Matt Furey Wants YOU to Read His Uncensored Opinions |

Yesterday afternoon I took my parents and a couple
brothers to the beach. They wanted to see our new
beach condo ... and as the proud owner, I wanted to
show it to them.
While driving there, we started to discuss the best
restaurants in town, and I talked about the one I
had eaten at the night before - StoneWood Grille -
saying it was awesome.
In response, my mother chimed, 'But the food there
is very expensive.'
'Tis all a matter of perspective,' I said.
'That's true,' she replied.
After this little exchange, my brother Sean and I began
talking about words and phrases to be avoided - assuming
of course that you're interested in moving up in the world.
'I can't afford it,' said Sean. 'Those words are a curse.'
'You got that right,' I said. 'Reminds me of the 19-year
old I met last December. He wanted to enroll in my coaching
program, but didn't have the money. Yet, he didn't come up
to me and say, 'I can't afford it.' He simply said, 'I don't have
the money right now, but I'll have it by January 19.'
And he did.
After he paid me I asked how he came up with the dough.
He replied that he got an extra job and that he took out a
loan from his parents for the final portion he needed.
Smart kid. And as a result of my coaching he is now kicking
butt.
It's really a matter of choice. Anything you really, really want
to do, have or own, if you open your mind to the possibility
that you can and WILL attract the dough - and that you'll do
whatever it takes (legally of course) to get it - then you make
it happen.
Saying 'I can't afford it,' curses yourself. It limits you. It
removes the word POSSIBLE from your vocabulary.
It doesn't do anyting to improve your situation.
Yet, cracking open your skull to a world of new possibilities,
beginning to picture what you want and telling yourself you
are going to have it - that is the hallmark of the successful
monee-catcher.
Think about what you want right now, regardless of expense.
Tell yourself that you CAN have it. Then ask yourself 'how' and
the possibilities will begin spitting out of the old computer - also
known as - 'your subconscious mind.'

Ya know, about a year ago I see an advertisement
for this doctor's newsletter that says, 'Start Your Day
With a Cup of Coffee and a Cigarette.'
In terms of arresting attention, it's not bad ... but I dare say
that MY headline for today's email is a tad better.
And although I am not in agreement with a cup of
coffee and a cig for breakfast .. I am in favor a
six pack and a couple joints.
Let me explain - now that I have your attention in a
MachiaFurian** sort of way - the explanation you've been
waiting for:
When you train your abs first thing in the morning you
energize yourself for the day, you help your digestion,
you crank the voltage on your metabolism and ... in a
nutshell, you 'take charge' of your day.
The Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener and vacuum - as
taught in Combat Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html
accomplish all of the above - and they begin to do so in just
'five' seconds. Yes, you heard that right. In five seconds you
can begin to take charge of your life by tightening your
abs.
Both exercises listed above are just two of the daily abdominal
exercises that make up The Magnificent Seven in Combat Abs.
The other five exercises are really a series of extraordinary
stretches for the lower back and waistline that help eliminate
lower back pain while strengthening the 'core.' None of them
are difficult - but if you don't do them each day, or at least a
few times a week - your body becomes stiff and rigid. Not a
good thing.
But when you begin your day with the Magnificent Seven - you'll
feel so good afterward that you'll understand the meaning of
"a kick start for the day" ... with a healthy dose of morphine.
Yes, morphine.
Truth is your body is like a living, breathing warehouse of
pharmaceutical drugs, ready to be released at any time ... if ... you
simply get off your ass and ... do something.
No kidding.
You hear all this yapping about 'runner's high' and an 'aerobic
high.' Fiddlesticks. That high ain't nuthin compared to the high
you get from following the Magnificent Seven every morning.
And I should know because I'm high as a kite right now ...
naturally.
You, too, can feel as good as I do.
And you can feel this good every single day. But I understand
that some people would rather feel miserable - and I have no
objection if that is what someone wants. Tis not my job to
change someone's mind.
I only want to present my point of view.
In so doing, allow me to present a recent email I received that
I think you'll enjoy:
Dear Matt,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for the Royal Court of Combat
Condiitoning - http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html.
I had lifted weights regularly for the last 3 years and loved the benefits
in strength, health, etc. But, I hated how my back always hurt and
how all my muscles seemed 'tight'.
I have been doing the Royal Court for about 6 weeks, and I get as good
of a strength workout as when I used to lift weights, but I knock out my
workout in less time, and my body feels more flexible and loose.
My back hurts much less, and for the first time in 5 years I can actually
believe that I can eventually get to be pain free. I have never believed
I could be pain free in my back. Also, as for the Farmer Burns Stomach
Flattener, this might be the best exercise in the world. I think everyone
wants to shrink their gut, but they believe they must do a crapload of cardio
or starve themselves. I have been doing the stomach flattener for 7
days, and my pants are already starting to feel looser, without changing
my diet ... and it only takes a total of 3-5 minutes a day to do the stomach
flattener. AMAZING!!!
I have a question about the uphill sprints and the Hindu Squats. Do you believe
that these two exercises work all the muscles of the legs well enough by
themselves (for example, do they work your quads hard, but not hit your
hamstrings enough?). I want to make sure that I can do just these 2 exercises
a majority of the time and build strong, balanced, healthy legs, without having
to worry that my quads are getting too strong for my hamstrings.
Thanks so much,
Ranjay Atwal
M.F. Ranjay, first off, I'm thrilled to hear of your progress with both Combat
Conditioning and Combat Abs. Keep up the fine job you are doing. In regard
to your question, understand that in both Hindu Squats and uphill sprints you
are working the entire body as a system. You need not concern yourself with
every single itty bitty bodypart. I have never worried about working my
hamstrings since the day I learned these exercises, especially when you toss
in the Hindu Pushups, which work your legs as well as your upper body. If
you need further proof that your hamstrings are getting worked during the
Hindu Pushup, then put your feet together when you do them and push as
far back as possible on each rep. It will stretch your hamstrings, calves and
shoulders big time. In my opinion, that's plenty and you'll get stronger and
more flexible at the same time. All the best.
Well, my friend, that's all for today's tip.

Computer Butt Syndrome isn't the only thing you get
from sitting on your rumpus staring at the Internet all
day. There's something else you MUST be aware of, too.
Look at the following email and you'll see what I
mean - and how to fix it.
Hi Matt,
I'm a 21-year-old male in Toronto,Canada. I want to
thank you for your "Combat Conditioning" book.
About a month ago I found myself having "Computer Butt
Syndrome."
With a sense of vengence, I took out the book, read it over
and started doing 6 exercises including the three "Royal Court"
exercises.
In the past I always had some lightheaded feeling after doing the
back-bridging. I thought the exercise was not for me but somehow
I believed that it would be better if I keep doing it. And today I
noticed the lightheaded feeling is gone. I felt more energized after
doing back-bridging without being fatigued or dizzy. I also noticed
that the duration increased up to 1 min. When I started out I only
could do it for 20 seconds.
I have a simple question for you, I went to a Chinese doctor and she
told me the base of my spine is out of its place slightly and also told
me it's common among people who sit in front of a computer. I asked
her opinion about the back-bridging and hand-standing exercises. She
told me that those would be very good exercises for fixing my back
problem. Do you have any suggesion to maximize the results?
Lastly I want to thank you for helping me to feel better.
Hans
M.F. First, glad you're exposing the truth that Computer Butt
Syndrome is BOTH a male and female challenge. Even for a
youngin of 21. Second, I'm glad you stuck with the bridging.
The light-headed feeling is due to you FINALLY getting some
blood to your noggin. Much needed, I might add. Not just for
you - but for ME - and everyone else.
The only advice I have in addition to what the Chinese doctor
told you is, in the words of Emerson, "Do the thing and you
will have the power." Stop thinking about it. Stop looking for
advice on every little thing that you could figure out yourself
if you'd simply DO.
One final comment: In my library I have dozens of Chinese
fitness books - and a large percentage of them show bridging
as the key to eliminating neck and back pain and strengthening
the whole body. So it comes as no surprise that your Chinese
doctor was right on this one. And the good news is that a good
percentage of M.D.s, chiropractors, and other health pros are
touting the positive effects of bridging, too. So I think you're
in good hands, Hans.
Well, that's all for now.

