This Secret is HUGE

The other day I taught a couple of private clients the keys
to getting younger, leaner, stronger and more flexible by
not only doing the right exercises, but by eating the right
foods.

Now, just so you know, there are plenty of so-called "health
food fanatics" who cannot do the splits, bridge to their noses,
put chin to knee, touch the ole toes, and so on. So much for
their superior diet, eh?

Yet, there is a food you can eat - that even these health nuts
don't know about - and when you eat it you not only lose weight
while feeling like you're eating MORE - but you also get more
flexible.

There is nothing complicated or difficult about eating this food
either. It's easily found, abundant in nature and comes in many
shapes and varieties.

Many people have pulled out their wallets and coughed up $100.00 cash,
on the spot, to learn the secret from me in person. And it was money well
spent. In fact, I say it was invested because the amount put forth gave
results that staggered the imagination.

I'll never forget the man who, thinking he knew the secret, came up to me
and said, 'I know what it is. All you do is eat five or six small meals per
day instead of three.'

I smiled and told him that this was NOT the secret. He was crushed, for
a moment, then he wised up and enrolled in the Matt Furey Inner Circle.

Truth is, it's not about eating more meals or less meals. Nope, this secret
is even easier than that.

In fact, the greatness of this secret is that you really DO get to eat MORE
than you are currently eating.

What's more - you only need to make ONE change in your eating habits.
Just ONE. Not a complete overhaul.

And if you listen to what I am going to reveal - and 'do
the thing' I'm recommending, you are going to be
absolutely stunned when you look in the mirror each
day.

Old clothes that you haven't been able to wear in years
will suddenly slide onto your body like they once did.

People on the street are going to approach and ask what
you're doing to have dropped so much weight. Double-takes
will be the order of the day.

Now, if you're uncomfortable with dropping all the excess
flabbage, if you'd rather not be bothered by people complimenting
you, then - hey, no argument from me.

Maybe you're not motivated by an improved appearance. Maybe
you'd rather have me scare the hell out of you, telling you that
failure to follow my suggestions may result in a heart attack, or
cancer - or some such disease.

But I won't do that because I cannot prove such assertions. However,
I can tell you that those who follow my suggestion, this ONE suggestion,
will greatly reduce the chances of heart attack, stroke, cancer and so
on. I'm talking about a DRAMATIC reduction in your chances for any
of the above.

So make sure you enroll as a member of the Matt Furey Inner Circle
right now so you can discover my "Eat More - Weigh Less" secret. Once
you're put on board the MFIC, you'll be able to read about the secret and
start using it immediately. At present we can only accept another
118 new members. Make sure you're one of them. Enroll NOW.

Two ways to get the job done:

1. Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html and
enroll as an annual member.

or

2. Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/fg324trfsr3ttai.html and sign
on as a monthly test-drive member.

That's it, my friend.

Kick butt - take names,

The Power of Making Mistakes

If you're afraid to make a mistake - you're interferring
with the very process that makes you successful. This is
a tough lesson for so many people to learn. Mistakes are
not the end of the world; they're your ticket to a whole new
existence.

This evening I sat in the sauna with my son, Frank, talking
about what it takes to get good at anything. He's only six,
but he's primed and ready for knowledge on how to build
a powerful self-image.

"Could you tell me about something you didn't used to be able
to do?" I asked. "Something that used to be hard for you but now
it's easy."

"Throwing a football," he immediately said.

"Okay, what else?"

"Catching a football."

"And ...?"

"Punching and kicking."

"Okay, great. Can you think of anything else?"

"Hmmm, I guess writing."

"Any idea how many things you've forgotten? How about
learning to roll over, to crawl, to stand, to walk, to run, to
get dressed, to feed yourself, and so on."

Frank's eyes went wide with wonder.

"All of these things were once very difficult for you. You
struggled with them. You made a ton of mistakes. Yet now
you can do them a lot, lot easier, right?"

"Right."

"Do you know what this means?" I asked. "It means that anything
you want to learn, the same rules will apply. At first you'll make
mistakes. You'll struggle. Then you'll make fewer mistakes because
the mistakes are teaching you WHAT to do. Then, if you pay attention
like you have so far, you'll be able to do the new thing, too. It's as
simple as that. But if you whine and complain and cry about your mistakes,
you'll never get anywhere. You'll think poorly about yourself and you'll get
results that don't make you happy."

I talked with Frank for 15 minutes about the value mistakes have in life -
and I'll be reinforcing this talk over and over again.

Of course, this is only a lesson for six-year old kids. I don't know of a single
adult who could benefit from this knowledge.

HA.

All of us can.

Don't fear mistakes. Use them as the corrective feedback they truly are. Mistakes
lead to greatness - but only if you stop judging them as bad.

When you're a member of the Psycho-Cybernetics Success Group you'll not only
learn how to overcome negative feelings about mistakes, you'll remove all the
residue and hurt feelings you might have about failing at something. Failure, like
mistakes is NOT what you think it is.

Blood n Guts Ju-Jutsu

Been debating on whether or not to tell you about a set
of secret manuals on the art and science of kicking rumpus
with Japanese Ju-Jutsu.

Truth is, I've wanted to keep my study of these materials secret
because I have been a wrestler for 35 years now, and giving credit
to Ju-Jutsu is no easy task for me - and no doubt, some wrestlers
are going to hate me for this.

But the truth is the truth and I'm going to do in NOW - today - because
these secret manuals really are sensational and there is a ton to learn
in them, not only for wrestlers, martial artists and fighters - but MOST
importantly, the average man or woman who wants to protect his life
and the life of those whom he LOVES.

Now, coming from me, a lifelong wrestler - as well as the King
of Catch Wrestling (Grappling, 2003), I am making a major
concension when I say that these manuals are incredible. But as
you know, Matt Fure-cat Furey is the definitive straight-shooter and
that ain't a gonna change.

The wrestling vs. Ju-Jitsu feud is a long and never-ending
one. Even Farmer Burns, whom I've introduced to you
before, was part of the feud as far back as 1914.

So, in saying these materials are 'must have' - I risk
not only my reputation - but the 'Farmer's' as well.

And I'm willing to do so because these training programs
from pre-WWI and WWII are the REAL DEAL. They'll give
you techniques that work to instantly stop any thug in his
tracks.

No sissy stuff. All blood n guts.

Check it out NOW by going to http://www.mattfurey.com/lightning_ju-jitsu.html

Best,

Matt Furey

P.S. Did you know that Prez Teddy Roosevelt practiced Ju-Jitsu in the
White House. Well, the page I'm sending you to has information on him
too - and it is absoulte MUST reading -http://www.mattfurey.com/lightning_ju-jitsu.html

Get Fit One Minute at a Time

Patience is a virtue. So is speed. And in
our fast-paced world it is so easy to say
'I don't have time' instead of 'I'll make time.'

But making time for exercise is hard when you have an
internal conflict.

What is that internal conflict? It's two competing thoughts,
'Yes, I'd like to exercise' but ... 'I don't have time for
exercise.'

Well, I have a quick and easy cure for this type of thinking,
and lest you think it's a boot to the arse - or the head - you'd
be wrong.

All I do is try to get people to live life in the smallest chunks
they can.

Let me explain: I hate flying. Yet, I go on some extremely long
flights. Los Angeles to Shanghai is one of them, and that puppy is
13 hours.

For a man who likes everything 'now' - for a man who is not
what I'd call patient - that's a long flight. So how do I stay sane
on the flight?

Very simple. Whenever the issue of time comes up, I ignore it -
or I focus on living 'one minute at a time.' Not one day. Not one
hour. One minute.

'Can I get through one minute of flying?' I ask myself.

'Yes, I can do that.'

'Good, then let's focus on that one minute, right now - not the other
12 hours and 59 minutes that haven't come yet.'

This same way of thinking works great for exercise, too.

Get up in the morning. Think about exercising. When you do so,
if you feel resistance, tell yourself, 'Let's just do one minute of
wall chair. Can you do that?'

[ The wall chair is on pages 42-43 in Combat Conditioning -
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html ]

'Yes.'

