What Do You Say to Yourself When You Get Up Each Day?

The thoughts you think before lopping off to sleep
at night - as well as the thoughts you think first thing
in the morning, are mega powerful.

Yet, the average person is totally unconscious about
what he thinks during these ultra-important moments.

What you say when you talk to yourself in the early
morning sets the tone for how you will feel - and what
results you will get - for the rest of the day.

And what you think before you go to bed at night has
a major influence upon what you will dream about
- and how you will feel when you wake up in the
morning.

You can go to bed with the final thought, "I'm really
tired." And guess what. You'll wake up eight or so
hours later still feeling tired.

But if you change your thought before bed to, "Mingtian,
wo yao gandao fei chang hao."

That's Mandarin Chinese for, "Tomorrow I will feel great."

I've taught this technique to thousands of people - and when
they try it - they're simply blown away at how powerful and
TRUE it is.

Want greater prosperity in your life. Then begin each day with
prosperity thoughts. And end them the same way.

Want to drop some excess poundage - then begin the day with
words, pictures and feelings of getting, leaner, lighter and
brighter.

Live your day with Powerful thoughts and your days will be
powerful.

Always remember that everything in the Universe vibrates - and
thought is the highest form of vibration.

To change your results you must change how you feel - and how
you feel is based on how your mind is vibrating. If you don't feel
a strong, pulsing vibration inside your mind and body right now,
it is because you are thinking low-vibration thoughts.

There are many tools and techniques you can use to raise your
rate of vibration - and thereby achieve whatever you truly desire.
But the very best are the 84 life-changing strategies taught in
Dr. Maltz Zero Resistance Living course. You can go ahead and
order NOW at http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html

Start applying these simple ideas and watch them change your life
in a profound way.

Best,

Matt Furey

P.S. Part of what I'm going to teach at my October seminar is how
you can permanently raise your personal level of vibration - as well
as how this will improve every area of your life. For more information

Should You Exercise Everyday?

How lazy can I be - or should I be? That's the
thinking of many who embark upon an exercise
program.

And you've got a bunch of idiot marketers out there
telling you that one workout per week - or per month -
will give you all the results you want.

Might as well start out being weekend warriors as soon
as we're born. Do nothing during the week - then go out
on Saturday and get hurt playing the game as hard as
you can. Doooiiii.

Let's examine an animal in the wild.

Does the ape ever say, 'I trained my lats really hard
yesterday climbing all those trees. I'm going to take a
week off so I recover.'

Does a deer ever say, 'You know, I ran about 40 miles
yesterday. My hoofs are tired. I think that should do for
a month.'

Does a shark ever quit swimming because he's already
eaten enough?

The answer to all the above is a big, bold 'NO.'

Animals in the wild do something every single day. They
don't think of it as exercise, as training, or as pumping
up.

Now, let's take the human being. First thing he must do before
he can begin training is put on the hat of the scientist.

He must read 20-30 books on exercise physiology. Then he must
read all the latest studies coming from Harvard, Berkeley, Rutgers,
Duke, Yale and Stanford.

After that he needs to ask everyone he knows what their opinions
are.

After that he's exhausted, plops his rumpus on the couch and watches
tee-vee.

The next day he wakes up tired - weaker than the day before - but feeling
superior and smart because he's read all the studies and supposedly
'educated' himself.

Now, what I have just described is REAL. Very real. It's the life of your
average - well, that's being kind - let's make that 'below average' -
idiot drifter.

In contrast let's look at the person who lives inside his own body, pays
attention to its signals - and does something according to what the
signals are saying.

For example, if the person gets up in the morning and feels tired, he
does some simple stretches and deep breathing exercises, just like
a cat or dog will do - and this energizes his body immediately.

Or he'll go for a walk and whilst moving his feet forward, he'll begin
to ponder what he wants to accomplish during the day. He pictures
what he wants and by the time the walk is over - he's flying high.
He can't wait to get started with his day - when the truth is he has
already begun. He's done the most important thing he can do - and
that is 'rev up the engine.'

Now, there are those who will train like a mad-man or mad-woman
on certain days. They'll turn exercise time into 'beat my body up a
bit so that it gets stronger' time.'

And the next day, if this person is sore or overly tired, he'll lighten
the load significantly. He may only go for a walk or do some
stretching - but mark my words, he'll do something.

He understands that the human body was given to you as a gift -
and if you don't take care of it, it'll be taken away from you sooner
rather than later. So he always, always, always does SOMETHING.

As Eugen Sandow once said, 'Life is movement.'

Life is NOT sitting around reading but not doing. Reading is good.
It's important. But far too many people are looking for ALL the
answers before they'll do something - and this is the wrong approach.

If you want to learn - and learn fast - you study a little - then you do
something right away. This method will teach you far more than reading
everything before you do something.

When I read a book, if Chapter One - or the first section contains a lot
of great information, I do not go on to Chapter Two until I've done
something with what I've just read. My job is not to be a professional
underliner, high-lighter or reader. My job is to be a professional DOER.

The rewards in life go to the DOERS - not to those who simply sit around
reading and studying.

Want to be a DOER? Then get started NOW with my Combat Conditioning book
and DVDs. They will change your life for the better - and they'll get you fired up
and into forward-MOVING mode faster than any other program ever created.

How to Deal With Ups and Downs

The great American writer, Louisa May Alcott once
wrote, 'I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning
how to sail my ship.'

This is sage advice for anyone starting out in business
today - and it's something I had to learn.

When you first begin learning anything new, even if there
is a bit of frustration - there is also a lot of excitement.
Creative juices flow and life passes by so fast you wonder
how what seemed like 15 minutes lasted for several hours.

But when times get tough, when there are storms, we often
forget that we are learning something; we're learning how to
sail our ships; how to navigate our businesses; how to speak
so people will listen; how to write effectively; how to paint;
how to listen and how to get fit.

When things look UP - we tend to feel UP. But that's easy to
do. It's when things look down that we must learn to feel UP.

Not in the sense of 'everything is wonderful' if it isn't - but in
the sense of 'I'm going to get through this. I'm going to turn
this adversity into an advantage. I'm going to make something
good come from this.'

Napoleon Hill wrote, 'Every adversity carries with it the seed of
an equivalent or greater benefit.' When you're in pain you may
resist such a statement - but I've yet to find this statement in
error - perhaps because I'm always looking for the seed of the
equivalent or greater benefit.

Many people don't know this, but when Dr. Maltz became an intern,
he called his father and told him that he finally received the clothes
of a doctor. He was so proud and wanted his father to see him. So
his father told his young son he'd be right over.

On the way to the hospital, Dr. Maltz' father was hit by a car and
killed.

Can you imagine the grief - and the guilt he felt afterward. All the
statements of, 'If only I hadn't made that call. If I'd have told my
father to come tomorrow, not today.'

It took some time for the young Dr. Maltz to recover - but recover
he did. And he went on to write a book, Psycho-Cybernetics, that
has sold 30 million copies worldwide.