Been debating on whether or not to tell you about a set
of secret manuals on the art and science of kicking rumpus
with Japanese Ju-Jutsu.
Truth is, I've wanted to keep my study of these materials secret
because I have been a wrestler for 35 years now, and giving credit
to Ju-Jutsu is no easy task for me - and no doubt, some wrestlers
are going to hate me for this.
But the truth is the truth and I'm going to do in NOW - today - because
these secret manuals really are sensational and there is a ton to learn
in them, not only for wrestlers, martial artists and fighters - but MOST
importantly, the average man or woman who wants to protect his life
and the life of those whom he LOVES.
Now, coming from me, a lifelong wrestler - as well as the King
of Catch Wrestling (Grappling, 2003), I am making a major
concension when I say that these manuals are incredible. But as
you know, Matt Fure-cat Furey is the definitive straight-shooter and
that ain't a gonna change.
The wrestling vs. Ju-Jitsu feud is a long and never-ending
one. Even Farmer Burns, whom I've introduced to you
before, was part of the feud as far back as 1914.
So, in saying these materials are 'must have' - I risk
not only my reputation - but the 'Farmer's' as well.
And I'm willing to do so because these training programs
from pre-WWI and WWII are the REAL DEAL. They'll give
you techniques that work to instantly stop any thug in his
tracks.
No sissy stuff. All blood n guts.

Think about this for a moment. How many ways can you come up with
to 'see yourself?'
Can you make yourself bigger, taller, smaller, lighter? Can you make
yourself heavier, softer, harder or more relaxed?
Can you make yourself smile, frown, laugh, cry?
Can you see yourself as a success in business; in relationships;
in school; as a speaker, writer, teacher, coach or mentor?
Can you see yourself traveling the world, living here and abroad?
Can you see yourself as young, vibrant and healthy, regardless of
your age?
The better you are at seeing yourself in different ways, the easier
it will be to 'zero in' on the way you really want to be.
Just remember to be willing to do whatever it takes to make things
happen in your life. Get the vision - then make it a reality.

Last night, before hitting the rack, I went through a simple
bridging routine. I alternated the back bridge and the front
bridge - with several details that I've never taught before.
I do this routine before bed for a couple reasons that I have
never written about before. And that includes what I wrote in
Combat Conditioning as well as Combat Abs, as well as Gama-Fitness,
- http://www.mattfurey.com/products.html
Anyway, the reasons why I bridge this way are as follows:
1. It puts me into a euphoric state - nice to feel that before bed,
don't you think
2. It energizes me - just not the type of energy that interferes with
sleep - more like the kind of energy where you KNOW your brain is
rejuvenated
3. It increases electrical charge and vibration throughout my entire
spine.
4. It makes me aware of energy at a more subtle level - this comes
in handy whether you're a competitive athlete or someone who deals
with people for a living.
5. It increases seksual energy. Now, no one is interested in THAT topic,
right.
6. It helps burn off belly fat as well as the turkey fat on your neck. If you
don't want a bunch of loose skin hanging from your neck as you age, then
be sure to bridge.
7. It increases feeling of groundedness.
Now, the above represent only seven reasons why the bridge is so great.
I've written about many others previously, such as elimination of back pain,
and so on. Yet, the key is in the doing of the bridge. Anyone can read about
it.
Reminds me of a saying I learned long ago, before people started calling me
the Zen Master.
It goes like this: 'The study of Zen is not Zen.'
So many people today are simply 'readers.' They read but don't do. Or they
go on discussion boards and rave about their knowledge. That's fine - but make
sure you DO first.
Afterall, 'the study of exercise is not exercise.'
Make sure you take time to bridge today.
And if you can't do the bridges in my book just yet, if they're too advanced for
you, then start with a light bridge over a Swiss ball. That'll get you headed in
the right direction.

Today I'm going to reveal even more reasons
why it's not a good idea to become part of the
sub-culture of bodybuilding.
Before I do, let me be perfectly clear about one
thing. I am NOT a bodybuilder - nor do I teach
bodybuilding exercises. Yes, the exercises I teach
can and do BUILD and improve your body - but they
are NOT bodybuilding from the standpoint I'll be
elaborating on today.
The exercises in Combat Conditioning and Combat
Abs - just two of my international best-sellers, are
fitness, conditioning and health exercises. They can
and do strengthen your arms, legs, chest, shoulders,
back, neck, abs and so on. They give you endurance
galore. They improve your flexibility. They greatly
improve your physical appearance.
But they are NOT designed with the primary intention
of making you look like you're fit, healthy and vibrantly
alive - when you're really not.
There you have it, my friend. The above paragraph gives
you the way most bodybuilders think - and the way they
want YOU to think.
They want you to be obsessed with every morsel of body
fat. They want you to count the number of veins you can
see when you flex. They want you to to have symmetry
and a host of other artsy-fartsy terms.
And they could care less about how strong you are, how
athletic you are, how healthy you are, how flexibile - nor
how intelligent.
Shave body. Apply lotion. Stand before mirror - primp and
preen.
Get into tanning bed.
Workout with weights that would embarrass a five-year old.
And when you train - remember, pump is more important than
function.
Build your muscles as big as you can - but never ask yourself
questions like: How strong am I, really. How much endurance do
I have. How flexible am I. And most importantly - what can I do
with this body I'm creating - other than pose and flex.
I am not embellishing the truth in the least when I tell you that there
are champion bodybuilders who cannot walk up a flight of stairs without
being out of gas.
One of my favorite eye-witness accounts was when I spoke to a
bodybuilder in a gym. He was pedaling an exercycle. It was a
computerized device made by a top company. Yet, the amazing
fact was the bodybuilder was pedaling without it being turned on.
I asked him what he was doing. I thought the machine might be
broken. But it wasn't. This was the man's "cardio workout."
"I burn more fat when I train this way," he said.
"Yeah, I'm SURRRRRRE you do," I replied. "You just better hope
that you never have to be fit enough to save your own life someday."
And therein lies another truism exposing the fallacy of bodybuilding.
These guys are not fit enough to save their own lives. They're not
fit enough to even fight. Yet they'll take enough roids that they can
growl and groan and scream as if they're tiger-claw tough.
Believe me, they aren't.
Most bodybuilders are massively insecure; have weak self-images -
and all you need do to make one upset is say, "My goodness, your
arms are looking a bit smaller. Are you okay."
Men who get fit the Combat Conditioning way love to compete against
bodybuilders in a functional way - especially in a combat sport or
martial art. When we do, we quickly discover what we already know:
All those big muscles, rips, cuts, nips, tucks and striations - they don't
amount to a hill of ... well, anything.
Despite the size, the striations and the low, low, low bodyfat - the truth is
that bodybuilder muscles are "counterfeit." They're the antithesis of
functional strength - of core strength.
All of the above represents reason after reason why you'll love Combat
Conditioning. You get fit in a natural way. You acquire strength, endurance
and flexibility that you can USE.
You don't need to shave your chest. You don't need a tanning bed or a
set of posing trunks.
Much of the time, you don't even need a mirror - even though from time to
time the mirror can and should be used as a training guide and measuring
stick - just not in the obsessive/compulsive way that bodybuilders use it.
Most importantly, with Combat Conditioning, you build the internal and
external strength and health that can save your own life. And along with
this comes confidence and courage.
So reach out and grab the authentic, the real, the genuine training that
truly DOES improve your life. And leave the counterfeit muscles to those
whose bodies gradually become so racked with pain that they can barely
move at all.
Take the next Combat Conditioning flight. Ride first class on your way to
real health and fitness.
Come fly with me - NOW - today.

I'd like to tell you about one of my heroes. And no,
it's not "the Donald."
A couple years ago I started receiving orders for
my fitness products and in the section where you
are asked, "How'd you hear about me" - an unusual
name kept creeping up.
Had no idea who the guy was. (Again, it's not "the Donald.")
About six months after repeatedly seeing his name,
the guy signed up to go to one of my seminars.
That was back in August of 2004.
I spoke to the guy briefly in between rounds. I thanked
him for all the business he referred to me. He smiled
humbly and asked me about my coaching program,
which he joined.
After he joined my program I learned more and more
about this man. First off, he became a millionaire in his
20's - something few people ever do, at any age.
Topping it off, in addition to what he does in the real
estate market, he also had a successful online business where
he teaches others how they can make their fortune, too. And he
has a ton of success stories.
I'm following what he teaches and I'm thrilled in doing so. So
much so that I call the guy "my hero."
In fact, I especially like how this guy likes to roar, "Hey Trump,
Your Secret is Out."
What secret is that.
Well, I suggest you take a peek at http://www.mattfurey.com/real_estate.html -
and see for yourself.