After that, ask yourself if you'd like to do one minute of pushups -
or just one minute holding the pushup position. Or one minute
of bridging. Or one minute of deep breathing.

And if a minute is too long for you - how about 5 seconds with the
Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener. My goodness, everyone has 5
seconds, right?

Now what if you did 10 reps of the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener?

That would be how long? About a minute.

Can you dramatically affect change in your body in one minute?

The answer is: Hell yeah.

And the good news is that when you can conquer one minute - and you
enjoy that minute, you'll want to go for a second and a third minute -
and so on. Yet the desire for you to do more comes organically.

No pushing, prodding or flogging yourself to be motivated.

Use this method and I assure you that you'll be kicking butt in no time
flat.

Well, that's all for now.

Kick butt - take names!

Matt Furey

P.S. For more information on The Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener go to

can dramatically change your waistline.

How to Increase Energy Fast

Ever wonder why some people are full of life - filled
with so much energy while others dawdle through the day
on UNDER-drive?

One of the BIGGEST reasons has to do with your goals,
desires and ambitions.

If you have no goals - if you wake up each day and have
no idea what you want to do - your energy level will be low. You
can meditate, levitate and prognosticate - but your energy will
still be low.

On the other hand, if when you wake up you have BIG goals, big
plans and something exciting to do - your energy level will be SKY
HIGH.

Your brain is organized in such a way that it wants and needs concrete,
specific goals to work toward. And if you don't give your brain something
to work toward, by default it chooses a path to failure - and you start
moving in that direction. Low energy is an indicator that you are going
the wrong way.

When you have big goals, the Servo Mechanism within your brain sends
a message to the Universe. "Hey, Rambo here has some big goals. Give
him MORE energy otherwise he's not going to make it."

When you have no goals or goals that aren't challenging - there's no need
for more energy. You can make it on low grade fuel.

Take some time each day to breathe deeply and recall previous
successes. Doing this helps you begin to fill your tank with Success
Fuel. You start to feel fantastic, to vibrate at a higher level. Then when
you add your goals into the equation, explosions begin to take place
inside your brain.

Fire works go off. You come ALIVE - and others around you pick up on this.

You begin to move through your day without resistance - with Zero Resistance.

Meanwhile, those without goals go through the day with sand paper rubbing against
their skin. They get burned over and over all day long - to the point that getting
burned feels normal.

It's not.

So remove the sand paper from your life. Remove the resistance. Add some
goals and you'll receive a gust of wind that will easily steer your ship to port.

Best,

Matt Furey

resistance, be sure to look into Zero Resistance Living - the advanced course in

For the First Time in My Life ...

"My whole life I never felt good about myself. I
never had any confidence. All that changed the day
I met Matt Furey. For the first time in my life I feel
connected and whole."

The words listed above were spoken by an attendee of
the Psycho-Cybernetics Doers Group - at the conclusion
of our first LIVE meeting this past Sunday.

Although these words brought tears to my eyes, as well
as to all sitting in attendance - and although I was deeply
moved, I also know that the change this person experienced
is more the result of his willingness to grow than anything
else.

This person wanted to change. He wanted to feel good about
himself. He wanted to succeed. His finding of me and studying with
me was simply the push he needed to make things happen for
himself. And so, although he gives me the credit - I, in turn, give
him the credit.

Why? Because there are others who have heard the same message
come from my lips - and instead of opening to it and making a change
for the better, they rejected it.

Those who don't reject the message - well, in a very real sense, they
are made WHOLE again. Psycho-Cybernetics, when you really learn it,
is not just reading off a menu. It's tasting the food.

Psycho-Cybernetics is not a collection of techniques designed to eliminate
smoking, nail biting, bed wetting and phobias. Instead, it's a magic scalpel
used to remove internal scars, to take out tumors of despair, fear, frustration
and self-doubt.

Of all the things I teach, there is nothing that means more to me or that I want
to put into people hands and hearts MORE than Psycho-Cybernetics. That is why,
beginning this year, you will see a resurgence of these teachings via new products,
seminars and coaching.

In a few days I'll be making an announcement about a teleseminar I'd like you to
participate in. Stay tuned.

In the interim, I highly suggest you become a member of the Psycho-Cybernetics
Success Group - http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/success_group.html

It IS the very best personal empowerment program on the planet. It WILL change
your life for the better.

85 Percent Constipated

Time to talk about being pooped in rather than pooped out.
Time to talk about the constipation crisis going on around the
world - but especially in the western world, wherein at least
85% of everyone you meet does NOT regularly move his or
her bowels.

Many people go for days without a B.M. Others eat three to five -
or more - meals per day, only to move the bowels once.

These people are pooped in as well as pooped out.

They have no energy because their body is clogged, plugged,
bloated and bulging.

The stomach is distended. Oftentimes you'll see the buttocks pushing
through the front of the pants. You'll see the crack of the ole arse peering
at you when your plumbing is being fixed. Not a pretty site.

Con-sti-pa-tion - reminds me of the hit song "An-ti-ci-pa-aaa-tion ... is making me
wait."

Daily, people gorge their bodies with Metamucil, Psyllium husk powder, Exlax and
who knows whatever else, all designed for relief.

Yet, the best way to insure proper daily movement of the bowels is to make sure
you EAT foods with high water and high fiber content. That would be fruits and
vegetables, my friend. And, along with that piece of wisdom - you are well-advised
by the Furey Faithful to make sure you get a copy of Combat Abs and do the Farmer
Burns Stomach Flattener every morning before breakfast.

The Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener IS the ultimate anti-constipation exercise on the
planet. There is nothing that compares. There is nothing as effective. In fact, if you do
this simple exercise each morning, you won't need all those over-the-counter concoctions,
herbs - and so on.

The Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener does FAR more than help rid your waistline of excess
flab. It also ensures that you are neither pooped out - or pooped in.

I'm willing to give you a copy of Combat Abs for nothing so you can learn to do the FBSF
each morning. Just become a member of the Matt Furey Inner Circle - as a test drive member
or as an annual member and the book is yours.

Normally we only give you Combat Conditioning when you're a test-drive member, but for
the next 239 people, I'm going to change that. If you become an MFIC member today,
I'll give you both Combat Conditioning and Combat Abs for nuttin.

Now that's pretty doggone fair, don't cha think.

So go to http://www.mattfurey.com/inner_circle.html and climb aboard.

No Tee-Vee Before Exercise

Late last summer I implemented a rule in our
home that may sound strange.

I noticed that my 2-year old daughter, Faith, was
in the habit of turning on the tee-vee when she got up
each day.

Being that there are a lot of programs for kids today that
enhance her bilingual upbringing, I don't see the
tee-vee as 100 percent bad.

But going without exercise, especially when you're young and
have ALL the time in the world, that is not a good habit. So I
implemented a rule: No Tee-Vee Before Exercise.

No Dora. No Sponge Bob. No Bob the Builder.

Exercise comes first. And for Faith, the exercise I want to see is
a minimum 1-mile walk.

At first she didn't like it. She'd cry, moan, groan and complain. But
after three weeks of daily walking, she was finished with the negative.
Not only did she want to go for a walk - but she preferred to run the
course instead of walking.

This morning when she got up it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It was also
pouring down rain. Faith's grandparents told her to stay in today; told her
no exercise - then listed the reasons. Too cold. It's raining.

Faith would NOT be deterred. She demanded time in the great outdoors
and she would not listen to any excuses made by adults.

She got her way. Grandma dressed her in a warm winter coat and put a
hat upon her head. Next thing you know they were running around the
block, same as usual.

Without realizing what has happened, my daughter is under the spell of
"Cosmic Habit Force." When you do something everyday, you WANT to
do it everyday. In fact, if deprived of being able to "do the thing" - it's
as if every cell in your body rebels.

At first she rebelled against the idea of exercise before tee-vee. Now she
won't have it any other way. Rain, sleet or shine - she wants to move.
This is the way the human being was created to be. We weren't created in
order to spend all day before the tee-vee, the computer or the i-pod.

We feel best when our bodies have the exercise habit. The connection
we make when we train permeates our mind and body. It centers us,
relaxes us and makes us realize that YES, we were given a body to USE,
not just to take up space.

