How to Hit Like a Sledgehammer

I just reviewed another kick-butt program showing you how to knock someone out with one punch. Even if you're a rank beginner. Follow the advice in this program and your fist will be like a sledgehammer.

This sort of program will change the way self-defense is taught. No more being a victim. No more walking in fear. No more need to years of study before you know what to do.

Go to http://www.mattfurey.com/ultimate_punch.html
and check it out.

Irish Epileptic Knocks Man Out With One Punch

When you think of the "Fighting Irish" two thoughts may come to mind:

1. The Notre Dame football team or
2. Irish people fighting in bars after they've had too much drink

But today I want to tell you about a young lady I met nearly five years ago when I did a clinic in Limerick, Ireland. The young lady's name is Catherine Costigan and she hits like a freight train - even though she looks like a beauty queen - and in spite of that she was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was 8 years old.

The way I see it, none of the above is reason enough to go through life being or feeling like a victim. No woman should ever believe she's so beautiful that there's no need to ever pop an abusive man across the chops. Nor should an epileptic, for that matter. And in Ireland, every once in a while I'm sure someone drinks a bit too much and needs a good crackin.

I think we can say the same about people in the United States, too - don't you think? In fact, I'd like to bring Catherine over for a seminar, put a bunch of dork men in the room who have no life - have each of them come forth with something dopey to say and watch as Catherine knocks their tar and nicotine stained teeth down their gullets. In fact, this is such a good idea we could probably film it and make a fortune.

But until that day happens, you'll have to settle for Catherine's Ultimate Punch training program - sent to you by mail.

It is one AWESOME program - for many reasons - and your eyes and ears will be glued to the tube the whole time Catherine is talking and moving. Riveting stuff - for men and women.

Go take a gander today. Get the program and see how easy it is to drill a knuckle head with one punch.

Another Kick in the Nads

Last week I wrote you about the kung fu master who let me kick him in the nuts - also known as the 'nads' (as in gonads).

A few people doubted whether the story was true - so here's the STRIKING photo of me punting him in the balls with full force. You will see the muscles in my calf bulging as I punt him.

If this isn't convincing enough - then perhaps we'll put up a short video clip of me aiming for the 1-yard line. Maybe we'll do that anyway because it's pretty awesome to witness.

Master Liu, the "machine" I was kicking - is 53 years young but looks about 35. When he began teaching me his unique form, a form designed to keep you young well into your 70's, 80's and beyond - I was pleased to see that some of the preparatory movements are the same as what Master Zhang DiYi and I put into the Chinese Long-Life System.

So you know, the Chinese Long-Life System will teach anyone how to turn back the clock and increase mind and memory power - something many people worry about losing as they age. Have no fear of such matters. Just follow the instructions in the CLLS and you'll be set.

Will you learn how to take a full-force punt to the nads in the CLLS? Not a chance. But I'm not so sure that's a skill you're overly eager to begin developing. Am I right?

One more thing: After giving away over 5000 Matt Furey Exercise Bibles - and after hearing all the positive feedback about it - I've decided to begin charging for it. So you have only 5 more days to get the MFEB gratis by becoming a member of the Matt Furey Inner Circle.

When the 5 days are up this unique training tool will cost the same or MORE than what you invest for one-month of the Matt Furey Inner Circle. So those of you who enrolled this month - or who have already been members - you've already gotten a HUGE bonus - and I'm thankful as can be to have you on board.

Those of you who aren't on board - well, I cannot think of a better time to get serious about your life than NOW. Become a member of the Matt Furey Inner Circle today and I guarantee you'll need a set of binoculars to see how far you've come in such a short time.

What Kills Talent

I think most people would love to write a book
someday. They'd also like to travel the world. I've
heard these are two of the top dreams of most of
society.

Yet, the first of these two dreams, writing a book -
or let's just say, becoming a writer - is something
that gets "killed" early on in most peoples' lives.

But it doesn't have to. More importantly, if you've
ever felt that your desire to become a writer was
put to death - I have good news for you. This
desire and the talent that goes with it can be
resurrected and brought to see the light of
day.

I know this for a fact because after I got out of
college the desire I had to write and make a great
liviing from what I wrote was strong. But after a
couple brief conversations with "well meaning"
people, my desire waned. For several years I
produced nearly nothing.

Then one day I dusted off the desire I had buried
and took a good look. Next thing you know I was
writing books, newsletters, daily emails and so on -
and being very well compensated.