Beware the Preening Bodybuilder
Just returned from a few days in Pennsylvania, where
I was meeting with a friend and client.
One of the great things about Pennsylvania, when compared
to Florida - is the hills.
For one, they're wonderful to view. But of utmost importance
to me, the true beauty of hills is mining their gold - and the
best way to mine the gold from a hill is to walk it, run it and
sprint up it.
Walking, running and sprinting on hills is akin to taking a pan,
pick and shovel in search of gold - and discovering it within
minutes. Training on a hill is one of the fastest ways to get
your body into top physical condition - tis why I wrote about
it in Combat Conditioning - http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html -
as well as my very first book, The Martial Art of Wrestling.
While in Florida I have various ways of making up for lack of hills - and I
cover them from time to time in my Inner Circle newsletter and CD's.
Yet, nothing beats the smell of fresh air, pine and grass on a mountain.
My friend, believe it or don't, lives one block away from a three-block
stretch of progressively steeper hill country. Yet, he wasn't running or
walking it - until the Fure-cat arrived.
Within two hours of my plane landing, I had him on the hills. And the next
day we did some more.
15 minutes was all it took - and his legs and lungs were spanked. So were
mine.
At the completion of the last trip upward, he turned to me and said, "I live
right next to a gold mine and didn't even realize it."
I nodded - then told him 3x a week on the hills will whoop him into great
shape fast - especially when combined with Hindu Squats, Hindu Pushups
and bridging.
******
Speaking of Hindu Squats, the other day I received an email from a reader
who showed her chiropractor my book, then asked his opinion of Hindu
squats. He told her that this exercise would tear the ligaments in her knees.
She asked my opinion.
My opinion: Your chiropractor is an idiot. Get a new one.
*******
Another reader mentioned that he just got my book and DVDs and sometimes
he feels knee pain when doing Hindu Squats. What to do, he asked.
Answer: First, read the book. I cover the answer to this question quite thoroughly.
Second, in the rare situation that Hindu Squats are not appropriate for you, then
do the wall chair. Almost all knee pain when doing Hindu Squats is due to the tendons
and ligaments of the legs being weak - and until they catch up to the strength of the
muscles - which normally takes 4-6 weeks, there can be some knee pain. After
the 4-6 weeks, it is quite possible that you'll be like so many of the Furey Faithful
who discovered - voila - no more knee pain. And this was after suffering with bad
kness for ages.
********
Yet another reader wrote to tell me of a bodybuilder who was demonstrating Hindu
squats on video - and telling viewers that he uses them as a warmup because that's
all they are - a warmup exercise.
He sent me the video to look at. All I can say is, based on the way the bodybuilder
is doing what HE calls Hindu Squats - he's probably right. Thing is, if he did Hindu
squats correctly, he might change his mind. The guy does his Hindu Squats like
he's lifting weights. The best part is when he said, 'Now let me show you how to
do them fast." I wanted to fall out of my chair laughing, but that would have been
too much trouble.
On the Combat Conditioning DVDs you will see me crank out 100-straight Hindu
squats. I do them at the speed I normally do them when I train - which is some
what fast. It is normal for me to do 500 in less than 13 minutes.
The bodybuilder - well, if he did 500 in 40 minutes, it would be a miracle. No
wonder he thinks they're a warmup.
As Harvey MacKay would say, "Beware the naked man who offers you his
shirt." Or in this case, "Beware the preening, self-absorbed bodybuilder who
offers you his vanity."
Kick butt - take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. A set of my international best-selling book and DVDs on Combat Conditioning
is waiting for you in my office. It has your name on it. All you need do
is give the word by agreeing to change your life for the better by placing
your order - and we'll zip them right off to you. Run on over to
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html to order NOW.
Every year I am asked by people from all over
the world to come to their seminar or event as
a guest speaker.
And time after time I turn down virtually every
request. At this time in my life I prefer NOT to
travel here, there and everywhere in order to
speak. Even when doing so is guaranteed to make
me a pile of dough.
That's why all my seminars and coaching sessions
are in Tampa - where my wife and children are
closeby. In the past couple years I have only
agreed to two outside speaking engagements.
This year I am making only one exception to my
"Tampa-only" speaking schedule.
Back in January, Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer invited
me to speak at their November Summit - being held
in Atlanta, Georgia. I was at my vacation home in
China when the request came - and because of my
profound admiration and respect for both of these
men - I immediately agreed. Shortly thereafter I
was asked by a number of other groups to speak -
my answer was "no."
In fact, even those who call and/or email asking to
interview me for thier radio or tee-vee show - or
for a private teleseminar for their clients - are
quickly refused.
In the future I may change my ways and be more
open to outside engagements - but for now that's the
way I am: reclusive and private.
Now, what I have just stated is merely part of the
reason why it is a very, very, very big deal for
me to speak at this seminar in Atlanta.
The other part is the value of the life-transforming information
- and energy - I will give to all who attend this event - as well
as the number of other "heavyweight" speakers at the event.
I'm telling you right here and right now - this is a "must attend"
seminar.
You will be blown away with what I, alone, have to present. Not
to mention everyone else.
What I have to teach you will be something you will be talking
about for years to come. What I have to tell you WILL change
the course of your life forever.
When I CHOOSE to leave my abode to speak - I turn all the
faucets to full blast. I pull out all the stops. I leave nothing on
the table. I give you EVERYTHING I have - and then some.
And so - this is an event you must attend. I urge you to go to
http://www.dankennedyssl.com/mattfurey right NOW and
enroll in this event.
It will be a packed house. It will be the thrill of a lifetime.
I look forward to meeting you in person, shaking your hand and
hearing your story.

The Truth About Bodybuilding
You know how I'm all-time spoofing them thar
bodybuilders. Their greased up skin. Their shaved
bodies. Their habit of mirror-gazing for hours.
Their tanning booth skin. Not to mention having
big muscles they can't do anything with - except
primp, preen and pose.
And that's just the start. I could go on and on about
these grease monkeys. Every time I worked out with
one of them on the mat they got hurt so fast you'd
think someone shot them.
One time, back when I lived in San Jose, CA, I threw
a guy - and while he was in orbit - he screamed in
agony. He got hurt while flying through the air. He
was hurt before he felt the impact of hitting the mat.
Strange but true.
Just so you know, bodybuilders, by and large
hate my guts - mostly because I'm spilling the beans on
their ridiculous claims about being healthy while their
liver and other internal organs scream for mercy.
As well as all the injuries caused, not only to their
external body via isolation exercises, as well as the
bench press, deadlift, and so on - but the INTERNAL
problems they've caused with the rampant use and abuse
of steroids.
I believe they've ruined an entire generation
of athletes, getting them to pump iron instead of
using their own bodyweight to get stronger. And
they've done it all under the guise that pumping
weight will help 'prevent injuries.'
My arse.
Want to get hurt - then pump iron.
Want to get fit and recover from all the wounds
caused by weights, then do Combat Conditioning.
Anyway, enough of this Fure-cat's latest rant -
go read about the apology I received from a
body builder. You and I have helped pull another lost
soul away from the 'DARK SIDE' of fitness.
Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/bodybuilder_apologizes.html
and see what this former 'grease boy' had to say.
Kick butt-take names,