The essence of the book is that although 1.5 percent of the population
have some sort of disfigurement that can be corrected via plastic surgery
- the other 98.5 percent have an INNER scar. Some hurt, heartache, mis-
fortune, failure, bankruptcy or blunder - and these painful experiences can
also be removed. Not by a surgeon's scalpel - but by YOU - in the Theatre
of your own Mind.

A lot of people equate Dr. Maltz work with visualization - and there is that
element to it. But his work goes FAR beyond visualization.

Recently Mike Storms, a friend and client, wrote to tell me he had spoken
to two people who claim to be followers of what I teach. To his amazement
both of them admitted that they had never read Psycho-Cybernetics - or
gotten the advanced course in Zero Resistance Living.

He was dumbfounded. In his email to me he wrote:

'I was expounding on the phone to both of them yesterday about
Zero Resistance Living and its impact on me, my kids, my students
and clients and players...

To my amazement they haven't gotten the course yet, and didn't even
sound like they wanted to, or realized that they are missing out; the ease
of success and the ability to make things appear in their life out of thin air.

Forgive me for saying it this way, Matt, but how do they follow you and not
read what in my opinion is the foundation of your empire (both seen and
unseen).'

In response to Mike's letter I wrote, 'People want to believe that success
boils down to the physical or visible mechanics. Yet, 90% of success is how
you use your mind and most people have absolutely no clue as to how they
use their own mind.'

Truth is, if you don't know how you're using your own mind, how can you
improve upon it - and how can you use it BETTER in order to get from life
what you truly desire.

Best,

Matt Furey

Finding Time to Get Things Done

Here's the secret to avoiding exercise: Tell yourself that
you don't have the time - any time - or enough time.

Blame it on time. Not on yourself or your ability to manage
your time.

Blame it on time. Not on how well you plan and organize
your life.

Time is always to blame. Never you.

I met a guy who wants to write a book - but according to him
he doesn't have any time. Between the stress of work and the
responsibilities at home, there's not a second left.

Or so he says.

One day I came by his home and asked if he had time to go for
a walk. He immediately dropped everything he was doing and
went for a one-hour jaunt with me. During the jaunt I did most
of the talking - mostly so there was no time for him to tell me how
he doesn't have any time write his book.

At the end of the walk, without me saying a word about his book,
he said, "Man, I'm feeling really good now. I'm going to go inside
and work on my book. I won't be able to sleep for at least a couple
of hours, so I can use this time to do something creative."

I nodded and walked back to my home.

The above is not an isolated event in my life. I've done this with many
people to "test" if their "song and dance" is true to form. It isn't.

It's pure bull-crap.

People often ask me, "How do you accomplish so much. How do you
manage to get so much done. Don't you ever sleep."

I'm always surprised by these comments as I'm not thinking about
what I did - I'm thinking about what I want to DO.

Even though I put the word "DO" in upper case - the key word in the
previous sentence is "want."

If you WANT to do something - you'll find a way to do it. It all boils
down to desire. How strong is your desire.

I like to encourage people to begin their exercise program with one-
minute of walking or calisthenics. Just one minute. That's all.

Anyone can find a minute. And then another - and another - and another.

But it starts with ONE - the one you have right now.

So tell your friend to get off his arse and do something. Don't listen to his
"song and dance" about not having time. If it's a priority, he'll make time.

And there's no easier way to find the time than the program I've mapped
out for you in Combat Conditioning and Combat Abs - 2 of my hot sellers.

Marine Seargeant Sounds Off

Just received this email from a Marine Sgt. who was stationed in
Iraq. Here's what he has to say about Combat Conditioning:

Matt,

My name is Jereme Roodhouse. I am a Sergeant in the United States
Marine Corps. I have been using the methods and technical described
in Combat Conditioning - http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html -
for close to two years and would like to say that it is amazing, what a difference
this type of workout can make.

I have put my body through many a different and difficult types of exercise
regimes and this is bar none; the greatest all around, functional program there
is.

I have recently returned from Iraq where I was deployed in the western Al
Anbar province. My unit spent the first month and a half clearing the cities
of the region, where we then set up battle positions (BP's) to patrol and
continue to route out the insurgency from the area. The operations were
arduous and continuous. We then remained at the BP's for the duration of
our deployment.

Leading up to this I had been using Combat Conditioning as my main
form or exercise and loved the results. I also had to endure the
required exercise of the military but would implement Combat Conditioning
at every opportunity.

Once in Iraq I was unable to keep this up due to our operational tempo.

However, my legs never failed me and even in the extreme heat, with
heavy body armor my body performed flawlessly. I know that the deep
breathing and the intensity of Combat Conditioning played a large role in
this. Even when I was able to exercise out at the BP's I had limited space
and next to no equipment which was perfect for Combat Conditioning.

At the end of the deployment I was rock solid and never used a weight
to do this.

I also gained about 5 to 10 lbs in muscle somehow.

In addition when I did have to run again I went hard for about 5 miles with
no problem.

Thanks for such a dynamic way to hone the body that God has provided each
and every person with.

Semper Fi,
Sgt. Roodhouse

M.F. Sgt. Roodhouse - I love the name. Congratulations on doing your duty,
not only for our country, but for your body. We'd like to send a gift your way,
please contact us for details. Welcome home.

Well, my friend, what about you. When are you going to step up to the plate
and serve your body they way this man has. I say, 'Do it NOW.' Go to
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html and get on the fitness
train.

Mr. President and The Power Wheel

We received this letter a couple of days ago about a workout used by former
President Ronald Reagan to stay in shape.

The following story happened at the Republican National Convention in 1980 after
Reagan tapped George H.W. Bush to be his running mate. At the time, Reagan
was 69.

"After Reagan tapped Bush as his running mate, a group of us enjoyed breakfast
together while visiting in Reagan's hotel suite. The suite had a common room for
hosting guests that was sandwiched between two bedrooms on each side. Bush,
Reagan, myself, and some others had been chatting with a mayor from a key
battleground state.

Wanting to ingratiate himself to the newly nominated presidential candidate, the
mayor said, "My, Governor, you sure look great for a man your age
in the midst of political battle. How to you manage to stay in such great
physical shape?"

Without saying a word, Reagan got up out of his seat and disappeared into his bedroom.

When he returned, in his hand was an exercise wheel. The thing sort of looked like
a doughnut with a stick running through its middle. "Here's my secret, Mr. Mayor,"
said Reagan.

And with that, the former Eureka College football player, still wearing his suit, dropped to his knees and placed one hand on each of the bars protruding from the wheel. In one long, graceful motion, Reagan stretched his body forward, distributing his weight from his knees to his hands, until his chest hovered inches above the floor. With equal fluidity, he then pulled back on the wheel, recoiling his body like a Slinky before returning to his original position.

"Wow," said the mayor. "I guess doing that every day would keep a man pretty fit."

