Chiropractors vs. M.D.'s vs. Combat Conditioning
Dear Friend,
Couple weeks back I put a message entitled, "Beware
the Guilt Dispensers and Shame Mongers." Many of you
wrote to tell me it was the MOST powerful message I
have ever sent.
Today, I'd like to follow that message with one that will
definitely ruffle some feathers.
Over the years I have given praise to M.D's,
chiropractors, accupuncturists, and so on -
esp. those who advocate Combat Conditioning exercises for
their patients. There is an ever-growing trend from
physicians who are truly interested in their patients'
health, to prescribe more than visits to their office.
Many of our customers come from strong recommendations
from health professionals in ALL fields. And for this I am
very thankful.
Naturally, exercises like those found in Combat Conditioning
in many, many cases ... tend to eliminate back and neck
pain. And many of my customers have written to say, "No
more trips to the chiropractor, osteopath, etc. No more meds,
cortisone shots, etc."
I have never responded with any sort of message
that condemns the practice of any of these professions.
Reason why is simple: All are good. All serve a
function and all have helped a great many people.
I have been helped greatly from both chiropractors and
accupuncturists. I have also been helped by M.D.'s.
And, in my frequent trips to China, I've raved
about the foot, hand and body massages I've received.
I believe that each profession is good and has a terrific
function and role to play. I also believe each modality has
certain limitations. Afterall, the professional is HUMAN.
If someone gets a compound leg fracture, I don't believe
he should go to the chiropractor or accupuncturist. Maybe
I'm wrong but this is MY opinion. If someone has neck or
back pain - maybe it can be eliminated with the exercises
I teach. Then again, maybe it can't. Maybe the pain is
best treated with chiropractic first. Then again, maybe the
pain is best left for an M.D. or osteopath or accupuncturist.
I realize there are those who literally hate anything and
everything about certain professions. Therefore, when
they hear me write about my daughter getting microscopic
ear tubes put into her ears to help combat infection - they
feel it best to tell me how wrong I am. And they prefer to do
so with guilt monger tactics that I do NOT respond to in any
sort of pleasant fashion. In fact, the more guilt or shame used,
the more skeptical I become.
My message, "When you can prove to me, without the guilt
and shame tactics that your procedure works 100% of the
time in 100% of all cases, then I'll listen."
Naturally, it would be foolish to make a claim that any treatment
works 100% of the time in 100% of the cases.
But none do.
I am happy that the programs I put out have helped so many
people. We have customers now in 119 countries. And that
is a wonderful thing. But if you come to me with a broken
neck or back - don't expect me to fix you - ya know. There
are some whom I'd rather you pay a visit to first - and my
recommendation will vary depending upon the situation.
Anyway, tis all for today's message.
Kick butt - take names!