Use your body today. Get up and move. Get out and move. Make no excuses.
Don't tell me you're too old. Don't tell me you're too heavy or that it's been too
long a time. MOVE. Do something and you'll feel better afterward.

To get started on the right road to lifelong health and happiness, be sure to
get my international best-seller, Combat Conditioning. You can go to
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html and order now.

Or you can get it gratis as part of the Matt Furey Inner Circle - along with a
bundle of other gifts. You'll see what I mean when you explore your options

How to Win All the Time

What I am about to tell you has nothing to do with fitness
or health. It does, however, have something to do with making
a fortune in real estate - regardless of the economy. If you're not
interested in real estate, or investing, then read no further. This
message ain't for you.

Now, just so you know, I do have more than one track in my mind.
I am interested in many, many things. And I like to win at everything
I do. I play every game I am in for one reason: to win.

This is especially true with real estate and investing.

Some ridiculuous idiots will no doubt read this and write me to say,
"Stick with what you know, Furey. You're losing credibility."

Funny, isn't it, how some narrow-minded low-brows think ALL I know
is health and fitness. Fact is I have great expertise in many, many
things. And in those that I am NOT the expert, I am a damn good
listener, if the subject is of interest to me.

Well, when it comes to real estate, I have a number of advisors.

I take everything in that I am told and then I make a decision based
on what I learn. I then keep track of what works and what doesn't.
I keep doing what works and stop doing what doesn't. This is the
same formula I follow with anything I get involved in.

Last night I met with my number one advisor: real estate mogul and
fortune teller, Lou Vukas, to discuss a plan of action for 2007. Lou has
NEVER steered me wrong. Not once. Not even close. Everything he has
ever told me to do works.

And because so many people are worried about whether or not NOW is
a good time to WIN in real estate - I asked Lou some very tough
questions last night. In reply he told me about his real estate partner
who has NEVER lost a single red cent in 26 years. Well, I'm no dummy -
when I hear banter like this, I sit up and pay attention. Especially when Lou
and his partner are guaranteeing they can make me and YOU some major
buckolas. In fact, they're saying they will make me $190K worth of green backs
in a very short period of time. Yippee. That's a handsome profit, don't you think?

What's more, Lou and his partner guarantee his method can be used ....

Without risking a cent...

Without learning a thing...

Fully Guaranteed in writing!

If you don't like talk like this, no problemas.

But if you'd like to take a step forward and investigate further,
then I suggest you do so by going to
http://www.millionaireviphotlist.com/lousinvite.htm

Cheers to your success.

I'm in.

5 Second Abs for Dinner

So there you are, sitting at a table, waiting
for your food to arrive. Whether you're
following an 'el stricto' diet or preparing
yourself for a splurge - it's never a bad idea
to do a few repetitions of the Farmer Burns
Stomach Flattener.

This afternoon, when I was having dinner (that's
what we called lunch when I was growing up in Iowa -
the evening meal was called supper, a term I don't
use no mo') at Xiao Zhu Luo, a Szechuan style
restaurant here in Haikou, on China's Hainan Island, I
did a few reps - and the good news is, no one in the
joint had a clue.

That's the beauty of this whole 'five second abs' deal.
You can train your abs virtually anytime and anywhere,
and 'no one has to know.' But lie on your back and start
doing a set of 100 crunches, leg lifts, situps and so on -
and anyone who is in the room knows what you're trying
to do.

As an aside, yesterday Carol (the head honcho in charge of
fulfillment for all my products), forwarded me an email from
a man who does the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener whilst
holding the wall chair position taught in Combat Conditioning -
http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html - and I
think the dude is right on the money.

Another 'hidden' benefit of training your abs the way I teach in
Combat Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html - is
greatly improved digestion. Anyone who travels often knows how
a simple change in food, time, weather, work hours, and so on -
can put your digestive system in disorder. But when you do the
Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener - that's not a problem.

When you take the deep breathing aspect of this exercise and combine
it with abdominal flexing, you're simultaneously giving your intestines
the 'plunger' treatment. Believe me now and listen to me later, doing the
Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener is sort of like getting a healthy
dose of 'cosmic fiber.' Do a set before breakfast in the morning, and
before dinner (lunch, supper, snacks, mid-time meals, etc.) and you
will experience the flow in more ways than one.

Well, it's now 9 P.M. here in China, and my stomach is telling me to
feed it. So I'm going to sign off now. But before I do, remember this:
The more awareness you bring to your abdominals and midsection
throughout the day, the faster your results. And really, how hard is
it to bring awareness to a body part in five-second increments.

Kick butt - take names!

Matt Furey

P.S. Last call for my "Secret of Secrets" Ftiness Seminar. It's next week.
Only a couple seats remain. This may be the LAST fitness seminar I ever
do - so go to http://www.mattfurey.com/007_fitness_bootcamp.html

Five Second Abs in the Bedroom

{Note: This is an email I wrote a couple years ago
that is still timely, as well as true. Enjoy.}

After a 13-hour flight to Shanghai two days ago, I was
in need of a good rest. But I stayed up til midnight anyway.
Tis a better way of ending jet lag.

Upon awakening in the morning, I didn't feel like getting
up right away. You probably know the feeling.

So what did I do instead of getting up? I laid in bed and
did my deep breathing exercises as well as the Farmer
Burns Stomach Flattener. Believe me, the exercise works
just as well lying in bed as it does standing or sitting. But
before today, I didn't know that.

After a few rounds of breathing and squeezing for five
seconds, I was fully energized and ready to plant my
feet on the carpet.

Not only that, but I'd earned my breakfast. Tis always
a great thing to do the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener
and other waist flattening deep breathing exercises
first thing in the morning. They not only energize you,
they tighten and tone the entire midsection, ramp up
metabolism and improve digestion. And that's just the
beginning of the many benefits of this Five Second
Abs approach.

Want to know more? Then be sure to go to my Combat
Abs page at http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html and
my Farmer Burns 1914 by-mail course page at
http://www.mattfurey.com/farmerburns.html and order each.

I'll be back tomorrow with a report from my vacation
home on Hainan Island.

Success Isn't What You Think

We often think of success as winning the big game,
getting the promotion, making a ton of money, and
so on.

Yet, success is much more than winning.

Success is about rising above mistakes, failures, hardships,
heart aches, setbacks and pain.

Success is about pursuing what truly matters to you when
others think you're a fool.

Success is about staying the course and coming out on top
AFTER others have doubted you, told you that you cannot
make it, that you'll never succeed.

Success is about raising the volume of the Inner Voice that
believes in you and knows you can win - and lowering the
volume on the "no can do" voice that only knows failure.

Success is about creating a bright vision that places your heart
in flames of fire. Success is about feeling, deep down in your gut
that you are on the right course - even if it is difficult. It is
about sticking with your objective even when times are tough.

Success is about moving away from a zone of comfort and into
a zone where time doesn't exist.

Success is more about the journey of becoming than the fulfillment
of a goal. Success is understanding that after you accomplish a goal,
your brain looks for another and if you don't give it one, peace of mind
ceases to exist.

Success is about figuring out a way to win by rising above circumstances.

Today, you are a success when you decide to be BIGGER than your problems,
heartaches and mistakes; when you figure out a way to bring your BIG SELF
into the picture and have him guide you where you want to go.

Do this and you are a success long before you win the prize.

Matt Furey

P.S. Last week I spent six days coaching people - in private as well as in
a group format - and what a thrill it is to see so many people with goals
and aspirations - getting off their duffs and doing whatever it takes to
win. Yet, once again, long before the victory takes place, these men and
women are winners because they're on the journey. They're going for it.
Are you? Whether the answer is yes or no doesn't matter because I can
put rocket fuel in your craft. I can help launch you to places and "parts
unknown." Being part of the Psycho-Cybernetics Success Group will help
you in a big, BIG way. I absolutely guarantee it. Let me be your mentor.

Everything Contributes to Your Success

What if you had a mental picture of everything that ever happens
to you, somehow contributing to your success?

Take one of my mentors and coaches, Dan Gable, for example, who
once said, "I shoot, I score. He shoots, I score."