After we had finished visiting, everyone left the hotel room, or so I thought. Savoring
the rare moment of tranquility, I sat down on one of the low-slung couches in the now
darkened visiting room and sat silently thinking through what the day might bring.
That's when I noticed that someone else was in the room. It was Bush. He walked
over to Reagan's little exercise wheel. Curiosity, it seems, had gotten the best of this
former Yale University baseball player.

Sitting perfectly motionless, I thought to myself: "I've got to see this."

Mimicking Reagan's earlier demonstration, Bush dropped down onto his knees.

Steadying himself, he put one hand on each side of the wheel and began to lean
forward. But as the wheel rolled out about two and a half feet, he began to lose
his balance. With shaking hands and wobbling shoulders, his elbows gave way,
sending him crashing face forward onto the carpet.

I rustled my papers to let him know someone was in the room. Startled, Bush
wrenched his neck around. When our eyes met, he realized for the first time he
was not alone. He popped up off the ground, and blew by me on his way out the
door without saying a word. It was one of the most unforgettable things I'd ever
experienced. "

A Secret Fat Reduction Technique

Made a mistake in an email some time ago. I
talked about a man (in his 50's) who flexed his
abs during Hindu Pushups and got a set of washboard,
six-pack abs for the first time in his life.

What was the mistake:

I was off by almost 20 years. In going through my archives
I found the link to the man who is so close to 72 that I rounded
his age upward.

If you missed that email you can find it again by going to
http://www.mattfurey.com/six_pack_72_year_old_011405.html

I told the man, Fred Romig, that he had just given away a tremendous
fitness secret. Certainly not the biggest of them all, but a significant one,
no doubt.

In the Magnificent Seven in Combat Abs for example, I talk about
the Back Arch With Forward Bend and Squeeze ... as well as the
Dynamic Side Bend Stretch With Isometric Squeeze.

Like the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener, these exercises involve
deep breathing and squeezing. And that's why they are so damn
effective in helping people knock inches off their waistlines.

The other day I was watching a lady teaching some classical
dancing movements. She had a 'killer' body .. and as she taught
her students these stretches, she told them to simultaneously squeeze
the muscles being stretched - especially the abdominals. Doing so, she
said, 'helps reduce unwanted fat.'

One of the many reasons why this is true is something called 'intensity.'
Why don't crunches work. Because there's nothing much to them.

Conversely, why does the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener work.

Because it requires an intense muscle contraction. Good news: It
only lasts two to five seconds - hence my constant harping of 'five
second abs.'

Truth be told, if the contraction is intense enough, one second will
move you along the path to your goals. 72-year old Fred Romig only held
his contraction whilst doing Hindu Pushups for one second. Granted,
he did more than one rep - but the power that pores forth from that
one second of each rep, that's the key.

Incidentally, in the monthly newsletter and CD that come with your
membership in the Matt Furey Inner Circle, I reveal a never-ending
array of powerful fitness and health secrets that will keep you on the
right road to superior health. So be sure to do the right thing and

Here's something else you should know, just in case: Got an email
from a lady who is laid up in bed for a few weeks due to an ankle
injury. She asked me what she could do to improve her fitness when
she couldn't put weight on her ankle.

Well, provided your physician agrees, you can begin with deep
breathing and abdominal contractions. Then you can do the same
for the rest of your body. There are several legendary stories of
weak, sickly boys turning into strongmen by employing this method
of flexing while on the hospital bed. It's not advisable for everyone,
that's why you need to bounce this off off 'el doctoro' - but you'd be
surprised to find out how many people could be benefitting from this
practice.

What's Bad for Your Back

For many people, lower back pain is quickly eliminated
with the KING of exercises.

I teach it in Combat Conditioning. It's call the bridge. And
it's the very thing, incidentally, that many ignorant health
professionals will advise you NOT to do. No small wonder when
they get paid for what they advise or do, eh. Yet there are plenty
of health care pros who advocate the bridge as I teach it.

Why. Because they're smart enough and open-minded enough
to truly take a look at how incredible it truly is.

In many cases, people who have had back pain for a
decade or more, have eliminated the pain in a week or
two just by doing the bridge.

The bridge increases strength and flexibility in the entire
spine - everything from the tailbone to the top of your
head. It turns on the electrical switch inside your body
to energize you. And it improves the functioning of all
your internal organs - especially your digestion.

On top of that, the bridge strengthens your hips, legs,
buttocks, spinal erectors, abs, neck - and so on.

Tis why it is the KING.

Yes, it is NOT for some - there are people who are already
so beat up they cannot and should not do it.. But the grand
majority of the population CAN and should do the bridge.

Likewise, they should stop doing the very things that hurt
the back.

What are the things that harm the back and spine. Well, there
are many. But today I'll give you five.

5 Things That Hurt Your Back

1. Doing deadlifts - worst exercise for the back ever invented.
Muy horible as they say in Espanol.

2. Heavy barbell squats - most injuries are NOT to the knees
from heavy squats. It's the lower back that suffers.

3. Bad mattress - this is a huge problem for many. Where
you spend 8-10 hours per day is an important investments.
Don't skimp in this area. Get a good mattress.

4. Too much sitting - Sitting on your rumpus for hours per
day is rough on your lower back. You must counter this
with exercise. Daily exercise.

5. Financial fears and insecurity - I'll have to do a report on
this in el futoro - but your emotional world does effect your
physical - and if you're continually living in terror of losing
monee - chances are you also experience lower back pain.

Look at the list above and if you have back pain - stop doing
all of the things that are harming you - and BEGIN doing
what will repair, rejuvenate and resurrect the power lying
within you.

Well, my friend, that's all for now.

Kick butt - take names,

Matt Furey

P.S. Be sure to find out how you can get my international best-seller,
Combat Conditioning, as well as several of my other life-changing
products, including CD's on how to lose weight, for almost nuthin.
To find out more go to http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html

P.S.S. This email - as well as all my others - are written stream-of-
consciousness, without correction. Naturally this will lead to typos
and misspellings at times - if not often. From time to time I receive
a long email from a spell-correction fanatic - otherwise known as
an editor - saying that he'll be glad to 'edit' my emails in exchange
for a copy of my book. This leaves me thinking, if you have THAT
much time to write me an email, as well as to correct my typos,
HOW good of an editor can you be. Good editors shouldn't have
time to lend their services for nuthin. Use your spare time to
find real paying clients. I ain't a gonna be one of them - not now -
not never. In the same vein as Sir Winston Churchill - who once
received a speech he was to give to a graduating class, back
with grammatical corrections - he responded to the young college
buckeroo by saying, 'Young man, you leave my speech uncorrected,
as is. This is the sort of criticism up with which I will not put.'

Well said, Sir Winston.

Twist Waist - Reduce Waist

One of the 'warmup' exercises you'll often see done
in the parks of China, just before tai chi practice, is what I
call the 'tai chi waist turner.' It's part of the Magnificent Seven
in Combat Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html

What exactly is it. Good question.

Essentially, you stand with slightly bent knees. Your hands
are at your sides. Limbs are relaxed.

