The dirty little secret about upper body strength ...
"BENCH PRESSING SUCKS!!!"
If you want a blown rotator cuff, torn pecs and strength that is virtually worthless - keep doing this exercise. But if you want world-class functional strength - keep reading.
Dear Friend,
Back when I was a runt teenage kid growing up in Iowa, I desperately wanted to pack some major beef onto my frame. Each day when I went to the gym I watched what the "big guys" did - then imitated them.
One of the "big guys" I learned from was Joe, a man 7 years my senior, who often cracked 1,000 pushups per day and ran for 8-10 miles without fatigue.
Joe was not often impressed with other people's training routines - but one day he pointed out another gentleman in the gym, named Dave - who only weighed about 190 pounds but had incredibly powerful and broad shoulders.
Dave's shoulders were not just broad though - they were strong, too. In fact, Dave could lift more weight in the military press than anyone in the gym. It was no contest either.
Naturally I wanted to know the secret of Dave's power. Being that Joe was a good friend of Dave's, he had the inside scoop.
"Not that long ago Dave was really weak in the overhead press," said Joe.
"But he learned that he could improve his pressing strength if he did handstand pushups. So he started working on them. And within a couple months his military press took off like a rocket."
Well, being that I also wanted to have big, strong, powerful shoulders, I found out from Dave how to do handstand pushups - and began a program. The program I followed was crude, nothing like what I know and teach today - but the results were dramatic. Like Dave, within a short period of time my pressing strength exploded.
Now, whether or not you train with weights or simply do bodyweight calisthenics, Handstand pushups are one of the "missing links" to overall strength development. They are a must for any truly serious trainee.
Here's why: Did you know that more than 90% of all men who train with weights cannot do a single handstand pushup? And doesn't this fact help explain why so many 'weight trained' athletes don't have much strength when it comes to overhead lifts?
Don't know about you, but when I first found this out I was stunned. The good news is that you can easily put yourself at the top of the heap, cranking handstand pushups with ease and improving your overhead lifts in record time (if you so desire), once you have the right information on how to do them.
When you watch the DVD and read the instructions contained in "The Secret Power of Handstand Training" that former Olympic weight lifter Ed Baran and I put together for you, your jaw will truly drop. You'll wonder "How the hell are they doing thaaaat?" when you see some of the exercises we demonstrate for you. Exercises that you can excel in as well.
In The Secret Power of Handstand Training, Ed and I cover 21 different handstand training exercises. We literally do take you from rank beginner to advanced trainee. Our DVD and manual
shows each exercise in action and gives you
crystal clear guidelines to follow, ensuring that you turn into a supreme butt-kicker.

A Marine's Testimonial on The Secret Power of Handstand Training
"I have to hand it to you on your course, Secret Power of Handstand Training. I was excited when I saw it on your web site, but I had no idea how much it would help. I'm a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, and am always looking for the next thing that'll give me an edge over my comrades. I've been taking Taekwondo for over a year now, and that coupled with the running and calisthenics I do with the platoon in the mornings has given me the thin, lean, "Bruce Lee" physique that I work for, so it was almost a blow to my ego when I found out how most of my almost 3 years of training wasn't very useful when I turned myself upside down and tried handstands.
For those that don't know, Marines pride themselves on their ability to do pullups. I've been working for years now to get to 20 pullups, which would add 100 points to my Physical Fitness Test score, instead of the 15 and 16 that I've been stuck at for as long as I can remember. I started your "Secret Power..." course almost two months ago. Through a period of 4 weeks, I built myself from 3 sets of 1 rep at 30 seconds to 3 sets of 1 rep at 180 seconds, with time to spare. To my delight, I'm doing 18 pullups now, and getting closer to 20 all the time.
Besides that, I've noticed some rather siginificant results:
- I've gained almost an entire inch on my arms, measuring around my biceps and triceps, in just under 4 weeks.
- My delts and traps now actually have size and definition.
- My lats and all the muscles of my back have grown in size and definition far more than they ever had even when I was doing over 60 pullups a day. I can actually feel a layer of muscle on my back. As a side note, all my back pain has vanished -- all of it! And I thought my back was healthy before...
- My chest and pecs have gotten a great work out, even though I didn't think I was working them.
- My wrists and forearms are a lot stronger. When I was a kid, I dreamed about being "Popeye", and beating the tar out of Bluto and making off with Olive Oil, and I'm getting the forearms to make my dream come true!
I know you're a busy guy, but I've been so pleased with your handstand course that I had to tell you. Handstand training truly is a "Secret Power", because if everyone knew what kind of results it delivered, they'd all be using it. Thanks for putting this product on the market, it's changed the way I build strength."