Think of this. This is the mindset, not only of a 1972 Olympic wrestling
champion - but of the man who coached the University of Iowa team
to 15 NCAA team titles in 21 seasons.

This is an example of a mental movie in which you do not see anything
someone else does as contributing to your failure. Only to your success.
You see yourself coming out ahead from everything that happens.

Everything is for the good. Everything and everyone contributes to your
success.

Instead of fearing another's attacks, you see them as helping you advance.
Instead of viewing someone as a competitor - you see him as someone
helping you win. This doesn't mean that you're buddy-buddy with those out
to harm you. It just means that instead of blaming them - you see them as
helping you prevail.

"If you're afraid to fail, you'll never succeed," said Gable.

How true.

Focus your mind on success and you'll get more of it. Make sure that all the
mental snapshots you think upon today are success oriented rather than
failure oriented.

Do You Have a Dream Today

Martin_Luther_King_-_March_on_Washington.jpg

The first time I heard Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous
"I Have a Dream" speech - I got goose bumps and
chills all over. I shivered with excitement. The booming
voice, the conviction, the fearlessness and passion. Most of all,
perhaps, was how all of the above flowed through this man
because he had a mission in life that was BIGGER than he was;
one that had a life of its own; one that would outlive him.

I was a junior year in high school when I first heard
this speech - and I will never forgot how it moved me.

A week after seeing it I was competing in a wrestling tournament
in the Tri-Center Neola area of Iowa. We're talking about a super-small
area of the state. Before I left home on the morning of that tournament,
my mother wished me luck. I turned to her and said, "I'm bringing home
the gold today."

Twas quite a statement because at that time in my wrestling career, I
wasn't very good. Had never even posted a winning season.

After winning my first round match at this tournament, I had to face a
man from Audobon. His name was Don Nelson - and he had whooped
me badly in ALL previous encounters.

The first time we met was in the finals of a tournament when I was a
freshman. He pinned me in 1:13 seconds. That's one minute and thirteen
seconds. Short work.

Less than a week later in a dual meet, he beat me 13-3. It would have been
worse but he kept me on my back most of the match, and the most you get
for doing so, regardless of the length of time, is three points.

As a sophomore he and I never met. But a mere six weeks earlier, when I was
a junior, we met again at a tournament in Spencer. The one-year respite hadn't
helped much. He beat me 19-4. I felt helpless against him. He was strong, quick
and was always three moves ahead of me.

But something happened to me after I watched the film of Martin Luther King Jr.
speaking before the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.

Although the speech was given on August 28, 1963, it carried a vibration that
struck a chord inside my soul - and when I went to that tournament in early January
of 1980, I was still buzzing with determination to become a champion, once and for
all.

20 minutes before my match with Nelson, I took a station in the hallway and began
to prance back and forth to warm up. I replayed the film of Dr. King in my mind. I
don't know why I did this, it just seemed like a good idea at the time. And as I saw
the movie in my mind's eye I could still hear the power and conviction in his voice
as he repeated the words "I have a dream" over and over again.

Strangely, as I pranced back and forth I began to change the words that came
after "I have a dream." I changed them to fit my current situation - my dream.

"I have a dream that one day I will walk onto the mat a champion. I will
stop losing and start winning. Yes, I have a dream today.

I have a dream that people who once beat me with ease will stand back
in awe as I mop the floor with them. Yes, I have a dream TODAY.

I have a dream that skills I didn't used to have will suddenly come to
me whenever and wherever I need them. Yes, I have a DREAM today."

On and on I went with similar words and phrases.

I worked myself into a trance-like state I had never ever felt
before. And when I walked onto the mat to face Don Nelson, I
was NOT the same person he had faced in our previous three
bouts.

I was a changed man. I had a mission that was bigger than myself. I had a
dream. I had a dream - TODAY. Right NOW.

As soon as the referee's whistle blew I shot in on him and took him down - right
to his back. After several seconds he reversed me and the battle of all battles was
ON.

I can still see his parents and his sister sitting matside, looking at each other
with "What is going on here?" expressions. I can still see the horror on their
faces as the inevitable was being dealt.

The closing seconds of the match were a virtual repeat of the opening seconds.
I shot in on him and drove him to the mat with what felt like super-sonic speed.
When the final buzzer sounded, I jumped in the air with both fists clenched toward
the heavens. I won the match, 7-6.

Don Nelson and I never competed against each other again and I never saw him
again. To this day, I have profound respect for the beatings he gave me in our first
three bouts, and for him. He helped contribute to my desire to rise above
my former self . Our final match marked a turning point in my athletic career. I was
never the same again.

Today, I suggest you take a moment to listen to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have
a Dream" speech. And as you listen, allow his energy to grab hold of your
soul like it did mine. USE his energy and make it your own. Use it to make
your life the masterpiece it was meant to be.

Are You In The Mode for Success

Ever wonder whether the goal seeking device in your
mind is moving you closer to success - or further away
from it?

You've probably never asked this question to yourself
before - yet it's a very important one.

As you go through your day, it's good to stop and ask,
"Am I in success mode or failure mode?" And if you're
in failure mode - you'll want to make a shift to get back
in success mode.

This begs the question, how would you know if you're in
failure mode?

There are many ways to know. Let me give you a number of
them to get you started.

1. Sense of Direction - When you got up this morning, did you
focus on a goal that you want to accomplish today? Not a problem,
mind you. A goal. Something you want to create and bring into
being. Remember, your mind is a goal seeking device and we
are happiest and have the greatest peace of mind when we
have something for the mind to go after. And so, if you have no
goal for today - you are in Automatic Failure Mode.

2. Are you focused on mistakes you've made, failures you've
undergone, hurts or disappointments you've encountered? If
your focus is upon any of these - you're in Automatic Failure
Mode.

3. Are you relaxed? Can you smile easily? Are you able to laugh?
If not - you're in Automatic Failure Mode.

4. Are you spending your time criticizing yourself or gossiping
about others? If so, your mind is no longer on a goal. You're in
Automatic Failure Mode.

5. In reading the previous four items, did you see yourself stuck in
the wrong mode? And if so, did you think to yourself that you'd like
to move into Automatic Success Mode? If so, you're now ready to
make a change for the better.

Members of the Psycho-Cybernetics Success Group are learning the
details of what I'm teaching here - and they are, day-in and day-out
getting into Automatic Success Mode.

I KNOW who is in this mode and who isn't based upon nothing more than
an email. Everything you say, do, think and write sends off a vibration -
and if you're senitive to these vibrations you instantly know who is on
target and who isn't.

For example, the other day I received an email from B.W. - a Psycho-
Cybernetics Success Group Member. Read what she wrote to me and
ask yourself what mode you think she is in:

Matt,
More great stuff.. yesterday, at the end of taking a telephone message
for my husband, the lady calling replied "Mam, I have to tell you, you have
such good energy." Matt I wasn't even trying or thinking about my energy
level or trying to be upbeat. It traveled across time and space!

A bit of info about me:

Female, just had my 62 birthday. Excellent Health!!

Talk about diversifying...have been a model and an actor for 30 years.

Was a middle school teacher for 18 years.

A textbook sales rep and consultant for 14 years. My job was eliminated and I
started my own business as an event planner. Recently I joined talents with a
friend who is an awesome cook/caterer and we now offer event planning and
catering services. Slow going for several years...but the magic is happening now.

Coincidence...I don't think so..since starting your course opportunities are starting
to open up.

I just received a call about an hour ago from a production company that produces
the largest Bridal show in the area. Since it is last minute she is offering me the
booth at half price. I have always wanted to do this show. HAPPY HAPPY!

Just before my mother died 5 years ago she told me... that it was really time for
me to stop working - that I had gone about as far in life as I was going to go and
my life style wasn't going to get any better. I knew in my heart that there was a
lot more living for me to do and experience and that my lifestyle could improve.
I am certain that she meant well. But it was a struggle going through the grief
process and her words stuck and replayed in my head like a bad CD.

For many years I experienced an internal conflict....what I was told by someone
I trusted and dearly loved vs. what I really felt deep inside. Thanks to your emails
and other positive information that I have received I am winning the battle against
the ego or the other side of myself that says I couldn't, I shouldn't.