From this position you begin twisting your waist back and
forth in a circular manner, and the centrifugal force of the
twisting causes your arms to flail along for the ride.

This seemingly simple movement has many, many benefits.

Number one, it helps to realign the vertebrae, especially
the vertebrae in the lumbar region.

Number two, it gives your internal organs a good massage,
helping them do a more efficient job. This internal massage
leads to improved circulation and better digestion.

Number three, this twisting is a movement often neglected
in most 'abdominal training' programs, which is a major mistake.

Many injuries to the lower back result in quick twists or sudden
movements - or even an incredibly simple act like picking up
a pencil.

When you practice the 'tai chi waist turner' - the chances of
injuring yourself in the future via a simple twist are reduced.

Twisting also targets the 'obliques' - an area that can
accumulate excess fat quite readily. Some people refer to
this excess fat as 'love handles.' I've often said they are
'hate handles' because - other than Kirstie Alley, aka the
Fat Actress - ain't many people out there who love 'em.

Movements that twist or that go side-to-side, also covered
in Combat Conditioning - http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html -
help reduce unwanted lard on the waist. This follows the axiom,
'Fat can only accumulate on the body where there is the least
amount of activity.'

So next time you see a tee-vee program showing people practicing
the waist turning warmups for tai chi - don't look the other way.
Start twisting yourself.

Kick butt - take names,

Matt Furey

Incidentally, yesterday Clayton repeatedly told
the room about Psycho-Cybernetics - how he uses
the principles in his work and life - and how the book
changed his life.

How much did it change his life. Well, last year he
made 2.7 millyun smackeroos in royalites alone.

I'd say that's pretty good, don't you.

This fact, shows once again, how the teachings of
Dr. Maxwell Maltz have taken many people to the
top of their games; in sports, in business and in
life.

30 million people have bought a copy of Pscyho-
Cybernetics over the years. The book is a classic.

Hungry Gator Comes a Calling

Yesterday morn I was at the beach condo working on
a project when the cell phone rang.

I let it go a couple times - as I was totally focused on the
job before me - but when it buzzed a third time I thought,
"Well, better see who this is."

I took the call. It was my wife calling to tell me about the
alligator in front of our door.

"What should I do," she asked.

"Uh, well, how big is it."

"He's just a small one. Just a baby."

"Okay, then call animal rescue or gator rescue or whatever
it is - and keep the baby inside."

An hour later the gator was nowhere in sight, so Zhannie went
outside to scope the territory. She spotted the gator hiding in the
bushes. Luckily our neighbor was outside. Zhannie told him what
was going on and he lured the gator out of the bushes, then chased
him back into the pond.

Last night I thanked our neighbor for his help. Then he said, "I wish he
was a lot bigger - then I'd have a better story to tell."

Very true, I thought - then again, maybe you wouldn't want to be telling
THAT story.

The good thing about our neighbor is he works out all the time. He does
Hindu Pushups, squats and bridging. He walks, swims and rides his bicycle.
At 45 he's in decent shape.

Then we have a few other neighbors who could stand to drop about 178
pounds of excess blubber. If they had to chase the baby gator - they'd
probably croak.

This is yet another reason in Fure-cat's bag - telling you "why" you need
to keep fit, why you need to train - and why you need to do it NOW. Afterall,
you never know who might be lurking in front of your door.

Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html and gator-proof
yourself.

Tough Times Never Last

Life is a series of peaks and valleys. And sometimes the
valleys feel mighty low. They pale in comparison to our
best moments.

It is easy to begin feeling low if we enter a slump. If you're
used to making a certain income, then suddenly sales are
slow - the first thing we reach for are the reasons why this
is so.

It's tax time.
It's the economy.
It's the immigrants.
It's the price of gas.

And so on.

Yet, all of the above are NOT the reason for a slump because
there are others going through the same conditions who are
producing great results.

Now, there are and will always be 'contributing factors' to a slump -
but the biggest factors for the slump are as follows:

a. Unwillingness to change, experiment, try new ways of doing the
same thing - but get better results

b. Too much time telling "your story" of why things aren't going well
instead of getting off your rumpus and doing something to shake
things up.

If you start paying attention, you'll be amazed at how much time and
energy people invest in telling their negative 'woe is me' story. During
the same amount of time the person spends telling and retelling his
story - he could be doing something to make things better - but that
would mean that the story is no longer true - so it's better to keep
on talking.

But it's not.

When times are tough, when you're in a slump - you break out of it
by imagining the circumstances you want - then DOING whatever it
takes to create those circumstances. The only talking you do during
this time is positive self-suggestion. You can start with a phrase like,
"Tough times never last - tough people do - and I'm tough as nails."

Or you can say to yourself, "I feel like I'm in a rut right now - but
I CAN do something about it. And I'm GOING to do something about it.
I am bigger than this problem and I'm rising above it."

Repeat these thoughts to yourself with enthusiasm - and watch how
things start to open up for you.

P.S. Psycho-Cybernetics tip coming later today.

Stretch like a cat

What you do in the first few minutes of your day sets the
tone for the rest of it. Tis a fact, Jack.

This is why it is important to begin your day with thoughts
of happiness, success, great health and prosperity.

As soon as your feet hit the deck, you want to be launched
into the realm of success - the 'get something done today'
realm.

No more putting off til tomorrow what you can and should
do today. No more dilly-dallying.

One of the key ways to help set you on this course is to
always have a daily goal - especially a daily fitness goal.
And if you achieve that goal first thing in the morning,
the rest of the day is going to be awesome.

Yesterday when my son Frank and I arose from slumber,
I asked him how many pushups he wanted to do. He chose
the number - I counted. Then I asked him how many Hindu
squats. Again, he chose the number and I counted. We did
the same for situps.

Then I went to work on some Hindu Pushups and other stretches.
I not only stretch my body - but my mind, too.

The Hindu Pushups is a bit like a cat stretch - as well as a dog
stretch. I'm not a big tee-vee watcher, but contrary to what some
think, there are some good stations. Animal Planet is one of them.

I love that show.

Last night I watched the special they had on wild cats. Everything from
lions to tigers to cheetahs to leopards to mountain lions and a lynx.

Watched a mountain lion nab a deer, drag it throw the forest, latch
onto to its neck and PULL it up a tree to hand over a branch (for
safekeeping). Now, let me tell you, that's some major league strength.

So watch how these wild - as well as domesticated cats (and dogs)
stretch. They stretch backward hundreds of times per day. And they
do it as soon as they wake up.

You, my friend, would be well advised to do likewise.

Doing so will not only increase you strength and flexibility - but it will
ENERGIZE you for hours.

I'm betting you'd like some of that good old fashioned ENERGY. Well,
get it the old fashioned way. Move your body the way it wants to be
moved. Stretch like a cat and you'll know why cats stretch the way
they do.