P.S. If you're a bodybuilder and are deeply offended by
today's insinuations, too bad. Me don't care. So there.
Reform your life NOW, Bubba. Dump the iron and come over
to the 'light.' Living on the DARK SIDE is no way to go through life.
Once again, go read what this midwestern boooooby-builder had to
say by going to http://www.mattfurey.com/bodybuilder_apologizes.html
Had a good question from a reader yesterday and I'm
going to cover it now.
Matt,
I have a question regarding Combat Conditioning in regards to
fat loss. We are always told that to burn fat you need cardio
and more importantly, you need cardio that maintains a steady
elevated heart rate for at least a half hour.
Now, it seems to me that a rank beginner to the CC routine who
isn't in the best of shape would probably have a 15-20, maybe
even 25 mintute routine. My question is, could one forego a
separate cardio routine and soley rely on CC for fat loss?
I ask because I don't own a bicycle, I don't have access to a pool,
and its currently too cold to be swimming in the ocean where I live
(NJ). My one option for cardio at the moment is either walking (which
I find boring), or jogging (which I love but which aggravates my shin
splints). So, I have a very vested interest in wondering whether or not
CC is not only viable for creating lean muscle, but also for far loss.
After all, it does no good to have lean muscles if you cant see them
underneath the blubber.
Thank you in advance for any insights or advice that you can give.
Sincerely,
Sadiqa Dickens
M.F. Sadiqa, so glad you asked these questions. To answer, let me begin
by talking about some of my relatives - those Fure-cats that come in various
shapes and sizes and generally live outdoors. Yes, I'm talking about cheetahs,
lions, tigers, panthers, leopards, and so on.
Last time I checked, all the cats listed above were in pretty fine shape. They
are fast as lightning. They are the world's greatest killing machines. They are
flexible, strong and powerful. And they don't do ANY LSD (long slow distance)
cardio.
On the other hand, our friendly antelope, does mucho cardio. He's also strong
and fast - and lean. Even so, I wouldn't bet on him surviving a cage match with any
of the cats mentioned earlier.
Other than hard sprints, climbing and stretching - cats don't do much to maintain
their lean, lithe physiques. In fact, they don't need to sprint very often to stay
lean and powerful. One good burst a day is usually enough.
There's something to learn from this, me thinks.
Yes, you can burn fat by doing long-distance cardio. But you can burn fat faster
with total body calisthenics, hill sprints, dynamic deep breathing, and so on.
Time and again members of the Furey Faithful report inches of blubber dropping
off their bodies - and this was from a few minutes a day of Combat Conditioning
and Combat Abs. Not the 20 to 25 minute routines you envisioned.
In the beginning, most beginners are unable to do more than 3 or 4 minutes of
my program. Most people, even those who can squats several hundred pounds,
cannot do more than 40 straight Hindu Squats. The same goes for Hindu Pushups.
Even seasoned exercise fanatics often stop at 25. As for the bridge, if you can hold
for a minute in the beginning, you're an exception to the rule.
What I have just outlined will take you approximately 3-4 minutes when you begin.
Once you get into great shape, the workout may go 20-30 minutes, or longer, if you
so desire. But make no mistake about this: It is NOT how LONG you train - it is WHAT
you do WHEN you train.
Give the Royal Court in Combat Conditioning and the Magnificent Seven in Combat
Abs a whirl - and you'll soon have the understanding of these truths. On the other
hand, if you sit on the couch or at the computer, considering, wondering and ponder-
ing, you'll gain nothing.
The rewards in life go to those who DO - not to those who speculate.
I suggest you get involved in the Matt Furey Inner Circle because all the books I've
just mentioned come free - and because each month you'll receive a newsletter and
CD that gives you a routine to follow as well as incredible hard-hitting advice that
will change your life for the better.

P.S. I should also mention that the Matt Furey Inner Circle also has an elite
Member's Only discussion board, wherein you can ask me and my illustrious
group of Furey Faithful as many questions as you want for an entire year.
This offer should not be overlooked. It is the best package I can give you.

perfect program NOW.
18 months ago I was working out in a little
grappling dojo in Delray Beach Florida.
Surrounding me on the mat were Michael
Masterson of Early to Rise fame -
http://www.earlytorise.com - as well as
Louis Hart and some other butt-kickers.
I was warming up in my usual way by
doing some Hindu Pushups and squats,
as well as a variety of joint rotations for
my knees, shoulders, lower back, elbows
and wrists.
Michael and the others were on the mat,
stretching their hamstrings.
As they sat doing their muscle-only stretches,
I fell back into a bridge. I softly landed on the
mat with my nose touching the surface, then I
rocked back and forth about 20 times.
I never gave what I was doing a second thought.
This is how I train all the time - and it's how I
loosen up before battle.
When I popped back to my feet without using my
hands for support - Michael and the others said,
if I remember it correctly, "How the hell .... Man,
if I tried to do something like that it would ...."
I smiled and told them that what I had just done
was no big deal - that there was a lot more where
this came from.
That was as far as my teaching of conditioning went
that day - or so I thought. The rest of the workout was
nothing but grappling.
But yesterday I found out that Michael has been training
with bodyweight exercises exclusively for the last year and
a half, using exercises he has learned from me, Dr. Al Sears,
Doc Darville - and so on.
Before starting on his routine of bodyweight exercises, he was
contemplating surgery for his shoulder, lower back and knees.
He was 53 at the time and - I guess you could say, falling apart.
But how could this be? He'd trained with weights for 30 years and
jogged for 20. He looked great on the outside. It was obvious he
was strong and had great endurance.
Yet, the price he paid to get strength and endurance was taking
a heavy toll and demanding huge sums of money to correct the
damage being done. Doesn't sound like a good way to train if
you ask me.
In Michael's own words from an email he sent yesterday, as a
result of changing from weights and jogging to bodyweight
exercises:
"My new routine has completely healed and rejuvenated me. I have
no back pain, no shoulder pain, no knee pain, and no foot pain. I can
do pull-ups and push-ups again. More importantly, I can wrestle without
any impediments, walk or run without pain, and play pretty much any
sport without fear of injury."
I don't know about YOU - but I am truly inspired by this. And I hope you
are, too. It goes to show that it is NOT too late for you to take charge of
your health. If you can still breathe - you can improve.
So get on the greatest exercise program ever - Combat Conditioning -
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html - and you'll never
look back.
Best,
Matt Furey
P.S. If you want to focus on flexibility for the time being, be sure to take
a gander at my Combat Stretching program. It rules, helping you double
your flexibility in record time - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_stretching.com
I was sitting in a coffee house a few years back,
talking to a successful entrepreneur.
He'd ordered himself a large coffee with a couple shots
of espresso.
'Man, you must be made of steel,' I remarked.
'Gotta have this in the morning to start my engine,' he
replied. 'The ole heart doesn't work without this stuff.'
At the time I thought what he said was pretty funny - and
in fact, still do.
But there is a better way to start your engine each day -
and it doesn't cost a dime. All you do is take in a few gulps
of fresh air, hold it for a spell - then 'spit out' the stale, dingy
air that's taking up space in your lungs.
Then you do what cats and dogs do. You put your palms on the
floor and stretch backward. In yoga they call this downward
dog.
Now, I'm not a yoga teacher - but I can tell you this - yoga
came from wrestling. This is a well established fact - you can
verify for yourself in books like, The Yoga Tradition of the
Mysore Palace. Not only that, if you pick up a book on
Iyengar Yoga - you'll see the man who founded this style
doing - bridging. Back bridge, front bridge, kickovers, and
so on. All of them are commonly practiced in wrestling.
This is not to put down yoga. I think it offers a great deal of
help to many people. But the truth is that a lot of what is
being taught about it in the U.S. is pretty lame.
About a year ago I was talking to a yoga teacher who really
admires my book and DVDs on Combat Conditioning -
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html
He told me how much he liked it. I said, 'Thank you.'
Then he said, 'Yes, all of those exercises come from yoga.'
The thought of throwing him down and breaking something
on him crossed my mind - but I restrained myself and did my
Zen Master mind exercises instead. It's a good thing I did so
because I learned a couple really good things from him. And
I wouldn't have learned anything at all if I got embroiled in a
spat over a historical issue. Bottom line for me is this: Even
if wrestling came first - who cares.
When I'm at my vacation home in China throughout the year,
I learn everything I can. I'm a virtual sponge for new information
on health, fitness, longevity - and so on. I keep an open mind.
Pretending to be a know-it-all my be a 'good story' in your own
mind - but it keeps you from growing; from becoming MORE than
you currently are.
For many people, allowing new information into their minds is a
frightening proposition. They want to appear as if they have the
whole world and everything in it figured out. But that's ignorant.
Let your guard down a bit. Let something new into your mind and
I'm betting you'll be much better for having done so.
Kick butt - take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. Speaking of new, the May editon of my Maximum Health &
Fitness newsletter and CD is a rump kicker. Want to know how you can
get it delivered to your door each month. You can find out how at