Every morning from my kitchen window, while praying, meditating and journal writing
I can see the name of my street which is PLEASANT AVE. The sign faces my window.
What a great way to start a day.

Best,
B.

It's pretty clear what mode B. is in, don't you think?

Want to get into this mode yourself - and rise above the limitations others, including
those you dearly love, try to put on you - then drop everything you're doing and
go to http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/success_group.html - once there, follow
through and become a member yourself.

Making this first step will lead to a lifetime of greatness.

15 Seats Left

We're down to the final 15 seats at my 'Secret of Secrets'
Fitness Seminar.

This is going to be the best seminar ever held on fitness, health
and longevity because, for the first time, I'm going to lay out
the most important element of the success formula - and that
is the creation of a powerful, will-not-be-denied self-image.

How you see yourself in your mind's eye is the key to creating
the body you want. It is the key to your level of happiness,
success and fulfillment in ALL you do. Yet, 98.5 percent of the
population has no idea how to use the imagination to get the
results you want in life.

Most people are preoccupied with thoughts and fears of failure.
They worry about making mistakes, failing, doing the wrong things.

The successful person doesn't have these concerns. He knows
that nothing comes to the person who doesn't try. He know that
if you want a change to take place in your life, you must first
picture what you want - then go after it.

So I tell you this: Stop trying to change you body through exercise
and diet alone - then giving up three weeks later because you didn't
tweak the image you have of yourself in your own mind. Learn how to
easily use the most valuable tool in your mind and body - your own
imagination.

With proper, systematic use of your imagination, you can conquer
anything. You can move mountains. You can change your body
from fat to fit, you can go from tight and constricted muscles to super
relaxed and flexible; you can go from feelings of frustration to feelings
of super success.

With the teachings I am going to lay out at this event - your
success is inevitable.

De-Hypnotize Yourself

Here's something champion athletes know about visualization
that the rest of the world doesn't.

When most people visualize, they sit back, relax, close their
eyes and begin imagining what they want to achieve.

This, no doubt, is a must-learn skill. That's why I keep stressing
the importance of doing the "Theatre of the Mind" exercises.

But once you are able to RELAX on command, and once you are
able to really FEEL yourself in your future reality - being able to
effectively visualize with your eyes wide open represents a whole
new level of skill that you'll want to integrate into your training.

When I visualize, for example, much of the time I don't need to close
my eyes to get results of a startling nature. I don't need to think about
going into delta or theta. I don't need to put on special high-tech glasses,
listen to a metronome, or think about setting and releasing anchors.

Why? Because I believe success has MORE to do with de-hypnosis than
anything else.

And by this I mean de-hypnotizing yourself from false beliefs; de-hypnotizing
yourself from the idea that you can't do the things you really want to do;
de-hypnotizing yourself out of thoughts about lack, poverty, ill health and
so on - while simultaneously allowing visions of a brighter future to come
into your mind - and into your life.

Think of the athlete who is out on the court or on the field.

Suppose he's in a position to score the winning point in a basketball game -
or kick the winning field goal. Being able to mentally tune everything and
everyone else out while visualizing doing what it takes to win the game ...
that's the hallmark of the supreme athlete.

Last weekend I was watching the Cowboys and Seahawks in the first-round
of the playoffs. During the final two minutes it looked like Dallas was going
to win. They had driven the ball down to the 1.5 yard line. All they had to
do was make a chip-shot field goal and they would go ahead - and quite
possibly win the game.

The quarterback for the Cowboys, Tony Romo, got set to receive the snap
from the center. It was a good snap. Romo caught it and ... oh no, instead
of the ball touching the ground in a position that the kicker could boot it
through the uprights, the ball slipped from his grasp. He immediately picked
it up and began racing toward the end zone. And he would have made it if
a Seahawks player hadn't dove for his ankles and tackled him.

I thought about this situation a lot. Not only did I feel badly for Romo, as no
one wants to see a star quarterback go through the embarrassment and
humiliation he must have felt - but I feel, based upon my athletic and martial
arts career - that prior to receiving the snap, Romo's mind was fighting off
mental images of failure. And these mental images of making a mistake
came to life in front of 60,000 screaming fans.

It takes a ton of relaxed concentration to have your mind so deeply centered
that you can filter out 60,000 screaming fans - as well as any negative image
that may pop into your mind in a critical situation. In situations like these, I must
remind you there's no time for sitting in a chair to visualize. You've got to be able
to do it NOW - with your eyes wide open. You've got to be able to relax and put a
cancel stamp on all negative thoughts. You've got to be able to see precisely what
you want in such a gargantuan way that nothing else can possibly enter your mind.

For the non-athlete, this skill is necessary as well. Think of a situation in which you
feel fear or nervousness. For many, "public speaking" may come to mind. The very
thought of speaking before a group of people terrifies a lot of people more than the
thought of death (and why is that terrifying? - could it be a negative picture in your
mind?).

Now, if you take a person who is afraid of speaking in public and observe him, you
may witness that he has no trouble at all speaking to people one-to-one, even two-
to-one or eight-to-one. Yet, this same person, never thinks about the fact that he
CAN speak, and speak well, to people in those situations. But instead of recalling past
successes, he thinks only of possible failure. Instead of activating his internal Success
Mechanism, he activates his internal Failure Mechanism.

Back to Tony Romo. I think that is what he did. In the high-pressure situation,
instead of recalling previous snaps he's taken successfully, he dwelled on the fact
that he might make a mistake. And make a mistake he did.

Afterward he went to the bench, put his head down and sulked. The game was NOT
over. There was still time to win.

Yes, he'd make a mistake. He's human like the rest of us. All of us screw-up. It's part
of life. But the faster we let go of our mistakes and focus on what we've done in the
past that is right, the faster we will rise above our blunders.

What Romo could have been doing after he bobbled the ball, was imagine throwing
a game-winning "Hail Mary" pass.

Those work from time to time - and interstingly enough, do you know when they
work? They work when the quarterback and receiver are mentally in sync. They
work when BOTH players can see what they want to have happen - and see
it LIVE, on the BIG SCREEN of their minds, when their eyes are wide open.

Simply throwing the long bomb will not do it.

There is a reason quarterbacks like John Elway and Joe Montana became famous
for engineering last minute come-from-behind wins. Both of these men saw themselves
winning the game in the last minute. They were still cool and calm under pressure.
They had engineered successful drives before, so they believed they could do it again.

What have you done before successfully?

Take a moment to recall your past successes - then blend them into your future. Don't
focus on previous failures - unless you want more of them. Focus on previous victories,
no matter how big or small.

When you do this you will begin to experience an UNSTOPPABLE feeling of success -
and I think you'll be surprised at how often this feeling leads to you getting what you
want out of life.

Eat Lots - Weight Less

[Note: Only 198 people will get in on this HUGE tip.]

Last November I gave a couple presentations in Atlanta as
part of the Glazer-Kennedy Info-Summit. Was truly great
to meet so many of the Furey Faithful who are using what
I've taught to reap major rewards, physically and otherwise.

During my talk I made mention of a simple weight loss
secret that I'd be revealing in the near future.

Many of the people attending were willing to pay me $100.00 cash,
on the spot, to learn the secret. Naturally, as I wasn't at this summit
to teach weight loss, I had to bite my tongue. But I did meniton to
them, as I am to YOU - where you can go to discover how easy it is
to 'eat lots and weigh less.'

One man came up to me and said, 'I know the secret. All you do is eat
five or six small meals per day instead of three.'

What's more - you only need to make a simple shift in your eating habits.
Just ONE shift.

So make sure you enroll as a member of the Matt Furey Inner Circle
right now. At present we can only accept another 198 new members.
Make sure you're one of them. Enroll NOW.

Two ways to get the job done:

1. Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html and
enroll as an annual member.

or

2. Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/fg324trfsr3ttai.html and sign
on as a monthly test-drive member.

That's it, my friend.

Kick butt - take names,

Matt Furey

P.S. In the Janaury 2007 issue of the Matt Furey Inner Circle newsletter,
you'll be give a sample 2-day plan to follow as well as a lot of stretching
exercises to be done with a partner that will quickly double your flexibility.
If you follow the 2-day program I show you, or a reasonable facsimile
thereof, you are going to be amazed at what a dramatic turnaround you
go through.