By the way, you can learn all about this form of exercise in my Combat
Conditioning book and DVDs. Go gobble them up NOW by sprinting over
to http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html

Kick butt - take names,

Matt Furey

P.S. Do you know why cats kill mice. I'll cover that in the future. In the
interim, you should also look into being an elite member of the Matt
Furey Inner Circle - wherein I and my extraordinary group of DOERS - whom
I call the Furey Faithful, make darn sure you're getting the results you
want. Come join us by going to http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html

Achieve a new goal everyday

When most people talk about goals they usually refer to their
one-year, 5-year and 10-year plans.

Nothing wrong with that.

However, in order to have a constant feeling of success coarsing
through your veins, I always advise having 'daily' goals to
accomplish.

By daily goals I do not mean your "to do" list. Not at all. I mean
something you can do each day to be creatively alive; something
you can point to and say, "Look what I accomplished today. Look
what I achieved. Look what I created."

It might be a fitness goal. You make your goal of walking 5 miles.

It might be a writing goal. You start and finish that article you've
been thinking about.

It might be a painting; or the closing of a sale.

As a college wrestler I realized that when I went to practice with
a specific goal, I ruled the room. The same opponent in practice
whom I would struggle to beat would be mince-meat if I had a
goal to throw him, for example, 20 times. I proved this over
and over.

Your mind loves something to focus on; a target to hit.

And every day that you hit at least one target - that's a day in
which your confidence soars.

At the beginning of each day, ask yourself, "What do I want to
create today. What goal do I want to accomplish today."

Write down the answer - then get going.

Throw yourself into action and watch how the hours go by.

Why. Because you're creatively alive. And that's a good way
to live.

Best,

Matt Furey

Resistance Living. Go check it out by skating on over to

Easter Belly Coming

For about 20 years, my mother worked with adult
mentally disabled and retarded. She loved them,
often took them to church on Sundays - helped feed
them and give them nourishment.

One of her favorite stories centered around a man
in his 40's who, for the 30 days leading up to Easter,
would get excited, wave his hands and say, 'Easter
belly coming.'

Given all the candy children eat during Easter - I guess
he was spot on. It's the Easter belly - not the bunny, that
is coming.

For many Easter is a holiday for celebration - a reason to
be joyful. Yet, the truth is that every day is a reason to be
joyful and celebrate - and all of us have an Easter belly or
bunny inside of us - a thought that can change negative to
positive and turn loss into gain.

On Monday of this past week a friend of mine was informed
by his wife that she wanted a divorce. He told me that he
cried harder that day than he had ever cried in his adult
life.

I gave him encouragement - helped point out to him his
strengths, and his ability to turn disadvantage to advantage.
He got the message and when I talked to him on Friday,
you'd think he'd be reborn. He's gaining in mental and
emotional strength each day.

He understands the deal. Loss can be painful - but we are
never given a space in our lives that cannot be filled with
something of a higher nature. Key thing is understanding
that the 'something' of a higher nature begins WITHIN us.

My son, Frank, almost 6, resists the morning shower. He
likes to shower at night - but hates doing it in the a.m.

But this week he's changed his mind. I explained to him that
when we sleep we 'shed our skin.' And that we need to shower
in the morning to get the old skin off our bodies and make
room for the new.

He got it. Shed the old - bring on the new.

Each day you have a choice to shed the old, painful memories
of the past and focus on the good you've accomplished - as
well as the good you are going to accomplish.

It's a choice.

Make that choice each day. Look yourself in the mirror and do as
Dr. Maltz says on the video clip I sent you earlier this past week.
Ask yourself, 'Charlie ole boy, what kind of a day is it going to be
today.'

Then reply out loud with, 'It's going to be a GREAT day.'

Go see the clip for yourself at http://www.mattfureydownloads.com/video/maltz.html

Why Running Suks

Konichiwa,

Today's 'hello' comes from Japan - another place
on my list of countries to visit.

Konichiwa reminds me of the marathon I ran in 1990,
in Honolulu.

I was one of over 13,000 entrants in the race, and
two-thirds of them flew in from Japan. Don't know if
this was the main reason, I doubt it, but I heard
twas cheaper for them to fly to Honolulu, spend a
week in a hotel, etc. - than it was to stay home.

Running a marathon in Honolulu, can be brutal.
Good news is that it started at 5:30 a.m. - in
pouring down rain.

I finished the deal with the uncanny rank of 1,101 -
how strange is that. My time was 3:35:52.

Not good enough to qualify for Boston - but good
enough to be in the top 10 percent of runners.

Honolulu was my first and last marathon.

A month after running it, I walked outside my gym
in Soquel, CA, and began my trot. After running
about 150 meters, I stopped .. asked myself, 'What
in the hell are you doing this for,' - then turned around
and walked back.

It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Long distance running, for the most part, is a horrible
form of exercise. It does more damage to the body than
good. Pounds the living crapola out of your ankles, knees,
lower back - you name it.

Hill sprints are ultimately much better for you.

Running a couple miles is much better than 5-6 or more. At
the same time, be sure to monitor how your body feels. My
brother, Sean, tells me that many of you have written to
complain of knee pain, ankle pain, back pain, and so on -
and after doing so you reveal that your run almost everyday
and that it hurts when you run.

Uh- duh. Stop the running, my friend. Build the strength in
your legs. Build the strength of your knees and ankles. And
yes, Combat Conditioning - http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html -
does that for you.

Hindu Squats not only strengthen your muscles, but the ligaments
and tendons of the leg as well. That's why so many people,
IF they follow my instructions (not their own ideas) - find themselves
eliminating knee pain with Hindu Squats. But it must be done
properly. Work into it gradually. Coax yourself along. Do NOT
force yourself along.

Road work is always preferable to long-distance running - and I'll
have more on that in a future tip.

Yes, I realize that running is a requirement in many athletic teams
as well as in the military, etc. But it is the rare (and dumb) coach or
trainer who has the athletes doing more than 2-3 miles of running.
So don't complain if that's all you have to do. Just do it.

But in your spare time, crank out the exercises in the Royal Court
and your strength/endurance will skyrocket.

All for now.

Kick butt - take names.

My First Rude Awakening

My first rude awakening in teaching others how to
get fit took place in February of 1987; nearly 20
years ago.

I just signed up my first client for personal training;
a 16-year old who hadn't done a lick of exercise
beyond the schools P.E. program - assuming they
even had one.

I had recently finished college - and prior to training
this young man, the ONLY people I was ever around
were college or Olympic athletes. The only exception
to this was the wrestling camps I worked around the
country during the summers.

At these camps some of the kids were superstars;
some were good; and a lot were so-so.

But one thing held constant, when Sgt. Furey (that's
what the kids called me back then) barked out an
order for a specific number of pushups - it was 'so
let it be spoken, so let it be done.'

If I said, 'Drop down and give me 50 pushups' the
kids cracked 'em out.

So imagine my deep surprise, if not outright disgust,
when I told my first client, John, to do 25 pushups,
25 situps and 10 pullups ... for starters.

The dude couldn't do 5 pushups - and the five he could
do weren't too doggone good. He couldn't do more than a
couple situps - and a single pullup was out of the question.