Think of all the things you do today that are
nothing more than habits.
Good or bad - you formed them through repetition
of thought - and repetition of deed.
The truth about the formation of habits is that they
start out as ideas - then you act upon them. And if
you act upon them everyday for 28 days - sometimes
less, the habit is locked in. Virtue or vice - the habit
has YOU - you don't have it.
The above is often more true of bad habits than good.
Bad habits are easy to form and hard to break. Good
habits on the other hand, take a little more guts to
form - but once again, when they're locked in you've
got something that is an automatic reflex.
Until ... you start hanging around with people who don't
have good habits - or you go on vacation - or you get sick
for a spell - and so on.
Bad habits are easy to keep because there are so many
people around you who have the same bad habits.
When it comes to good habits though, oftentimes you have
to search for others who can reinforce the good you're doing.
But even if you don't find many others who share your good habits
for exercise, proper nutrition, a positive mental attitude and
so on - this is not a problem so long as you stay focused through
constant reading, listening to audio programs, going to seminars,
etc.
I suggest you form one new positive habit at a time. Spend at least
28 straight days "hooking" yourself on this good habit. Then, once
it "has you" - think about adding something else that is good.
One of the great things about the Royal Court from Combat Conditioning
is that the exercise habit grabs you from the inside out. You can be done
with a bodyfat reducing, muscle-building workout in 15 minutes - 30 if you're
hard core. You feel so good doing these exercises that you want to do them
more often. They become a good habit quickly - and they give you the internal
strength to drop negative, destructive habits.
So make sure you do your Hindu Squats, Hindu Pushups and bridging today -
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html - as well as the Magnificent
7 from Combat Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html
These workouts constitute the very best habit-forming exercises on the planet.
Kick butt - take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. If you really want to reinforce the positive habit of exercise - be sure to
join the Matt Furey Inner Circle - where you're surrounded by the people and
information that will continually help you take charge of your life. You can read
all about it at http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html
In Psycho-Cybernetics, Dr. Maltz says
the greatest port in the world - the ultimate
goal, is 'peace of mind.'
Now, here's the ironic twist to the above.
You do not obtain peace of mind by sitting
at home alone, doing nothing.
You obtain peace of mind by being creatively
alive; by pursuing a worthy goal that benefits
yourself as well as others.
You obtain peace of mind by DOING something
good for yourself.
You obtain peace of mind by being involved.
And you obtain peace of mind by developing
your self-image and thereby your confidence,
to the level where you KNOW you can accomplish
whatever you set your mind on.
Each day YOU and I are given 1440 minutes. What
we do with those minutes determines our future as
well as how we feel in the present.
When we're creatively involved in stretching our minds
to become MORE than we currently are, we feel good
about ourselves.
Consider for a moment one thing you can do today to
move yourself toward a worthy goal. Then do it.
I can assure you, in the doing of that thing, your
attitude will be different. You'll feel different. Why.
Because you're creatively involved in doing something
good.
Now, to make life flow even more smoothly, always
take a few minutes to enter the Theatre of Your Mind.
Imagine the person you want to be. Remember that
in order for you to make lasting change, the person
you see on the inside must change first.
You have two sets of eyes. The ones you use to observe
who you are on the outside. And the set of eyes you use
to observe who you are on the inside.
Picture the new you each day and you will become the
new you.
For help in doing this, be sure to gift yourself with the Zero Resistance
Living program - http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html
Best,
Matt Furey
P.S. Did you know that the ONLY professional football team to go
undefeated (17-0) en route to winning Super Bowl VII, the 1972
Miami Dolphins, were heavily into Psycho-Cybernetics and the teachings
of Dr. Maxwell Maltz? Tis the same story with many of the greatest
athletes you've read about over the last 46 years.
Now, just think if the Dolphins had Dr. Maltz advanced course in Zero
Resistance Living. It boggles the mind because Psycho-Cybernetics
only told you 'what it is.' It didn't give you an in-depth 'how to do it.'
Zero Resistance Living goes overboard in giving you 'what to do.'
Be sure to get the program NOW by going to

In China they have a saying, 'Ren lao xian lao tui.'
This means, 'When a person gets old, the legs get
old first.'
When viewing the aging quarterback, boxer or hoops
shooter - we know this is true. For martial artists,
tis one of the reasons why so many after 40 turn
to the so-called 'internal' arts, such as tai chi chuan,
xingyi, bagua and so on. The aging athlete cannot
keep up with the heavy demands of the rigorous
art anymore.
People who regularly fly the friendly skies, especially
those loooonnngg flights, are becoming more and more
concerned with their legs going bad. We call it 'deep vein
thrombosis, aka DVT.
Poor blood circulation in the lower legs can lead to heart
attack and stroke. Not a good thing.
One of the good things about flying on Chinese airlines
is that via the television monitor, the passengers are
prompted to move and exercise. And the exercises they
give are excellent.
Walking is great for the legs. So is jumping. I recommend
you use a good rope your your jumping - those that Bobby
Hinds at LifelineUSA makes are best - http://www.lifelineusa.com
And of course the squatting in Combat Conditioning - that'll get
you in fine, fine shape.
Yet, nothing WAKES the legs up and super-charges them more than
the slapping, knocking and tapping movements we teach in the
Chinese Long Life System - http://www.chineseculturesecrets.com/long_life.html
Why is this.
Quite simply, these slaps and knocks immediately improve blood
circulation. And they increase chi flow along all the meridians in the
body.
The meridians in your body are like the lanes on a freeway. So long
as the traffic is moving, all is well. But ... if at any time the traffic
stalls, tempers flair, blood pressure rises and, in some cases, bullets
fly.
Imagine this same scenario in your own body. If you're tired, fatigued
or feeling less than extraordinarily magnificent, then the chi is not
flowing in your body as it should. Imagine what a profound change
will transpire when all circuits are on, when all the energy in your
body is flowing as it should.
Not only will your legs stay young, powerful, lean and flexible -
but if you travel via plane, you'll laugh when you hear talk about
deep vein thrombosis. The chances of those who practice the Chinese
Long Life System having this problem are slim and none and slim just
left town.
To recap, keep your legs young by walking, jumping and doing Hindu
squats. If you cannot do Hindu Squats, do the Wall Chair - or do the
1/4 squats shown in the Chinese Long-Life System.
Then make sure you learn all the slaps, knocks and so on that invigorate,
rejuvenate and recharge your body like nothing else in the world.
Oh, by the way, Gary, one of the Furey Faithful, wrote yesterday
to say that he recently went on a cruise in which many Chinese were on
board. Being he's a tai chi practitioner, he figured he'd get up early to
practice along with them. To his amazement, no one was practicing tai
chi. Instead .. they were doing these exercises that el Fure-Cat has been
raving about.
Imagine dhat. Once again, this Fure-cat is way ahead of all the other
wannabees on this here Internet. Just when the copykatsz think they've
caught up to me, I leap frog over them in a single bound.
There are a few reasons why this cat can leap-frog the others so quickly.
But the most important is that my legs are still young. Learn how I keep
'em that way by getting the Chinese Long-Life System.
We have approximately 70 more programs that we're going to let go
at the current amount. So JUMP in while the jumping is good. Go to