Becoming a writer begins with a mental picture. And
it continues with one.

The Internet has helped make it FAR easier than ever
before to become a writer - and to use your writing as
a tool to live your dreams.

That's why my most powerful writing techniques are going
to be part of my October seminar on Zero Resistance
Internet Marketing.

I Kicked Him in the Balls

This evening I met with Master Liu, a friend here in China who is the only person in the entire country who knows a particular form of kung fu that develops internal power like no tomorrow. He's 53 years young and doesn't look a day over 35. His muscles are hard as steel and he doesn't have a single wrinkle on his face.

Master Liu is a Taoist who grew up outside the Shaolin Temple in Henan Province. His teacher taught him this form when he was only eight years old. And he has practiced it ever since.

He let me kick him and punch him in the balls as hard as I could. He didn't feel a thing. And I kicked him several times to make sure I wasn't delirious.

We got all this on film. We also have plenty of photos.

Today he showed me even more applications of this form and he knocked me further with less effort than anyone I have ever trained with in my life. He showed how each movement is a death blow and after going through a couple I am thankful we are friends.

I had heard previously that he had fought 64 men in a row and no one lasted more than a few seconds. Such stories sound ridiculous to most people. But I can tell you, I think if you need someone to "mow down" a large group, he's the guy you find.

When we trained this afternoon I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, how fragile the human body is. We think we're made of iron - until we break down. And then we wonder why we're hurt.

One of the things Master Liu stressed was the importance of keeping your skin looking good. Some of the exercises he stressed are part of the Chinese Long-Life System - especially those which involved bringing greater blood flow to the brain.

In a few days I may be putting up a photo of me kicking Master Liu in the gonads. But I need his permission first. I'll keep you posted.

The Workout from Hell

I got up at six this morning to start my day. Grabbed
the Matt Furey Exercise Bible - (a carton-illustrated deck
of poker cards that get you into the best shape of your
life) and began cranking out the reps.

Sweat began to pour of me like water off a dolphin.

Within minutes I was drenched.

Here on Hainan Island it's hot. And it humid. And the
day starts and ends that way. We're talking "the tropics."

After 10 minutes I had a puddle of sweat and I didn't
know if I was going to finish or not.

But it was a battle between ME and the cards - and I don't
like losing to a deck of cards - even if they're named after
me.

So I continued.

Next thing you know I am sopped in sweat. I am blitzed from
head to toe - and in between, too.

In my mind I went back and forth between "I can't do this," and
"Doesn't matter, you're doing it anyway."

I went through two bottles of water. It was grossly insufficient.

I wanted my mommy. I wanted my daddy. I wanted a nipple to
suckle.

I became delirious. I saw Jesus walking across the water. That was
nice.

Then I saw Beelzebub. I didn't like him much.

Then a voice from within told me to picture my "Big Self."

I got the image right - and I finished the workout - come hell,
high water and the sky above me.

I walked inside and collapsed.

"Tomorrow it will be easier," I said to myself.

"That will be good," myself said to I.

This sort of workout is what makes real men great and weak
men scared. But anyone who does it must become a superbly
conditioned human being.

Anyone who does the Matt Furey Exercise Bible for his workout
will soon learn that the mind and body are one. Yes, that's easy to
say when you're sitting on a sofa watching the idiot box.

But when you get on the floor and PROVE it - even when it's tough -
even when you want to quit - that's when you KNOW what you're
saying. You know it because you LIVE it.

If you don't have the Matt Furey Exercise Bible yet - I can't imagine
what is running through your head. I'm giving them away for free
when you enroll in the Matt Furey Inner Circle.

Why I Thru Ten Thousand Bucks Away

Yesterday a man sent me an email telling me that the
price of my October seminar, although valuable, smells
and smacks of "greed."

He believes it should only be about a thousand bucks -
then said he couldn't even afford that price.

I understand the man's position. When you're trying to
climb up the ladder anything that is out of your price
range may smack of greed. But is it.

If you go to a Mercedes dealership, once you look at the
price tag, it is greed or is it the value.

I say "it's the value." Mercedes makes a doggone good
automobile.

Putting cars aside, let's say you enter a Ritz Carlton and
ask for a room. Do you think you're going to get a $29.00
special "we'll leave the light on for you," - and if not - is the
Ritz simply tapping into greed.

Don't think so.