At first I honestly thought he was faking it. I just could
not believe that a 16-year old boy could not do pullups,
pushups and so on. Yet, he wasn't faking it. He truly could
not do them.

The good news is that John stuck with me and the program
I had to tailor to him - and a year later he was no longer a
kid. He was a man.

When I was training kids in California I saw this scenario
time and again.

Had a 12-year old boy, Brian, who came to me for training. He
was obese and told me that it was heriditary. I told him that was
bull-crap.

I took him out to 'walk' up a steep hill because I knew he couldn't
run it. He was walking it at a snail's pace, on purpose, and refused
to walk briskly. When I pushed him to give it his best, he said, 'If
you don't quit telling me to go faster I'm going to quit and you won't
have my mom's money anymore.'

In response I said, 'Kid, go ahead and quit then because I don't
need your mom's money. I'm here to get you in shape. If you
won't follow the program you're better off going home.'

Brian turned right around and walked home. He quit on the spot.

Two years later he came back to my training center with his
father, asking to be re-instated. He apologized for quitting
and for his attitude. He asked for a second chance. Well, being that
I previously trained his older brother - and he went from fat to
fit in a matter of six months - I figured I'd give the boy a second
go-round so that I would be two-for-two (Note: We Fure-cat's don't
like losing.)

Brian was about 40 pounds heavier than when he quit, and it wasn't
height he put on either - it was pure lard.

I put Brian on a program that started slowly and gradually built him
up. He did everything I told him to do. And six months later his big
gut and excess lard were gone.

The moral of the story is simple: These were young kids who should
have been able to do some very basic exercises - yet they couldn't.
If that's the case with kids today - what about the adults? What
about the men and women in their 40's, 50's and beyond?

Well, in case you fit into the 40 and up category, rest assured that
I understand your situation. And I've coached a lot of people through
it. Many of the Furey Faithful got started with a Hindu Pushup or two;
with 5-10 Hindu Squats; with a stroll around the block; with a minute of
exercise.

Gradually these men and women added to what they did - and before
they knew it they were like new.

Today, although I no longer meet with and train one person after the
other all day long, I do teach my life-changing knowledge via my
courses as well as through the on-going support and help of the Matt
Furey Inner Circle - http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html

Those who are a part of it get a montlhy newsletter and CD that
teaches you what to do on an on-going basis. In addition to that
you get access to a private and exclusive online forum wherein
you can ask questions as often as you like and get the help,
motivation and internal drive you want.

Membership in my Inner Circle is your ticket to greatness in 2006.

Seriously - take a look at it. You get seven bonus gifts when you
enroll NOW and these gifts alone, if purchased separately, cost more
than the Inner Circle membership itself.

So come on - get with MY program. Don't make me chase you up
the hill to join. It's the right thing to do. You know it. I know it. Now
let's get down to business.

How to Raise Your Vibration Level

Many years ago, when I was living in California,
I would drop by a water store to fill a couple 5-gallon
jugs.

When I walked into the store I smiled and said hello and
the people who worked there suddenly sprang to attention,
straightened their slumped spines and smiled back.

Just like any other customer, I filled my water jugs, paid
my bill, said 'thank you' and left.

To my surprise, some weeks later, when I hired my first
trainer, I gave him the job of getting the water. After
filling the jugs the first time, he came back and gave me
the following report, 'The lady who works in the water store
said that whenever you walk into their store the whole place
lights up with energy.'

'Huh,' I said. I truly had no idea what he was talking about.
I most certainly had no idea why this was happening either.

The year was 1987 and at that time I had Dr. Maxwell Maltz'
Psycho-Cybernetics on my desk at all times. Each day I pulled
the book out and read a chapter, then did a visualization for my
business. And the more I did this, the more everything in my life
flowed. I felt great every single day. No fatigue. No stress. No
worries.

Yet, I had no idea that all of this could happen from nothing more
than a few deep breathing exercises followed by a few minutes
of mental imagery. How odd.

And I most certainly had no idea that the time I spent focusing
would change the vibration level in my body, so that others would
feel the difference in me. Had no earthly idea.

Regardless of whether I understood it or not and regardless
of whether I believed it or not, my vibration level was raised.
And what a wonderful thing that is.

Everywhere you go you will find that most people are vibrating at
a low frequency. The reason why can be found by asking each
person what their major purpose, goal or objective in life is. Or,
to make it even simpler, 'What is your goal for this year.'

If a person does not know the answer to this question, chances are
high that this person ain't vibrating at a high level. Sadly, 97%
of the people you meet cannot answer this question. They have no
objective, no goal, no purpose.

Yet, they do have buried dreams and aspirations ... and if you can get
the person to uncover them and focus on them for a minute or two,
you'll not how rapidly their personal vibration begins to shift. It doesn't
take long. The power of focused concentration is with you at all times.
All you need to do is let that power in by breathing deeply and placing
your mind on a single idea.

Want some guidance in doing this. If so, I have the perfect answer for
YOU. It's Dr. Maltz' 12 week system called Zero Resistance Living. To
discover more about it go to http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html

Also, if you don't have the Psycho-Cybernetics Subliminal CD's, I strongly
recommend them. The music is energizing, mesmerizing and powerful. And
without consciously attempting to make a change in your life, your life will
improve. Get them now at http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/subliminal.html

Best,

Matt Furey

P.S. The video I put up of Dr. Maltz has been a huge hit. A guy who is going thru
a painful divorce wrote to tell me that he watched the video and it totally changed
his thinking and took him out of his negative state. I suggest that you make time to
watch it everyday for 21 days - followed by the exercises in Zero Resistance Living.
There's no charge for watching the video. Simply go to the Psycho-Cybernetics
website and click the square in the upper left corner of the page.

There's Magic In This

People often wonder how I have been able to achieve in
so many areas of my life.

First as a swimmer. Then as a wrestler. Then as a personal
fitness trainer. Then as a martial artist. And then as a
writer, entrepreneur, speaker, etcetera.

Those who wonder would also like to know how they can
have the same sort of results in their lives.

Well, the formula for success is quite simple - yet no matter
how simple - only 3% of the population will do it - regardless
of all the evidence and proof given throughout the ages by
the most successful men and women who have ever lived.

Why would such a small percentage follow the formula. Is it
that they want to live lives of quiet desperation.

I don't think so.

I think the reason so few follow the formula is because they
would rather conform to the norm than be the unique person
they were created to be.

Conformity is the curse of mankind. Find out what the masses
are doing, then follow them.

But the masses don't have the answers - on virtually any
subject under heaven.

I've made it a point to follow WINNERS and ignore losers.

I don't take advice from people who are not winning in the
game of life. I don't take advice from people who know less
than I do on a subject.

If I want to become a champion athlete - I find the champion
coach. I don't find the coach who knows less than I do - I find
the guy who knows more.

On the internet, I don't work with people who don't know anything
about it. If I want a webpage built, I get the best guy to do it for
me.