Here's something that may interest you also.
Back in 1992, I made a decision to attract the
woman of my dreams. I put it in writing and
started thinking about it.
Several months later I was on a plane, headed
for China - and that is where I met and married
my wife, Zhannie.
At the time there was no Internet - at least as far
as meeting women was concerned.
That is NOT the case today. And because of that
fact, finding your dream woman, your soul mate,
well - they're only about 1000% easier.
Let me give you an example: Even after Zhannie and
I married, it took 4 weeks for me to get a reply to a letter.
That's called international snail mail.
And my phone bill - you don't even want to know.
After we married and I was waiting for Zhannie to
emigrate (a process that took more than 10 months),
I would call once a week, or so.
Very few homes in China had phones back then. Less
than 10%. So I literally paid a $1.50 per minute to
to speak with her. Today, you can get calling cards
and speak for two cents or less per minute.
Thank God for the Internet. Things are so much simpler.
I know several people who've found the man or woman of their
dreams online - got married, and they're living the dream life.
Some met foreign women - most met someone living in the U.S.
Either way you slice it, though, the World Wide Web is far better
than going to night clubs, bars, and so on. You can get the low
down pretty fast online - with pictures, email exchanges and so
on.
One guy I know - his name is Chet Rowland - mastered the
'how to meet the woman of your dreams' method - and he's
created an amazing course/system that shows anyone else
how to follow his method and do likewise.
He sent his course to me for review recently - and it is absolutely
incredible.
I told Chet that I'd tell the single men on my list all about it because I
think it can literally make the work of finding their soul mate a helluva
lot easier.
So here tis, my friend. Run over to http://www.mattfurey.com/chets_system.html
and see how you can meet that one special person who will round you out, complete
you and give you the life that you truly desire.
Best,
Matt Furey
P.S. There are a lot of 'how to meet' women guys on the Internet. But this guy Chet,
he's the only one who has put together a proven system that works from the comfort
of your computer. You don't have to hit the bars, nightclubs or skanky pick-up joints.
You filter and find the woman of your dreams online, without all the game playing,
B.S. and hocus pocus. Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/chets_system.html and
see what I mean.
Yes, there is something you can do.
Wrist, elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome can all be eliminated within 30 days.
There is a simple, fast and immediately effective way that doesn't require medicine or surgery.
It's called How to Eliminate Carpal Tunnel Pain Within 30 Day - but it's not just for people
with 'carpal tunnel. It's also for anyone who wants a stronger, more powerful grip.
And it has helped a ton of people rid themselves of constant and nagging pain. Take the
following email we received as an example:
Dear Matt,
We have instituted your exercise program in all our manufacturing hotspot areas. We will begin the program at our second Sarasota facility next week. We have already had very positive feedback from individuals who have just tried the exercises. At Sun Hydraulics, our 2 biggest workers compensation issues are carpal tunnel and rotator cuff problems. My goal is to eliminate these surgeries. That would save us between $100,000 and $200,000 a year.
Greg Glass
Sun Hydraulics
Sarasota, FL
As a wrestling and martial arts champion; I suffered many wrist and elbow injuries.
I suffered through years of pain, and didn't know what to do.
Fortunately for me, I met a kung fu teacher in the United States who showed me
exercises that strengthen the ligaments, tendons, and muscles of the lower arm, and
do so without weights or machines. I used the exercises he taught me, and to my
amazement, I was pain free in a couple of days.
I began teaching the exercises to others, and they had their pain eliminated within
days, too. Thus the How to Eliminate Carpal Tunnel Pain Within 30 Days was born. You
can read all about the program at http://www.carpaltunnelfix.com was born.
Here's another email:
Matt,
Your carpal tunnel DVD fixed me in 2 days. Thank you.
Jacob S.
How to Eliminate Carpal Tunnel Pain Within 30 Days won't leave you feeling
helpless and weak, at the mercy of others who have no idea of how to help
you, other than surgery, or those silly braces.
Take charge of your own life, and don't let pain get you down. Rid your body
of it forever.
Kick butt...take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. Yet another example of PROOF:
Dear Matt,
Thank you for this excellent program. I am absolutely impressed. This DVD is a must for anyone wishing to overcome what was once thought to be chronic pain. My deepest gratitude goes to you for this excellent course because once you get the idea of how those principles work...you can apply them to any body part. Nothing I have studied on the subject even comes close to you DVD. Bravo!
Dr. Gabriele Ieromonaco
Simple, fast, and immediately effective. Order your copy NOW by going to -
http://www.carpaltunnelfix.com. Eliminate nagging pain without medicine or
surgery. Don't wait, you can be pain free...in days.
How do you eliminate fear? I can tell you in one
paragraph - but you'll probably forget - so let me
tell you a story.
There was a teenage boy who began selling life
insurance with his mother several decades back.
He was told by his mother to go into a building
and try to sell a policy to every single person
he met.
He was scared to do so. But he learned early on
to follow instructions - and he did so.
The first day out in the field he made two sales.
The second day four. The third day - six.
As he improved he began to note what he did to
succeed and what he did when he failed. He realized
that when he was afraid he hesitated and didn't give
it everything he had.
So he set out to conquer his fear. At first he tried to conquer
his fear through THINKING alone. This helped some -
but not enough. He then realized that if he moved forward,
greeted a prospect, puffed out his chest, spoke loudly, smiled
and so on - that something mysterious happened to the fear.
It disappeared.
Where'd it go. Don't know. But it's gone.
At that moment the young boy understood that fear is not
always subject to reason - but it always subject to action.
This young boy went on to become a billionaire. He also lived
to age 100 in very good health. His name, W. Clement Stone.
Now this story can become YOUR story.
Think of something you're afraid to do when it comes to health
and fitness.
Perhaps you're afraid to lose weight or get fit. Your mind has
reasoned, erroneously, all sorts of stupid scenarios. And you're
trying to reason with your mind to rid yourself of the fear.
Dumb idea.
Instead of trying to out-wit your fear - get off your ass and
DO SOMETHING.
Lead with your chest. Breathe deeply. Walk fast. Begin
talking with enthusiasm. Tell yourself, out loud, "Today I'm
going to get myself into better shape than I was in yesterday."
Get into position and knock out a set of Hindu Squats.
Then do a set of Hindu Pushups.
Then do some bridging.
Then do the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener.
Followed by the vaccuum.
Followed by the Power Wheel - http://www.mattfurey.com/powerwheel.html
Follow along with me on the Combat Conditioning DVDs each day, first thing -
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html - and the death of fear
is certain.
Remember, there are no rewards in life when you sit on the sidelines paralyzed
with fear.
Your ticket out of the paralysis is simple. Stand up. Stand tall. Breathe deep
and MOVE.
Once you've done this you'll understand that the story of the teenage salesman
can be applied to any fear you have.
Lose your fear and get fit fast.
Kick butt - take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. One more time: The emotion of fear is not always subject to reason - but it
is ALWAYS subject to forward movement. I'm talking about moving your body
through space and time. Do it and you'll know that this is true.
Was Vincent Van Gogh "too beautiful for this world?"
I don't think so.
He was someone who was functional when he painted -
but at no other time. He had no idea how to
sell his work. He had no idea how to get along with
people. His mind was filled with little more than negative
images, not only of himself, but of the world at large.
Salvador Dail, on the other hand, sold his paintings all
over the world WHILE he was living. He connected with
people while he was alive. He was engaging and alive in
virtually everything he did. When he spoke, people listened.
Dali was a good friend of Dr. Maxwell Maltz. He was also
a fan of Psycho-Cybernetics. So much so that he created
a painting for Dr. Maltz and gave it to him as a gift. This
same painting appears on the cover of The New Psycho-
Cybernetics - the revised edition featuring Dr. Maltz and
Dan Kennedy - available at amazon.com.
What did Dali understand that Van Gogh didn't?- not to
mention all the other starving artists out there.
First, Dali understood that starvation is not glamorous.
He understood that there is no such thing as being "too
beautiful for this world." You either get what you want
out of life or you don't.
Second, Dali understood that there are two orientations
toward life: One moves toward the sun - one toward
darkness. He understood that you can sail on a sea of
calm waters with a helmsman on board your vessel - or
you can choose a directionless life, floundering on a raging
sea of frustration and failure - with no helmsman in the
vessel.
Third, Dali understood that you can view yourself as
valuable and what you do as valuable. Or you can
view yourself as unimportant.
Fourth, Dali realized that you can see yourself as larger than
life - or you can see yourself as no larger than a small potato.
Last, Dali understood that it wasn't talent that caused success. He
realized it had far more to do with something called "self-image."
He understood that talent is everywhere - but most with talent have
negative images of the possibilities that life offers - if you'll open
yourself to them.
Dali became larger than life, WHILE on this earth - and afterward.
Dail's success began on the inside; he pictured more than what he
painted on a canvas. Dali's mind was filled with images of success -
so he moved toward those images and received them.
Van Gogh's mind was filled with the negative - and he got what he
thought about. It was only when his negative mind was removed
from the equation that his paintings sold. If he were still alive, he'd
still be starving because that's how he thought of himself.
Van Gogh got from life what he pictured - but didn't paint.
So did Dali.
In your own life you have a choice to make: To be like Dali - or
Van Gogh. One was a prosperous artist - the other starved. Both
had immense talent - but talent doesn't make for a successful life.
The key to greatness lies in the way that you think; the way you think
about your life and what you want from it.
Keep your mental pictures off the things you don't want - and make
sure you never add Van Gogh like negative emotion to the things you
don't want. Otherwise you're inviting failure - even tragedy.
Picture the good things you want with happy, outlandish, outrageous,
Dali-like emotion - then stand back and observe these things becoming
part of your reality.
Best,
Matt Furey