Everything in life has a value - and when it comes to my
seminars, I put the price on it based upon the value being
delivered. But the stunning reality is this: No matter how
much I charge, I always over-deliver on what is promised.

In fact, this past May, at my $5,000.00 per person email
copywriting seminar - people already got full value the
first night at the bonus and gratis seminar on Zero
Resistance Writing.

The two-days the attendees paid for was simply icing on
the cake. I could have charged $10,000.00 per person as
I did a couple years ago and everyone still would have gotten
MORE than their moulah's worth.

Not only that, but never lose sight of the fact that I, Matthew
Furey - expect and demand you to be a little more than a
bump on a log at my seminar. This is why, if you act like a
loser, if you pay and bring a posionous energy into the room
with you - I WILL throw you out.

Why.

Because I don't want poison in my seminar room. I only want
people who really, really want to succeed and are willing to
do what it takes to make it happen.

I realize there are a LOT of you out there. You may be a rare
breed, but you are out there and my message is for YOU.

By the way, I added some more information about my October
event - The Zero Resistance Internet Marketing Seminar to the
web a few mintues ago - and I think you'll be blown away with
what I have to tell you.

What you'll be reading, incidentally, isn't really what I'd call

I intend to deliver to YOU so that you can go to the next level of
success in your life and business.

Shocking News About China

The other day I read a good many emails sent in about China and some of the views I have expressed about it; views based on personal experience. Not opinions formed from reading or listening to the media or from groups who believe the entire world should operate the way "they see it."

Many people wrote in to praise the emails I've written, saying they're my best ever; others wrote to refute, some to scold, a few to "shame" me, saying I'm no longer the forthright, straightforward person I make myself out to be. There were two emails that claimed I'm a pawn for the Chinese government.

And then, the best email of all was the one I received from Suzanne, who demanded an apology from me. Here's what she wrote:

You know, Matthew, we list readers are still waiting for your apology for sending pictures of
your children enjoying the sunshine in Tiannamen Square on the very day the news broke
out around the world how the Chinese government so controls information in China, that a
poor newspaper clerk was in hot water for accidently accepting a classified ad merely
paying tribute to the mothers of the June 4th 1989 massacre IN Tiannamen Square. Why?
Because she didn't KNOW ABOUT IT. She was just too young, and it's simply been erased
from the Chinese history books. And they want to erase it from the web too.

And when did you send it? Almost exactly on the anniversary of that massacre, no less.

Tiananmen: the pain that won't go away

China Bans Flickr Over Tiananmen Photos

Tell me, Matthew - do YOUR Chinese children know about the massacre in Tiananmen
Square? and how the same parties who committed it are still in power?? Even the
freedom of religion thing is a joke -- since the government picks the clergy, rather than the
faithful. Some very recent headlines:

7-Jun-07: Chinese Underground Bishop Arrested Again (B)

22-May-07: Rioting Over Family-planning Drive in Chinese Province (B)

22-May-07: Vatican Demands China Acknowledge Pope's Power to Name Bishops (B)

17-May-07: Two Underground Priests in China Receive Prison Sentences (N)

We all love China, but it has a long way to go in the freedom department, and if you are just
too arrogant to admit that, I find myself having a hard time justifying continuing to read your
letters. I used to love your straightforwardness Matthew. It was what allowed me to buy
from you several times. But it's missing now.

I'll wait a day or two to see if you address this Chinese / honesty thing, but if it is as ignored
as the massacre itself, after several years of being a faithful reader, I'll just unsubscribe
myself. I suspect I am not the only one.

Honesty was what sold you, Matthew. Don't lose it now.

Sincerely,

Suzanne
Tucson, AZ

M.F.: Suzanne, thanks so much for your email. I can see this is a very hot and volatile issue for you, as well as many others. I have published your entire email along with links for others to do their own research. Even so, I DO think I have a very different perspective than those who rely on the media for ALL their information on China.

I LIVE here 3-4 months out of the year. My wife is Chinese and I have greater depth of knowledge about what goes on here than you might think or assume. For example, I am obviously writing this email from China - and allowing ALL of your links. Do you think this is going to land me in jail? I don't think so. Do you think I have ever discussed Tiananmen with my in-laws, my wife and my son? Or do you think I'm afraid to because there is "no freedom" here?