P.P.S. Most importantly, in this special issue I give you tools for recreating
the mental movies that form your self-image. Once you follow what I'm
teaching and reformat the movies in your own mind - you will finally have
a tool that will not only help you quickly and easily drop excess weight, but
also provide you with the know-how for keeping it off.

3 Minutes a Day to Millions

Yesterday I had a full-day consultation with J, a client who
began his business two years ago, per my recommendation,
and quickly built a company doing over ten million bucks a
year. This year I'm certain he'll break 20 million.

If you were to meet the man, you may walk away from a
conversation with him and vote him as "least likely to succeed."

He's playful. He's fun. He jokes around all the time. He doesn't
appear to have a serious bone in his body.

But - oh what a mind he has.

He sets a goal - then he goes after it, still in a playful manner
mind you, with absoulte unrelenting persistence. He's a unique
combination of a pit bull and a Cheshire cat. Once he latches on,
he won't let go - but he's smiling through the entire ordeal.

Most of all, there is literally nothing you can do to discourage him.
No matter how many mistakes he makes; no matter how many
so-called failures, he will not let up.

Many years ago, for example, he entered flight school. He wanted
to become a pilot. He went through a string of teachers, one of whom
told him, "You will never, ever get your pilot's license."

11 teachers later, J got his license. As irony would have it, he was in
his private plane one afternoon, flying up north, and over the radio
he heard his former teacher (the one who said he'd never become a
pilot), making preparations for landing.

J got on the horn and informed his former teacher that he was NOW
a pilot, was right behind him, and would be landing right after him.
You can imagine the fear that shot through the teacher's body at
that moment, can't you?

After our first two hours yesterday, J turned his focus away from
marketing ideas and asked me to tell him more about the power
of focus. He told me that he attributes much of his success to making
mental pictures and movies of what he wants to achieve, and wanted
MORE help with the process he used.

Imagine that.

I began to quiz J, going into great depth about how he uses his mind to
create his mental pictures and movies. One of my most important questions
was, "How long do you spend picturing what you want?"

"About a minute," he said. "I do it three times a day. I close my eyes and
see where I want to be and imagine I'm already there."

"Has anything mysterious or magical ever happened as a result of doing
this?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. For example, I'll think about someone I want to do business with.
Not only does picturing what I want make the process almost magical when
I give my presentation, but on many occasions, after thinking about a specifc
person, the phone would ring and he would be on the line telling me he was
ready to move forward."

One of the key elements I have mentioned about J is that he is playful. He is
always having a good time.

Now you might think, "Well, of course. If I was making 20 million a year I
would be too." But what you don't know about J is that he was this way when
he started out.

Being relaxed - even playful, is a principle of Psycho-Cybernetics that you
must pay attention to, if you want to get great results from playing your
mental movies. You do not visualize when your body and mind are filled
with stress.

You relax your mind. You relax your body.

And then you begin to imagine the life you want to have.

Step-by-step details on how you do this is in the Zero Resistance Living course -
http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html

Also, each month in the Psycho-Cybernetics Success group, I personally guide
you through the very things I was teaching J in person yesterday. You can only
WIN when you're a member of this extraordinary group of DOERS. Get involved

Fit, Fat (and/or Happy)

Ever wonder how we started circulating sayings like
"fat and happy? - especially when such a line is rarely
ever true?

Conversely, I've seen a lot of supposedly "fit" people
who are just as miserable. They're out pounding the
pavement working toward "runner's high" - yet there's
no sense of joy in what they're doing.

Ever wonder why this is?

On the one hand, the person who is overweight is
generally always smothering his or her emotions.
He's afraid to truly step out into the world - to really
BE who he wants to be ... uninhibited - with raw as well
as rare courage. So he insulates and protects himself
with a big belly. It's his buffer between the internal and
external world - the "what I am" steering clear of the what
"I really want to be."

The "lean and mean" joyless runner, on the other hand,
moves his body in the hopes of getting MORE out of life.
Trouble is he doesn't realize that the same MIND that got
him fit is the same one that will help him become happy
and fulfilled. You get what you focus on - but if you don't
know how you focused to get fit, you won't be able to
use the same process to achieve other things.

In both scenarios, what we are observing is a disconnect
between mind and body. The fit person goes into the world,
seemingly without fear - yet doesn't have the slightest idea
as to how he can use the same mental process he used to
get fit for everything else in life he wants. So, instead of
living a balanced life where he enjoys many, many great
accomplishments - he may spend his day doing nothing
but training.

Reminds me of the Forrest Gump line, "And for no particular
reason I started running ..."

Running without a purpose. Not a good idea - but it does make
for a blockbuster. People identify with the "and no for particular
reason" line more than they care to admit.

The overweight person has one advantage over the fit person.

You may be surprised to know what it is. Here goes: When the
overweight person loses his extra weight, it almost always
coincides with moving forward in life - moving past your fears;
moving toward goals that truly matter to you; and most importantly,
making those goals become a reality.

With each shedded pound the overweight person can say to himself,
"That's another huge step toward a better life."

The fit person can do the same. As he runs, does Hindu Pushups or
squats. Swims or walks. Bicycles or hikes. Instead of moving without
a purpose, he can use the time to run mental movies through his
mind. Movies that will lay the foundation for whatever he wants in
life.

He can link mind with body and spirit. He can connect his spirit to his mind
and to every cell of his body. He can emblazon a message of fitness and
happiness into the essence of who he is and become MORE than he is
right now.

Everything in life begins with a mental picture, an image in your mind;
including fitness; including happiness.

If you don't like the results you are getting in life right now, then you
must start changing the images you're circulating in your mind.

Think of exercising and you'll begin doing it.

Think of eating better and you'll eat better.

Think of getting someone to help you get fit - and you'll find the person.

Think of happiness and you'll become happy.

On the other hand, if you dwell upon the opposite of what you want - you'll
get more of that, too.

The secret of ALL lasting change lies in your self-image. Going from fat to
fit requires more than exercise and proper diet. Those are the actions, the
habits. But the most important habit of all is the habit that supercedes exercise
and nutrition. It is the habit of seeing yourself the way you want to be.

Going from fit and miserable to fit and happy also lies in how you see yourself.
Everything is an attitude ... and attitude is everything.

If you don't agree, then I dare you to do this one thing: Before going for a walk
or run; before doing the exercises I teach in Combat Conditioning and Combat
Abs - http://www.mattfurey.com/products.html - say the following to yourself:

"Everything is attitude and attitude is everything. Today I'm going to exercise
like I love it more than anything else in the world."

Then go through your routine.

If you don't have a much better workout, then I'm a monkey's uncle.

The Day I Almost Lost My Foot

When I was 9 years old my next door neighbor, Greg, was out
mowing his lawn. He was a year older than I was and normally
well mannered.

Regardless, on that humid summer evening back in Iowa, I decided
to bother Greg by walking in front of the lawn mower as he pushed
it. I was begging him for a reaction.

React, he did. But not the way I expected. Instead of yelling at me
to get out of the way, or letting go of the mower to physically push
me - he had a novel idea.

He decided to push the mower right onto my foot.

"YOWWWWWCHHH" I screamed as my shoe got caught under the
mower. I fell to the ground screaming and crying.

In an instant my parents, Greg's parents and the entire neighborhood
came running. I laid on the ground thinking the end was at hand.

My sneaker was in hundreds of tiny pieces, scattered all over the lawn.
And my mind was spinning faster than the blade on the mower.

Greg literally mowed my shoe right off my foot. Yet somehow -
and at this point I'd have to use the "Grace of God" line - my
foot was spared. Not a scratch. Not a nick. Not a trace of blood.

I didn't realize how lucky I was that day. My parents were more
relieved than I was, because unlike myself, they knew much
better than I the value of my foot. They understood the pain,
suffering and lifelong agony I would have endured if the blade
had cut into my bare foot. I might have lost a couple toes. I
might have lost my foot. Perhaps something even worse.

My foot survived this run in with the lawn mower, and from that
moment on in my life I took seriously my mother's stories about
guardian angels.

