51 Yr. Old Lady Reveals Fitness Secrets
Dear Friend,
Before I get into today's message, let me
tell you that "the guilt runneth over."
What do I mean?
Well, basically, there's this contingent of elitist snobs
who think they know everything there is to know about
exercise, diet, weight loss - you name it.
I am the exact opposite. I never stop learning. Whether
I'm in China, or Australia, or New Zealand, or Canada -
and so on .. I am continually searching and experimenting
to find superior methods of training. And I regularly come
across many concepts that I didn't know before - esp. in my
regular voyages to China.
Talk to someone in China, or pretty much anywhere in the
so-called "Far East" - and you'll find that their beliefs about
exercise and the ability to ... yes, "spot reduce" - coincide
with mine.
Mix some deep breathing or "chi" with what you are doing
and dramatic changes begin to take place that astound and
confound your neighbors. They will often ask, "What have you
been doing? You look marvelous."
And when you reply by telling them that you're doing the Magnificent
Seven from Combat Abs
they may scoff and say, "But you can't spot reduce. It's been proven.
You
must be doing something else."
"No, actually, this is all I've been doing," you reply.
"But that's impossible," replies the schmexpert. "You cannot lose weight
unless you change your diet, do a ton of vigorous cardio exercise, pump
iron at least three days per week, do a Spin class, take some Yoga,
generally
torture yourself and become a bonafide fanatic like me."
Okay, okay. I'm sure I've really stirred the pot now. And that's a good
thing.
Bottom line is this: The same schmexperts (by the way, that stands for
schmuck-
expert, a term I coined about 8 years back) who say that squats with
knees over
the toes shear the knees - are the same people saying that "it is
proven" that
you cannot spot reduce.
Well, just as the knees-over-toes concept is being passed around like a
commandment,
the truth is there is "no study" that proves anything about
knees-over-toes squats.
The "closest" study ever done was conducted with ... of all creatures
... rats. Not
humans. R-a-t-s!!
Sure, when using a barbell you don't squat with your knees over your
toes because
you need to keep your balance. But when you are only using your
bodyweight, tis
a very different animal.
In regard to the "can't spot reduce" crowd - would you believe that this
"no can do" thinking began with a 1950's study in which a small group
of subjects
were given 3 sets of 12 situps per week. And guess what? No fat loss on
the gut.
Duh.
Now on a scale of 1 to 10 - I give situps a 1 and the Farmer Burns
Stomach
Flattener a 12. When you do situps you don't mix it with deep breathing
and
concentrated flexing of the muscles, like you do with the exceptional
exercises
I teach.
Mixing the breath with abdominal exercise is the whole key to slicing
fat off
the midsection. But the naysayers cannot and will not be convinced -
ever -
even though they have never tried it for themselves to discover whether
or
not they, rather than me, has been feed a line of ca-ca.
For years I have heard the exercises in Combat Conditioning
do not work to make
your stronger or to help you lose weight - or for muscular weight gain.
And for years
the testimonials have pored in saying the exact opposite. The
incredible exercise
work. Period. And this makes me darn proud to be on the forefront of
this movement.
Anyway, this morning I received the following "proof" that I want to run
by you. I think you'll love it. Here goes:
Hi Matt,
I'm a middle age woman, will be 52 next month and have tried different
forms of exercise at various times in the past including private
instruction
in pilates, strength training etc. With all the money I've spent I
could have
bought most of your products or maybe all with some change left over.
I have three of your products - Combat Conditioning, Combat Stretching
and
Combat Abs. I do the Hindu squats until my quads fail. The full push up
I
can do 1. Initially that was a big challenge - I can't do it so I
decided to
mimic the exercise on my knees.
The first few exercises on my knees (3 repetitions) but now I can do
more
and can proudly say I can do 2 full pushups. The reward is I'm energized
and not worn out. Also I've noticed that my flexibillty has improved.
I have progressed even at 50% effort. Your Combat Abs is the crown
jewel.
It's a time saver and having done it regularly for the last few days, I
noticed
that it is very uncomfortable to over eat. It's the primo core
conditioning exercise
plus the other ones (the rest of the 6) I could go on and on but I
wanted to tell you
that I am one happy customer.
Your claims about your exercise are absolutely right on. For the
results, your products
are a great buy for good health. All the best to you.

M.F.: Lita, I am just as proud of you, who started my exercise program
when most
people have long before given up. You are to be commended. Yet, you are
not alone.
Numerous men and women are now in formation doing as you are - and
reaping major
rewards. For the ambitious, curious, thrill-seekers who want results,
you're living proof
that it can be done, if you'll simply get off the cushion and make a go
for it.
Well, my friend, tis all for today. Can't wait for the "How dare you?"
emails to
start poring in.
Kick butt - take names!