In short, I surround myself with people I can learn from. And
when I'm around them, I am remarkably quiet. I realize that
I have four holes in my head that absorb information - and one
in which to give it.

I believe that people who want to be successful could accelerate
the process tremendously if they'd shut up and listen. And by
listening I mean opening your eyes and your ears - closing your
mouth and absorbing all you can.

This is a fairly simple procedure - yet you'd be surprised how many
people won't follow it.

As a coach, mentor, speaker and so on - I am paid to give advice.
I get paid by the thought. And I put my thoughts into both written
and spoken form.

But when the time ticker shuts off - you'd be astounded if you saw
how little I say. People are often stunned to discover that the person
they viewed as a "loudmouth" is often remarkably quiet and reserved.

Yes, I do talk to others. Yes, sometimes I talk too much - but more
often than not - I'm listening, asking questions and taking mental -
and/or written notes while someone is speaking.

Yes, I have goals I want to achieve - but one of them is NOT showing
people how smart or clever or educated I am. I have no desire to prove
what I know - how much I know - or anything of the sort. I do have the
desire to help others grow with the knowledge I have - but ONLY if they
ask for it or want it. Someone could spend weeks with me - and if they
don't ask me any questions, it's quite likely I won't give them any
answers.

My wife often tells me that I'm more Chinese than the Chinese. I take
that as a compliment. And she means it as one.

I spend time each day reading the thoughts of other great men who
passed this way before - as well as listening to what they have to say.

And as you know, Dr. Maxwell Maltz is a personal favorite. Yesterday
I sent you a link where you could listen to a video clip of him for
no charge. Today I'm sending it to you again. And when you listen to
him - really really listen. Turn off the buffers. Turn off the "I know this
and I know that" filters. Turn off the "Notice how he does this or does
that" filter.

Be still and listen. And as you listen - take notes. Then do what he
asks you to do.

Go to http://www.mattfureydownloads.com/video/maltz.html right
NOW and see what the giant passed on to us.

Best,

Matt Furey

P.S. I'm also having a big special on my Stay-at-Home Internet Millyunair
course - go to http://www.knockoutmarketing.com/home_internet_millyunair.html
to check on it.

Put Your Mind Into Your Muscles

You wouldn't think that someone would have to
tell you this. You'd think it's one of those 'common
sense' bits of wisdom.

Well, as the saying goes, "Common sense is anything
but common."

What I'm talking about is connecting your mind to your
muscles. I'm talking about 'getting inside' your muscles
as you train.

For example, take a look at someone you see walking
along the road. Or running if that suits you better.

In almost all instances, if you really look, you'll see a
person exercising with a mind/body disconnect. They're
moving their body alright - but they're not really in their
body - at least not in any sort of enlivening or empowering
way.

The same is true of your average work zombie. There's a
reason for the saying that "Most people stop looking for work
as soon as they find a job."

When you have a mind/body disconnect - your sense of
power is severely restricted. You're going through the motions
but you're not really involved. And when your mind is not
engaged in your activity - you won't get the sort of results
you'd like.

This is why, when you stretch, you learn to flex your muscle -
then you learn to tell it to relax. You get inside the muscle and
tell it what to do. You are the commander of your ship. So make
sure you're at the helm when the vessel is out to sea.

When you do your Hindu Pushups, get inside the muscles. Tell
them to stretch, tell them to get stronger, tell them to take the
shape you want them to have. See the way you want to look as
you train - and tell yourself - even FEEL yourself already becoming
that type of person.

Do this and I can assure you that your results will sky rocket.

Plenty of the Furey Faithful can vouch for this. They don't just
workout - the get inside the cells of their body when they train.

How to Make Everything Count

No matter what you do throughout each day, you have the ability to make all of it contribute to the improvement of your life.

When you eat, exercise, sleep or read - you can dedicate each of these actions by placing an intention upon them. Instead of merely doing the thing - you do the thing with the idea of producing an intended result.

Some years ago I heard it said - and this is profound - that you can program you mind to accept that 'everything' you do all day long is helping you earn more income.

Now - you might sit there and think - not possible. Yet, it can be if you place your imagination inside each of your actions.

The late Foster Hibbard had a piece of carpet with dollar symbols all over it. He took it with him everywhere he went.

What did he use the carpet for. You may be shocked to discover that he placed it beside his bed before going to sleep at night. Then, when he arose, the very act of placing his feet on the rug in the morning, helped condition his mind to accept greater wealth and prosperity - and that it was with him from the moment he placed his feet on the floor each morning.

I ask - what are your first thoughts when you put your feet on the floor each day?

And what are your thoughts throughout the day when you eat, drink, walk, work or talk?

You can turn any of the above into an act that 'counts.'

In Dr. Maxwell Maltz' advanced trainings, he teaches you how to dedicate everything. Whether it is taking out the garbage or taking a shower or clearing your calculator - all of these can be turned into mental nourishment for body, mind and soul.

It is all in what you INTEND to make them - and what you INTEND that they make YOU.

Best,
Matt Furey

Teddy Roosevelt Didn't Do Cardio

I'm going to talk about Teddy Roosevelt in a bit - but first, let me talk a bit about a health care professional I met who knows too much when it comes to nutrition.

I say this because he doesn't have a lick of fat on his body - yet, he doesn't look like he has an ounce of muscle, either.

Being lean is a desired goal for many people. But in and of itself, being lean isn't such a great idea.

Here's why: A lot of very lean people think they're healthier than others because they don't have much body fat; yet these same weenies have very little LIFE FORCE. They have almost zero power. Their persnickety diet has zapped them of vitality. Instead of eating healthy - they obsess and worry about every morsel.

And all the worrry, obsessing, and angst is zapping these people of life force. Tis not good.

Lack of vitality and life force can be gauged from a simple handshake.

When a worry-wart shakes your hand pay attention to what you feel. No, I am not checking to see if he can or cannot crush your hand. That only tells you how strong he is. What I'm checking for is the level of vibrancy or electricity in the person's hand.

Case in point is the health care guy I mentioned. When I shook his hand he gave a fairly firm handshake. But there was no electricity. In fact, his hands had a numb and chilly energy to them. That's saying a lot when it's 100 degrees out, don't you think.

At another time the guy put his hand on my shoulder to make a point about nutrition. Once again, the hand was darn near lifeless. Might as well have put a skeleton's hand on me. It didn't feel much different.

So you might wonder, why is this. How can someone who eats nothing but the perfect diet and does a ton of cardio, running, cycling, etc. - be so devoid of vibrant power.

There are many reasons but the soundest one of all is as follows: The guy doesn't do deep breathing exercises. When you breathe deeply and fully and do so from various stances and positions, you quickly change the vibration level of your mind and body.

Yesterday I had a group of men in for some coaching. I taught them some deep breathing exercises and we did them together for a few minutes. Afterward they felt energy running up and down their spines, tingling sensations in their hands and heat coming from the bottoms of their feet.

Two hours after we did the exercise they were still feeling the effects.

These men learned the meaning of the Farmer Burns saying, 'Deep breathing alone has made many a weak man strong and many a sick man well.'