This morning someone asked me about 'fat burning'
supplements - and which I would recommend.
Answer: A daily dose of Combat Conditioning and
Combat Abs.
Now, when I say a daily dose of the Royal Court
(Hindu Pushups, Hindu Squats and bridging) and the
Magnificent Seven. I also mean that you flip to
the back of my book and follow the workouts.
Make sure you do some rope skipping regularly. The best
ropes for this exercise are available at http://www.lifelineusa.com.
Bobby 'Sugar' Hinds invented a special type of rope built for
speed and comfort - they're the only ones I recommend. Oh, and
by the way, I call him Mr. Hinds 'Sugar' because most people
don't know that he was a champion boxer in college - and he's
got the nose to prove it, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, after giving up the gloves Bobby later found himself getting
'soft' - so he took up L.S.D. (long slow distance) running. Then he
discovered that you could get the same benefits from 30 minutes of running
by doing only '10 minutes' of rope skipping. For busy guys like me, this
is a no-brainer. Drop the extra 20 minutes and master the rope.
What else.
Well, how bout those hill sprints I keep harping on. If you run
them 2 or 3 times per week, the fat will melt off you like sweat
dripping from a race horse. Then there's the 'Scab Run' - named after
Keith Mourlam, an All-American wrestler at Iowa. Run a sprint, do
pushups. Run another, do more pushups. Etc.
Then there's the Karl Gotch Bible workout. Get a deck of cards -
any deck'll do. Even the 'Deck of Weasels.' Flip a card, do pushups.
Flip another, do squats. See my book for details.
Yes, there are some supplements that help burn the fat - but
none works as effectively as Combat Conditioning combined with
the Combat Abs program.
Well, all for now.
Kick butt - take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. If you already have Combat Conditioning, go to
http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_fat_burning_diet.html to
get my food program.
P.P.S. If you don't have Combat Conditioning, quit
lolly-gagging around. Tis time for a change. Go to
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html and
start burning fat off your body like never before.
What do you say or think before you turn out the
lights?
If you're like most, you go to bed with the words "I'm
tired" on your lips.
I like to do something else instead. Before going to bed
I review the goals I want to achieve. I take a few moments
to picture what I want - and then, just before drifting off, I
tell myself, "Tommorow is going to be a great day and I'm
going to wake up feeling totally refreshed and energized."
If you've been reading my daily emails for a few years, you'll
note that this isn't the first time I've mentioned this practice.
Yet, we need reminders from time to time - sort of like my
daily reminders to do Hindu Squats, Hindu Pushups, bridging,
the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener, the vacuum - and so
on.
The key to learning - and the key to your growth as a person
is constant repetition of the basics. And just so you are not
mistaken, the basics are as follows:
1. Breathing
2. The Pictures we see in our Imagination
3. The Words we choose to shape our destiny
4. The Emotion we put into our mental images and words
5. The actions we take each day
6. The habits we form as a result of repetition
Now, just so you know, how you end your day - your final
thoughts, should be similar to how you start your day.
Your first and final thoughts are the bookends for your day.
You begin the day with a goal. You end the day thinking about
your goal.
In fact, during the day, it's also a good idea to eat, drink, think
and work on it.
Back during my college days, when I was sitting inside a boring
classroom - which was MOST of the time, I often had a notebook
out where I drew stick figure pictures of my goals - and rewrote
phrases like - "Matt Furey - National Champion."
These things became a reality for me.
Today, I still do these things - and I think it's no surprise that they
continue to work.
Why do they work? Good question.
To get your answer, it's best to do the exercises. Then you'll know.
But if you really want to know more - then I suggest you invest in my
Magnetic Mind Power program - http://www.mattfurey.com/magnetic_mind_power.html- or my Magnetic Millionaire program - http://www.mattfurey.com/magnetic_millionaire.html
Both of these extraordinary programs will change your life in ways you
may have thought impossible.
The other day I heard a quote from the late Bishop Sheen - it goes as follows:
"Believe the impossible and you can do the incredible."
I think that one should go on a 3x5 card that sits upon your desk. I have it
on mine. I read it first thing in the morning - and just before going to bed
at night. It's a great first and final thought for each day, don't you think.
My friend, that's all for now.
Kick butt - take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. And don't forget about the Matt Furey Inner Circle program - with the 7 gifts
and more - http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html
In a few seconds I'm going to tell you how to BANISH
computer butt syndrome, but first ...
Last year Lt. Col. Robert Schutz, currently stationed
in Iraq, pounded out 100,000 Hindu Squats.
He made no excuses. He didn't complain about the heat.
He didn't moan about not getting Starbucks coffee sent
to him free (the LAST thing our soldiers need anyway).
Lt. Col Schutz simply focused on a target - and hit it.
As a result many members of the Matt Furey Inner
Circle were so inspired that they chose to hit the same
goal THIS year.
Some members, however, needed a kick in the can,
so yesterday I further challenged them, telling them
it's NOT too late to start on this goal. You can start
today and hit 100,000 Hindu Squats for the year. You
can do it in a little over 7 months.
Several of the daredevils immediatedly accepted the
challenge and they're pushing each other on.
Tis yet another benefit of being a member of the
Matt Furey Inner Circle. The online camraderie
is contagious - and the monthly newsletter and CD
I send you - along with 7 gratis gifts that exceed the
fee for membership - will keep you inspired day after
day, month in-month out.
Not only that but by the end of this year, none of these
members will have Computer Butt Syndrome. It's impossible
when you do Hindu Squats.
Now, if 100,000 Hindu Squats is beyond your current
ability, then set a target to hit 10,000 - or 20,000 -
or choose to do 4,000 Hindu Pushups - or 5 hours
worth of bridging.
Or walk 500 miles.
It doesn't matter what the goal is - so long as you
choose one NOW - so long as it inspires you - and
so long as it helps you become MORE than you are
right now.
Face it, sitting on your ass before the computer all
day - that does little more than give you a HUGE
butt. Sitting on your rumpus watching hours of
tee-vee each day - what does that give you. An
even bigger ass.
The secret of fitness success is spelled GOYA. It
stands for Get Off Your Ass.
Don't add band-width to the Computer Butt Age.
Move, my friend. MOVE.
Start NOW by becoming a member of the Matt
Furey Inner Circle. It doesn't take much, except
your willingness to lift one butt cheek and pull

I never thought of it this way. But I got an email
from a customer who put it into words that are
picture perfect. Let's take a look:
Dear Mr. Furey,
I have followed your website and fitness tips for some time. I always
wanted to buy Combat Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html -
but something always came up. I always had an excuse.
1) I'm low on cash
2) I'll wait until my next payday
3) Next month I'll order it
And you know what happened. Nothing.
It was like every time I was set to buy one of your books I would sabotage
myself. It was like I feared improving, feared becoming something more,
feared greatness.
Then one day I had an epiphany. I finally realized that there was never
going to be a perfect time to act. I had to either bite the bullet or quit
pretending.
I bought your book Combat Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html -
and all I can say is:
Oh My God.
Every day I feel my midsection getting smaller. It's like having a
blacksmith inside your body, pounding out those imperfections
from the inside, making your midsection strong and hard.
For those people sitting on the fence (like me) content only to take
advice from the daily emails (and I love the emails) I would say this:
Suck it up and buy something - buy anything.
Start living or turn in your keys, anything else is just taking up space.
Sincerely,
Caleb

Last summer I grabbed a stockpile of books to read on our annual
voyage to China. One of them, BLINK, was so good, I've been telling
people about it ever since.
Incidentally, the author, Malcolm Gladwell, is the same guy who wrote
THE TIPPING POINT - another national best-seller.
So this book, BLINK, confirmed some things that I have been telling
people for the past 10 years - and it opened my eyes on a number
of other issues.
One of the things it confirmed was how someone of a high skill level
in martial arts, music, painting, and so on, can look at someone or
something, and INSTANTLY assess the skill level or value. I have often
told people that I can look across the room, see two people practicing or
competing, and immediately know if they're the real deal or not.
How do I know this? I can't really explain. It's just a guttural instinct that
comes after three plus decades in the trenches.
I also loved the book because of how it revealed the power of face reading.
In Chinese this is called Xiang Mian. I've looked into it for over a decade
and find it to be most fascinating - as well as highly accurate.
One of the biggest 'a-ha's' I got from BLINK, however, was how they have
scientifically proven that those who take a long time to make a decision,
usually make a WORSE decision than if they go with the gut feeling they
have from the get-go.
Back in 1991, I was made aware of a guy named Dan Kennedy, a master
marketer, copywriter and business coach. I read one of his books and got
great value. Then I talked to someone else about him, and he blasted him,
telling me he was no good, etc. etc. The person who told me this, now, was
a close relative, i.e. family member, so I took his comments seriously. Dumb
move. Very very dumb. I should have gone with my gut; with my instincts.
In 2001, some 10 years later, I hooked up with Kennedy via one of his seminars -
and do you know something. Halfway through the first day of the event I was kicking
myself for NOT getting involved with him 10 years earlier. My business soared to
record heights from what I learned - and part of what I learned I applied to the
Internet, with huge results.
Two years later, Kennedy hooked me up with Psycho-Cybernetics, which he owned
the rights to. I tell the story about the influence that Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psycho-
Cybernetics had on me at http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html - be
sure to check it out.
My point is simple: When I make my decisions quickly, I'm almost always right, just
as written about in BLINK. When I hem and haw and think, think, think - I'm not really
thinking at all. I'm preparing myself for what will probably be a dumb decision.
The message is clear: Learn to trust your internal instincts. Learn to believe in that
initial gut reaction or feeling you have about something. Chances are better than not
that what you think in a BLINK will be the right answer.
Best,
Matt Furey