Whether you believe in guardian angels in the external world or not -
I think you will agree that within your own mind there is also a type
of guardian angel. It's called your Success Mechanism. When fed goals,
questions ... and memories of the things you have to be grateful for - it
goes to work to bring MORE of the good your way.

On the other hand, you also have a Failure Mechanism within. And when it
is fed images of doom, gloom and despair - when it is fed resentment,
disappointment, failure and frustration - it goes to work to bring you more
of them.

It is up to YOU whether you want to focus on the good or the bad. I most
certainly suggest the good - and if at any time you begin to dwell on or
think of the bad - catch yourself doing so and ask yourself, "What's good
about this? How can I turn this situation to my advantage? Where's the seed
of an equivalent or greater benefit in this?"

When you ask questions like these, you probe the subconscious section of the
mind to come up with ways to turn every semmingly negative experience into
a positive. Once you've done it a few times I think you'll come to understand
how the positive outweighs the negative.

Oh - and by the way, I never walked in front of a lawn mower again. Lesson
learned.

Best,

Matt Furey

Five Second Abs for Breakfast

One of the great things about Combat Abs is that
the main exercise, The Farmer Burns Stomach
Flattener, which is frequently done before breakfast,
doesn't take much time. Just 10 repetitions or so - all
of which take 2 to 5 seconds.

Always remember to follow the instructions in the book -
http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html

There are two other times when doing The Farmer
Burns Stomach Flattener (for info on the Farmer
Burns course on physical culture and wrestling go to
http://www.mattfurey.com/farmerburns.html )
- is appropriate (actually there are many). The first is
whilst sitting at a stop light. Here in Tampa, you can easily
hammer out five to ten quick five-second reps at a red light.

The other perfect time is when flying the friendly
skies. Once you've been in the air a couple hours
and want to wake up - and tone up - take your deep
breath and get flexing.

Each day look in the mirror and 'behold the difference.'
It truly is remarkable.

Kick butt - take names,

No More Fear of Fitness Failure

I recently received an email from a man who wants to know if my
fitness program will work for him. Normally I would simply say 'yes' -
yet today I have a different response that may surprise you.

Here's the letter - followed by my comments:

Dear Mr. Furey,
I have been receiving your emails for sometime now and I can't believe
I am writing to you. I am 42, out of shape, with high blood pressure. My
dad just had a heart attack at the age of 67. He also was diagnosed with
diabetes.

I am sure you have had this question before, but I will just lay it out.
Are your programs right for a 'fat old man'. That is certainly how I
feel about myself. I know it is time to do something, but I am scared.
Scared of failing, scared of loosing motivation. I am also scared of
dying early from my own laziness.

You are outspoken. Please take a moment and give me your input.
I would greatly appreciate the guidance and insight.

Sincerely,
Dave
Tucson, Arizona

M.F. Dave, thanks so much for writing and for laying it on the line
in regard to your current thoughts and feelings. My answer to your
questions is simple: Who is asking? The person you have described,
the 42-year old fat man, as well as the man who is afraid of failing,
losing motivation and dying - all wrapped up in one - is NOT the
REAL YOU. There is a stranger within you that you need to make
friends with; a stranger who KNOWS you can succeed; a stranger
who loves you, cares for you and will do whatever it takes for you
to rise above these fears, phobias and current conditions.

I suggest you begin speaking from the part of you that is confident,
courageous and filled with the desire to make something of yourself.

In the past you have succeeded in many, many things. You need to
spend time recalling your past successes instead of dwelling on your
fears and failures. You need to picture what it is that you want - not
what you fear.

If you will do this, I am sure you will succeed. My fitness program may
not be right for you - but I'm betting it is. If you really want to succeed,
I suggest giving yourself every chance for success by enrolling in the
Matt Furey Inner Circle - http://www.mattfurey.com/furey_inner_circle.html

I also suggest you become a member of my Psycho-Cybernetics Success
Group - http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/success_group.html

Here's why: Earlier today I read the following from a man who is
both an MFIC member and P-C member. He wrote this on the Matt Furey
Inner Circle discussion board in reply to another man's question. Please
read what this man had to say and be inspired:

Subject: You gotta start with the inner you

Message: David, First place to begin is with your self image. Until you change
the way you see yourself (your inner self...the real you), you won't make a
permenant change. I speak this from experience. Where I suggest to start is
the psycho-cybernetics success group. I've been struggling with many obstacles
for the past 4-6 years. And for a quick over view, my life was on a dramatic
rollercoaster. A ride that consisted of drugs and alcohol.

I've worked out sparaically during these years as a way to rid myself of these
two major headaches. Didn't work. I joined the success group in the beginning
of November. Not really sure why I joined up, but I did. At the time I was suffering
from a really terrible addiction. One that people say you never get over. One that
I swore to never try...crack.

Well when I started receiving the newsletters and Cd's, I decided to attempt to try
and change my inner self. During this time, I was open to new ideas. Ideas of how
to improve my life. And by opening myself up to a positive change, the rollercoaster
life I was living came to a halt. The group is what shook me, and put me back on
my feet. Since then, I've became 10x the person whom I used to be. I'm not giving
the success group 100% credit for my change (I've been clean since November, the
only time during these past 4-6 years that I've accomplished this, and I am not looking
back), but I will say its helped me become who I've wanted to be.

You can do everything in the world to get fit, look good, loose weight, etc. But if
you don't change the way you see yourself through your own eyes, you'll never
be satisfied. And that leads to the rollercoaster ride over and over. You know,
before I was afraid to tell people I used to smoke crack. I was always in fear
that I'd fall like I have in the past. But not now, I'm proud that I've overcome
one of the largest obstacles in my life. And I am proud to tell about it.

Good luck David, you have just took the first step in surrounding yourself with
top notch people who are looking forward to helping you along the way.

Jared

I think Jared just showed you the path to take, Dave. The rest is up to you.

Kick butt - take names,

Matt Furey

P.S. Don't forget about my February 'Secret of Secrets' Fitness Seminar. It's
filling up fast. At this event I'm going to introduce you to the REAL YOU - Your
BIG SELF. Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/007_fitness_bootcamp.html and

Why 2007 is a POWER Year for You

Since the beginning of this year I have sent notes to several
people, not only wishing them well for 2007 - but also telling
them that THIS is a Power Year.

Now, I am sending this to YOU as well.

Whenever a year ends in '7' - it has got to be a good sign.

You can find at least seven reasons why this is so if you'll
look for them.

Here is my short list of seven:

2007 is a Power Year because ...

1. The number seven is so powerful it was often used in
the Bible - i.e. the story of Creation itself spanned 7 days -
and because I am a creator - I like the number 7

2. The number 7 was considered a magical number by the
Greeks.

3. The Babylonians and Egyptians believed there were 7
sacred planets

4. Seven rhymes with heaven.

5. There are 7 natural wonders of the world; 7 wonders of
the Middle Ages and 7 wonders of the ancient world.

6. My given first name, Matthew, has seven letters.

7. In 1987 I opened my first business in California; and I won
the world championship in kung fu in 1997.

Okay, now you can do as one person did and write to tell me,
"They're all power years, Matt." And you would be correct.

Yet, as I told him - "Although you are right - we are currently on
THIS year. So why not tell yourself that this year has special significance
and make it so."

As you can see from my 7th reason, I went back in time and found one
major success that took place in a number '7' year. I suggest you do
likewise, then tie it to WHY you're going to do well this year, too.

Do not look for the things that went wrong in a number '7' year as that
would activate your servo mechanism toward the negative. Focus on the
good and you will create more of it.

Focus on this year being especially powerful for you - and it will be. We get
what we're looking for.

Or you can trot along, lumping this year with all the others, giving it no special
place in your mind or heart.

I prefer the approach I've outlined here. Why not give it a whirl and see what
great things you accomplish this year?

Best,

Matt Furey

What Causes Yo-Yo Weight Fluctuations

Years ago I trained a 53-year old real estate salesman named
John. He was one of my best clients because he followed directions.
He did everything I recommended and because of this, he got
results fast.