He was right.

You cannot ONLY eat your way to vibrant health. That's like putting fuel in a tank and never starting the engine. Exercise is king - but it's got to be the right kind of exercise - not just anything.

I have nothing against long-distance running. If that is a person's goal I am all for him. But I will point out the truth, unless you're balancing your running with powerful bodyweight exercises, like those taught in Combat Conditioning - as well as the Dynamic Stretching and Deep Breathing as taught in Combat Stretching - you're doing more harm to your body than good.

All the pounding you put your body through when doing long-distance running is just plain 'bad medicine' for your body. You're far better off doing sprints, hill sprints, rope skipping, swimming, tai chi, and so on.

Okay, I'm going to make an off-the-beat point. I'm stretching things a wee bit. But I sincerely believe we need to get back to having tough guys like Teddy Roosevelt in the White House. Roosevelt wrestled, boxed and did ju-jutsu. And along with those combat sports come the greatest physical fitness exercises in the world - bodyweight exercises.

21 Days to a New You

How you see yourself on the INSIDE reflects what you'll become on the OUTSIDE. What I'm talking about is your self-image.

You can never really rise above your self-image. Like the air conditioning mechanism in your home that controls the temperature of the room, your self-image dictates how far you stray from the image you have in mind. And, if by force of will, you manage to stray, rest assured your self-image will snap you back into line - just like a rubber band that has been expanded. Once expanded, later retracted.

Let's say you want to improve your income, or reduce your weight, or find the ideal mate. You've heard the stories of the people who've supposedly 'cracked the code' only to crack the other way.

I'm talking about the man or woman who makes ten grand one month in sales, then the next month he does three grand, which is what he's accustomed to. And no matter what he seems to try, he can't hit that ten grand again.

Why? Self-image.

Or the woman who dropped 50 pounds - only to gain the 50 back, plus some.

Why? Self-image.

Or the person who desperately wants a better life; a better mate, a better car; a better home; a better job. Yet, he or she cannot seem to make themselves do what needs to be done to make good on their goals.

The positive affirmations don't work. The written goals don't work. The de-stressing meditations don't work.

And why? Because the self-image is still the same.

Your self-image is the governing control mechanism in your mind - and if you want to GROW - you've got to spend time on the INSIDE first.

The good news is this: In 21 days you can change your self-image about anything you want. You can change it easily; you can change it effortlessly. And once the change has taken place on the inside,
look out world ... because here YOU COME.

Imagine that you changed the furniture in your home. The next day when you walk indoors, you'll feel different, perhaps even a bit uncomfortable. And this scenario will repeat for 21 days. After 21 days, you'll feel that everything in your living room is as it should be.

Same thing goes with ANYTHING in your life.

Start today. Make a 21-day resolution to visualize the NEW YOU each and every day, without fail. After the first 21 days you will KNOW beyond a doubt that this works - so keep going.

Of course, if you want the advantage of being able to do this with expert precision, you'll want to take a look at Dr. Maxwell Maltz' Zero Resistance Living program.

How Music Affects You

Here's a little something from Tania French - whom I've told you about before. I think you'll find this entry of her's intriguing. - Matt Furey

I’ll always remember my dad saying that he loved listening to birdsong early in the morning. The singing centered him in a way that I didn’t understand at the time.

Now I know why he felt so refreshed.

Birdsong is a high frequency sound – around 5,000 hertz. Any sound between 5,000 and 8,000 hertz has been found to recharge our brain’s batteries.

You know what else is amazing?

5,000 hertz is also the frequency that energizes plants. In fact plants showed a 700 percent increase
in efficiency of absorbing nutrients when exposed to high frequency classical music. This frequency
actually helps the little pores on the plant's leaves called stomata to open up.

And who says nature doesn't have a plan. That’s why you'll find that in areas that don't have a lot of
birds singing, there's not a lot of plant growth either.

Lots of birds equals lots of plants. Few birdsongs means not a whole lot of greenery. Now I know why we moved from Los Angeles to Asheville, North Carolina – we wanted birds and trees in our life.

There’s tons more to report these amazing high frequency sounds. Meantime, listen for yourself to
the music that focuses your mind in no time.

Go read about The Secret Power of Words and Music 5 CD package.

Warm Regards,

Tania Gabrielle French

Make Friends With the 'Stranger Within'

Time and again we hear success teachers say that in order for you to have something, you must see it in your mind's eye first. And although this is helpful advice, it isn't the whole shebang.

Why?

Because your 'emotional state' is a far bigger indicator of whether you're on the right path or not.

Take money, for example. Ask someone if he can see himself doubling, tripling or 10x'ing the amount of money
he earns. Maybe he can see doubling it. Maybe he can see tripling it. Maybe even 10x'ing it.

But even if he can see the improvement, ask what his FEELING is about having it. Very often you will find that even if the person can visualize having it - he cannot FEEL himself having it.

Or, even more common, he may see himself with it, then immediately feel pangs of guilt, fear or anxiety about having it.

When you find someone who simultaneously envisions what he wants ... AND has a strong, powerful and positive feeling about having it, you're looking at a person who is destined for success.

On the other hand, if you're looking at someone who sees what he wants - but his feeling about having it is one of discomfort, he won't get what he wants.

Seeing what you want is great. Speaking about what you want is helpful. But until the FEELING of having the goal matches the desire you picture and talk about, you'll always fall short.

Match the vision with the feeling - and you'll know what having Zero Resistance is all about.

Dr. Maltz often referred to the 'Stranger Within' as this guiding feeling that tells us whether we're on target or not. If the 'Stranger Within' feels good when you visualize a goal, you know you can have it. If, however, the stranger feels uncomfortable, that's a different story.

The good news is that YOU are the person in charge of the 'Stranger Within.' You are the one who can change his emotional state to positive. It starts with a change in attitude - but the attitude is not enough. You must also change the way you see the 'face behind your face.'

Is the face behind your face smiling and happy - or filled with frustration and despair. Look in the mirror and see for yourself. Look not just at your outer face, but your inner one.

Regardless of whether or not your inner face is happy or sad, you can make a choice to improve it. If you're sad, flip your
internal switch to happy by thinking of the best moments of your life. And if you're already happy - make yourself even
happier. Afterall, there's no limit on the emotion. You can have as much as you want.

Best,
Matt Furey

Simple Law of Doing Business

Here's a business lesson I read in a magazine back in 1988, that I've never forgotten and have always done my best to model. It goes like this: If you take your vehicle in for repair in the morning and the mechanic tells you it'll be done by 5 PM - then calls at 3 PM to tell you he's already finished, you'll be ecstatic and think the world of the mechanic.

On the other hand, if the mechanic says it'll be done by noon - then doesn't bother to call in the late afternoon to tell you it's not done yet - and has no intention of finishing it that day, or the next, or the next - then you're pissed off and don't think too much of the promise you were given - or the person who made the promise.

It's a simple law of doing business. Under-promise - over-deliver.