Last fall, after launching my newest product, The
Chinese Long-Life System, several readers wrote to
ask what I think of tai chi and how the new program
compares to tai chi.
My answer is two or three-fold.
First of all, tai chi is a wonderful form of exercise. It benefits
virtually anyone who can practice it. Some forms are easier to
learn than others, but all are designed to arrive at the destination
of greater health.
In the 1990's I practiced and played around with several different
styles of tai chi. Chen thunder-style, Yang, Wu, Chang and Chen
(without the thunder).
I enjoyed all of them. Yet, I found Chen Thunder-style to suit me
best. The only drawback to it was the scarcity of teachers in the U.S.
for this particular style.
Second, I like tai chi because the philosophy of daily practice coincides
with my belief about exercise. You can and should do something everyday.
If your upper body is sore, go for a walk. If your legs and upper body are
sore, work on deep breathing exercises - or do the Farmer Burns Stomach
Flattener as taught in Combat Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html
Third and most unfortunately, tai chi takes a long time to learn. There are some
styles that are easier to learn than others, but to really experience the treasure-
trove of health benefits, you've got to devote a lot of time.
There are many people who have taken up the practice of tai chi at age 40, 50,
60 and so on. And they have benefitted enormously. Yet, they did what so many
people are unwiling to do. They practiced on a regular basis.
On the other hand, being so many people over the age of 40 are incredibly flabby,
inflexible and weak - tai chi is not the right program to begin with. These people are
far better off with walking, deep breathing and the plethora of energy building drills
in The Chinese Long-Life System - http://www.chineseculturesecrets.com/long_life.html
The Chinese Long-Life System is designed in such a way that the sedentary critter who
has spent a couple decades hibernating on the sofa, can get up and do it and feel the
benefits instantly.
You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to be strong. You don't even need much
endurance. All you need is the DESIRE to improve yourself just a little bit. Do a minute
of the exercises and you won't want to stop.
Moreover, those who practice tai chi, chi kung, kung fu or any other martial art - will
love The Chinese Long-Life System because of its ability to rejuvenate and revive your
body/mind after hard training. Not only that, but if you're a competitive animal, the
exercises are the PERFECT warm-up.
The same goes for those who do Combat Conditioning, lift weights, do tons of cardio, and
so on. You need a boost. And you need to take care of the inside of your body - not just
the outside.
I don't care how strong your muscles are or how much endurance they have. If your
internal organs begin to fail, you're in serious trouble.
This is the reason why The Chinese Long Life System is so incredibly powerful. By working
the pressure points and meridians of the body directly, you increase the flow of qi in the body,
which according to 5000 plus years of recorded Chinese history, increases your health and
helps you live a longer, more fulfilling life.
At any rate, we've got another 117 copies of The Chinese Long-Life System available at the
current price. After these are sold the amount will go up considerably. So be sure to get in
while the getting is really, really good. Go to http://www.chineseculturesecrets.com/long_life.html
and order NOW.
Kick butt - take names,
Matt Furey
P.S. On the following link you'll find a photo of me training in the system with an 90-year
old lady. These exercises kept her youthful and energetic - and made it easy for me to
teach her Combat Conditioning, which she picked up quickly. Now that's saying something,
don't you think. Go to http://www.chineseculturesecrets.com/long_life.html and place your
order NOW.
Time and again we hear success teachers say that
in order for you to have something, you must see it
in your mind's eye first. And although this is helpful
advice, it isn't the whole shebang.
Why.
Because your 'emotional state' is a far bigger indicator
of whether you're on the right path or not.
Take money, for example. Ask someone if he can see
himself doubling, tripling or 10x'ing the amount of money
he earns. Maybe he can see doubling it. Maybe he can
see tripling it. Maybe even 10x'ing it.
But even if he can see the improvement, ask what his FEELING
is about having it. Very often you will find that even if the person
can visualize having it - he cannot FEEL himself having it.
Or, even more common, he may see himself with it, then
immediately feel pangs of guilt, fear or anxiety about
having it.
When you find someone who simultaneously envisions what
he wants ... AND has a strong, powerful and positive feeling about
having it, you're looking at a person who is destined for success.
On the other hand, if you're looking at someone who sees what
he wants - but his feeling about having it is one of fear, worry,
discomfort and frustration, then he won't get what he wants until
he turns his servo-mechanism into what Dr. Maxwell Maltz called
your automatic success mechanism.
Seeing what you want is great. Speaking about what you want is
helpful. But until the FEELING of having the goal matches the desire
you picture and talk about, you'll always fall short.
Match the vision with the feeling - and you'll know what having
Zero Resistance is all about.
Best,
Matt Furey
P.S. In Zero Resistance Living you'll learn one strategy after
another that helps you match your emotional state to the desire
you are picturing. Go to http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.htmland order NOW.
Last night I told my son and daughter it was time to
go outside for exercise.
We often do a lap or two around the block - it's nearly a mile -
and the jaunt often includes a combination of sprints, backward
running, and so on.
Last night the kids were tired and didn't want to go.
So I tricked them into the workout by grabbing a couple Chinese
tai chi racquets and some balls that we could use along the way.
Suddenly exercise wasn't such a dreadful thing.
When we finished our lap we stopped in the street and played "catch
and fetch." The kids throw me the ball. I catch it. Then I throw it about 20
meters so they have to race each other to fetch it.
After awhile Frank decided he wanted to work on juggling a couple balls.
Being he's new to the practice, he kept dropping the ball. At first it was no
big deal to him, but after it happened about 21 times, he started to get
frustrated.
"I keep making mistakes," he complained.
"That's good," I replied.
"But I don't like to make mistakes," he said.
"I know," I said. "Making mistakes feels like it's a bad thing
when you're learning something new, but it's not. By the way,
did I ever tell you the story of Thomas Edison."
"No, who's that?"
"Well, Thomas Edison was the man who invented the light bulb.
100 years or so ago, we didn't have lights like we do today. But
this guy, Thomas Edison, he wanted to invent one so that we
could read at night."
"Yeah, and how'd he invent the light bulb?" Frank asked.
"By making mistakes," I replied. "In fact, did you know that he
made 10,000 mistakes when trying to invent the light bulb. He
tried 10,000 times and failed every time. But he eventually
succeeded because he didn't quit."
I paused for a moment, squatted so that I was eye-to-eye with
my son, then I continued. "You have only made 21 mistakes so
far in learning how to juggle. You've got a long way to go to reach
Thomas Edison. So I don't want to hear another complaint until
you've hit that number."
Frank got the message and started to practice again. Not a murmur
from him either.
I am always astounded when I see the number of people who, as
adults, whine and moan about how tough they have it. They begin
an exercise program and if they haven't lost all their flab in a few
days, they lose heart. Or they begin a weight loss regimen and if
they only lose a couple pounds the first week, they get depressed.
The easily discouraged need to remember that success is a journey.
You get where you want to go in life by practice; by practicing good
thoughts that lead to good habits. Problem with most people is that
they lack a success consciousness. Upon making their first mistake
they see failure.
But the success conscious person thinks and acts in a totally different
way.
Upon making a mistake, the success conscious person realizes he's one
mistake closer to figuring out the right way to do something; he's one
step closer t | |
