There’s a lot of misleading information on walking and the good it does for your body. And it does do a lot of good for human beings.
It helps clear the cob webs. It helps get rid of negative emotions. It helps with spiritual development. It helps move the blood and control blood sugar. It helps with digestion. And I believe it helps you live a longer life.
Yes, walking is great exercise – especially if you want to be a philosopher or writer. Many of problem can be solved; many a creative endeavor can be conceived, by going for a good walk.
But let me draw a line in the sand for you.
When it comes to the so-called fat burning potential of walking, I think you’re better off on the couch. Or sleeping.
Unless you’re doing some very specific walking exercises that go beyond the norm, you’re better off taking a nap.
That’s right. forget all the talk for a moment and take a look around you. Perhaps on your very block you can see the same people outdoors
walking each day. Some walk for an hour or more per day, and if you’ve paid close attention, they look the same as they did last year, and the year before that, and the year before that.
Now, here’s something very, very interesting. There’s a slight change you can make, even if you’re a walker, a runner, a swimmer or a cyclist, that can turn a non-fat burning exercise into a fabulous fat burner.
This slight change will give you a massive edge over everyone else who trains “long and slow.” It will also rapidly ramp up the results you want to see and feel.
This slight change doesn’t require more time. In fact, it requires far less time. If you’re walking for an hour per day, seven days a week,
with this change you can cut back to zero walking, zero days per week.
In place of walking, you make an adjustment that is so powerful, even miraculous, that you only need to train in this manner two or three times per week, for a grand total of 20 minutes – and that’s the maximum amount of time to invest – not the minimum.
This slight change in your thinking and in the way you move has all the benefits of walking – times 10. And that’s being generous.
Want to rid yourself of fat? Nothing can compare to this slight change.
Want to rid yourself of negative emotions? Well, walking is great – but this change will make you feel like the negative feelings got vacuumed right out of your bodymind.
And when it comes to nutrition, although I advocate the eating of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables and lean meats – you don’t have to make any dietary changes whatsoever to start seeing and feeling results. Almost immediate results.
In fact, after one workout, you’ll notice a “shift” talking place within.
You’ll sense that your metabolism has changed. And it has.
Two nights ago I spoke to a couple in their 50’s. Both learned The Fastest Way Humanly Possible to Burn Fat from me in August.