"I believe that Matt's Combat Conditioning is the best and most comprehensive physical culture system I've ever seen. Anywhere. So when I heard that Matt was producing a Handstand course with Ed Baran I ordered a copy in advance. I've been wanting to learn more acrobatic and gymnastic movements for years. I'm 36 and not too many gymnastic studios take old folks. This course is perfect. Age doesn't matter and you don't need a gym. I made improvements in my very first workout."
Brian Nesmith

"This course gets a double thumbs up. As a retired glider pilot, it reminds me
of things I learned many, many years ago."

"My name is Pablo Cruz. I'm a SGT in the US ARMY and I am currently in Iraq. I've got to say, man that handstand course is great - Awesome training tool! That and a pull up bar is the only training tool I have here. I've gained incredible strength in my upper body with your program. I love it. "

"I've been doing or trying to do handstand work for years with varying degrees
of success. Until now any instruction I found has been vague to put it mildly!
You guys are showing me things that I never even considered in your approach to the subject.I got going right away with a whole new attitude! Thanks again, Matt, for all these priceless secrets you are bringing to our attention."

"Your handstand course is so awesome! I learned so much new stuff, when I am training I don't know which exercise to do since there are so many good ones. Thanks a lot for making this."
Mark Cleveland
"Matt, I recieved your handstand course, and I've only got this to say: You are the man! This is a GREAT course! I am 16, and have been lifting for about 2 years. This stuff though, blows lifting away. No comparison. I haven't been able to overhead press because I messed up my shoulder a while back, but these handstands feel great. Yesterday, I tried to do a
handstand push up, and got my head about 3 inches from the floor, and came all the way back up. This is a big improvement over just a week ago, when I couldn't even lower myself at all. Thanks very much, both to you and Ed, for putting this course out. I'm really looking forward to being able to do full-range handstand push-ups. I'll let you know when I accomplish that goal! Oh, BTW, at first I kind of balked at the price, thought it was kind of steep. But now that I have the course, I have to say that it is worth every penny."
Matt Fleming
"Matt,
Just want to thank you for writing Combat Conditioning and The Secret Power of Handstand Training. As a lifelong weightlifter, I used to scoff at calisthenics. Until I tried some of the exercises in the books. I now regularly do Hindu pushups, fingertip pushups, front and back bridges, handstand pushups and handstands, and the neck stretches. I also use the superwheel to walk on my hands. I still lift weights, but I mix in the bodyweight exercises. Since incorporating the bodyweight exercises, I have never felt better. At 38 years of age, I have never been stronger. Those handstand pushups are incredible and very humbling, but my shoulders have never felt better. No more rotator cuff problems. Anyway, the point I want to make is that if I had not read your books I would probably still be wallowing in my ignorance. Thanks again.
Sincerely,"
Jim Jensen

"Hi Matt,
"I wanted to let you that the picture of you doing a full-range Handstand Pushups between two chairs was a true inspiration to me. I wanted to be able to do that! I ordered your course a couple months ago; at that time I could only push out 1/2 range pushups from the floor. Today, I easily pushed out 4 consecutive full-range handstand pushups on tall stools! I am shooting for 10 consecutive before Christmas. Not bad for a 40-year old woman!
"Thank you again for the course and the inspiration!"

Well, my friend, after reading all of these testimonials, the decision should be an easy one. The Secret Power of Handstand Training should sell for as much as $299.00 - but right now, as part of a special marketing test, we have dropped the price to an unbelievably low $79.00 plus S&H.
I cannot say how long this test will last, so jump on this offer right away.
If you think $79.00 is expensive, then think again. You can spend years in a gym, paying big bucks to pump iron, slug down protein shakes, "ripped fuel" and over-priced whey protein bars - and you still won't have the power that this course gives you.
Once you master handstand pushups, you'll be the envy of all the "flexers and strutters" - all the "pretty boys" and "mirror gazers." Your mere presence will make THEM, not you, feel inadequate and weak.
Click the order button below and you'll soon feel the results that so many people are raving about.
Best,
P.S. There is nothing else like The Secret Power of Handstand Training on the market today. So when I say "It'll Give You the Power," I mean it. Order now and take advantage of our special price. And become our next powerhouse testimonial.