Prior to training with me, John was emotionally beaten from the
stress of his job. People called him at all hours of the day. He
couldn't even go to a movie in peace as he felt he MUST have
his cell phone and pager with him - just in case someone called.

Not being able to take time for himself caused him to feel stressed,
and when he felt stressed - he did what many people do. He shoved
more food into his mouth, usually in the form of donuts and pastries.
This created the "blimp city" look for him - right in his stomach. He
weighed 235 pounds and most of it, as he would say, was pure "lard."

When he first began learning from me he said, "Just tell me
what to do and I'll do it."

So I mapped out his program, began training him - gave him
the Furey Fat Loss Program to follow - and turned him loose.

He was the model client. He did everything I told him to do. He
showed up for every workout. He took action and quickly got
results. Within three months he had dropped 36 pounds - and
after six months he was down to his ideal weight of 175 pounds.

I was so proud of John - but John was not so proud of himself. He told
me that although he looked better, he didn't FEEL any better. He said
this in spite of being able to go on bike rides of 100 miles or more,
when he couldn't do a mile when he started with me.

When John said he didn't FEEL any better, I was stunned. How could
he NOT feel better? Twould be impossible, I thought.

I pointed out to John all the positives he had accomplished. In response
he told me about all the things he couldn't do yet. Although he went from
a waistline of 43" to 32" - he told me he was still too fat. One day, right
during the middle of a workout, he quit. He said he was tired of the training
and didn't want to do it anymore.

I called him periodically to check on him. He wouldn't take my call.

A year later I saw him going to a movie. He was bigger than ever, well beyond
the 235 pounds he weighed BEFORE I trained him.

I called out to him. He stopped in his tracks, looked to see who it was. Upon
seeing me he looked at his shoes, then looked back at me and said, "I'm
sorry to have let you down."

I asked John if he'd join me for a cup of coffee. He agreed.

"It is not you who failed,' I said to John, when we sat in the coffee shop.

"Well who is it, then?" John asked.

"It's me," I said.

"YOU? How did you fail?"

"I failed to teach you the most important element of lifelong health and fitness;
of life-long weight loss."

"But you helped me lose wieght," said John.

"I did," I replied. "But there's a reason you didn't keep it off. You didn't keep it
off because I didn't tell you that you need to change your self-image, the person
you are inside. I only taught you how to exercise and how to eat."

"Isn't that enough?" said John. "Isn't hard work the key to success?"

"No, it's not," I said. "You worked hard, you got results. But you didn't continue
on the path you were on. You even told me you didn't FEEL any different even
though you lost a lot of weight and had mega-endurance and strength compared
to when you started with me. You ignored everything positive you did and focused
on negatives. And some of the negative were nothing more than your imagination
gone wild."

"I can be my own worst enemy sometimes," said John.

"You can also be your own best friend," I said.

"How?" said John.

"By focusing on the good you've done. By recalling your successes. And by changing
who you think you are in your mind's eye."

John agreed to come back to the gym for training. This time, however, instead of
only teaching him exercises, I taught him how to change his self-image. I told him
to follow my directions on this, just as he had followed my directions on how to
exercise and how to eat.

He did - and he lost the weight once again. Ths time, he lost it for good. He changed
how he saw himself within - and this not only lead to the same physical results - but
to a good FEELING about himself once the weight was off. This in turn led to him
keeping the weight off, permanently.

What I have described above is true. It is not hype. It is a proven fact. You can read
more about it in the 30 million copy best-seller, Psycho-Cybernetics, by Dr. Maxwell
Maltz - or at my other website, http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com

The truth is we never rise above our self-image; at least not for long. And if we ever
do, our mind cannot handle the success and we quickly revert to the way we were
before.

We live in a nation of yo-yo dieters. Of people who lose-gain, lose-gain, and end up
worse than ever before.

There is a way to end this destructive cycle. And I'm making it the primary focus
of my work from now on.

I've spent years teaching people how to exercise and how to eat better. And I've
published information on the importance of changing your self-image - but nothing
compared to what I have planned.

This is why, at my "Secret of Secrets" Fitness Seminar - being held in February - and
heading for a sell-out, I'm going to teach you how to place success images in the theatre
of your mind so that you achieve a lifetime of success with your weight, your body and
your health.

There is NOTHING more important to your success than what I am going to cover
at this seminar. You can learn exercises and diets until the cows come home - and
they do - but without making changes to your self-image, nothing will happen except
a perpetuation of the yo-yo syndrome.

Come fly with me - above and beyond the limitations you have placed upon yourself.

Come to my seminar this February. Time is running out. So is space. Enroll NOW and
change your life for the better ... FOREVER.

Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/007_fitness_bootcamp.html and turn yourself into
the confident, confident, successful person you were designed to be.

Best,

Matt Furey

Why Goals and Resoultions Fail

When I began my personal fitness training career back in
1987, many of my clients came to me looking for motivation.

And I gave them plenty of it - but more importantly, I taught
them something that is "THE KEY" to success in anything.

You might think it's goals - or New Year's Resoultions. You might
think it's positive thinking - or will power. Yet, the truth is that the
key to success is none of these things.

Regarding will power, I once had a client who told his friends,
"Matt is my will. I don't have the will to exercise on my own,
so I go to him and he gives me the will I need."

Not so. I gave the man support - but I didn't give him my will.
Not only that, but I went so far as to tell him he didn't need to
use his own will either.

There's an old saying, "In the battle of will power versus imagination,
your imagination wins every time."

This happens to be true with getting fit, improving your career, having
better relationships, rearing your kids - and everything else. You can
do your best to impose your will on a child or student, for example, but
it is the other person's imagination that will prevail. The same goes when
you pit your will against your imagination.

Your imagination was created to move mountains - to help you create
whatever you want in life. Your imagination, as P.T. Barnum once said,
is "the elixir of life." Or as Einstein said, "... is more important than
knowledge."

The most important part of the word 'imagination' is "image." As in, what
is your "self-image?"

How do you see yourself? What is the opinion you have of yourself?

You can set goals - as I encourage people to do; you can make resolutions;
you can even try to use your will to get what you want out of life - BUT if
your goals, resolutions or will are in conflict with your self-image, you will
not make lasting change. Not only that, you won't even take lasting action
to create the results you want.

The bottom line is that you will fail to get what you say you want. Or you'll
get what you want temporarily - only to snap back into agreement with
the picture you have of yourself; your self-image.

The good news is that you can change your self-image. You can attain the
results you want by relaxing your mind and body and imagining the person
you want to become.

Just as a professional fighter shadow boxes to perfect his punches, you use
your imagination the same way. You play around with the image you have
of yourself. You go to the place that Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of the 30-million
copy best-seller, Psycho-Cybernetics, called your "Theatre of the Mind."

You go into this private movie theatre and make changes on the INSIDE that
will in turn change who you are on the OUTSIDE.

This, my friend, is the key to making goals and resolutions successful. This is
the key to making positive thinking work. Without a change in your self-image,
you're riding in a car without gas.

"How to Build a Fit, Powerful and Healthy Self-Image" is something I am going
to cover at my February "Secret of Secrets" Fitness Seminar in extraordinary
detail. I am going to guide you through all the steps that lead to lasting
success. And when you follow these steps you will attain the weight you want; the
fitness level you want; and whatever else you want out of life.

Learning how to change your self-image IS the most important exercise I can
teach you. With a healthy self-image you're somebody; without it, you're nothing.

Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/007_fitness_bootcamp.html and BECOME the
SOMEBODY you've always wanted to be.

Best,

Matt Furey

THINK BIG - LIVE LARGE

I haven't been able to get this out of my mind - and
frankly, that's because I don't want to.

Two days ago I was in a magazine shop, grabbing a pile
of periodicals to leaf through. One that caught my attention
was TRUMP. As you can imagine, the name was in BIG,
BOLD print.

Yet, beneath the name was a slogan - "THINK BIG - LIVE
LARGE."

With a slogan like that, how could I refuse. Without even
looking at the contents of the magazine, I bought. It's
still sitting in the front seat of my HUMMER. I still haven't
opened the magazine to read it. And I've already gotten
FAR more in benefits than wait I paid for the issue.

How?

Because of the slogan - "THINK BIG - LIVE LARGE."