Truth: When my son and I were walking in Tiananmen Square I told him about it. He asked many questions. I answered as best I could. Then we enjoyed the freedom that he and I and everyone else enjoys there by squatting and doing exercises with the Matt Furey Exercise Bible. We focused on the "here and now" - not what happened 18 years ago that neither he nor I can do anything about. The fact that the email was published near the date of Tianamen Square was most certainly NOT done on purpose. Do I need to apologize for this? I hardly think so. I didn't kill anyone there - and I don't believe I have to grieve about it.

But I'll tell you what, I WILL apologize for doing pushups on Tiananmen Square if Presidents Bush and Clinton apologize for giving "most favored nation" trading status to China during and after T.S. Not to mention bringing Chinese leaders to the U.S. for a grand tour - after T.S. Not to mention visiting T.S. themselves.

So you know, I have been coming to China since 1993. At that time, based on what I observed, there was very little freedom. Things were tightly controlled - but I'm told they were greatly improved from the days of Tiananmen Square four years earlier.

My second trip was in 1997 for the World Shuai-chiao kung fu championships. I was shocked at how much had changed in four years - eight years after T.S.

My wife and I, along with my son, began making twice yearly voyages in 2001 and each and every time we come here we are amazed at the growth, the changes, the increased freedom, etc. I never feel confined in any way. I have never gone to a sauna and been asked to leave like I was in Japan (for having a tattoo).

For the record, you can own a business in China. You can also own a home and a car. I own a luxurious condo here and have a car as well. Both of my children go to school when they are here. They are not being brought up as "commies." Nor are they in a repressive learning environment.

There is still a great deal of improvement to be made in China - and there are many things I don't like - but the things I love far outweigh the bad. I have written frankly about the bad in the past (the excessive smoking, the staring, the nosiness, the doting waitresses, and so on) and I'm certain that will continue as it is entertaining to many.

On another note: In 1998, I was unable to engage people in political conversation, unless it was about the U.S.A. - or unless I wanted to begin an argument over Taiwan or Tibet. But whenever I brought up Chairman Mao (whom I don't care for) or the current leaders in China, no one dared utter a word. Even when we were driving on the highway in a car and no one was around.

In 2001-2002, I noticed the "fear" was gone. Not only would people talk openly in cars - but in restaurants. I could sit at a table and listen as others made jokes about various leaders, very high in command. I was surprised at the change - especially when told that people regularly "text messaged" one another to make political jokes and wise cracks about various leaders.

Does this mean China is becoming a democracy? No. Does it mean that the people have ALL the same freedoms we have in the U.S.? No. What it does mean, at least to me, is that China has made HUGE STRIDES forward, in spite of whatever news feeds you're reading that paint only ONE SIDE of the story,

As for religious freedom, you appear to be 100% convinced that there isn't any. I'm not going to argue this point, other than to say you can find thousands of churches in China, Christian, Buddhist and Moslem, where people enjoy religious freedom and are NOT persecuted - NOR are all the churches government controlled.

If I want to be a Christian, Buddhist or Moslem in China, I believe I can do so and not suffer in the least.

This completes my answer to your email, other than to say that the threat of not buying any of my products in the future is not something that frightens me. I would hope you understand that I am hardly worried about my next meal. I write and speak my mind without fear of losing business. That's the way I was when I didn't have two nickels to rub together and I'm still that way today. I am true to myself and what I believe and if you think I've sold out somewhere - well, that's your opinion.

I do appreciate the fact that you have been a customer and if you choose to continue, I'm happy to have ya.

Listen to Your Gut

You've heard about having an intuitive flash - or a gut feeling. But most likely it has never been explained to you quite the same way my friend, Jeremiah Perez, will tell it to you. The guy truly has a way with words and I think you'll find his writing both entertaining and informative. Incidentally, although this article is written for those who are interested in martial arts and fighting, there is a lot of information in this that will prove beneficial to ALL of you. Read on and enjoy.

Matthew Furey

To Trust, or Not to Trust Your Gut... That is the Question.
by Jeremiah Perez

You might think I'm talking to you about the urge to eat that third piece of pie after you've already had a four course meal...but I'm not.

I'm talking to you about what some would say is your second brain and no the size of your gut doesn't determine how smart your second brain is because if that were the case you'd see beer belly braniacs making scientific breakthroughs.

And you know that's not so since most can barely figure out how to keep their ass crack from showing as that flab of fat pushes their pants down towards their ankles.

So I'm actually talking to you about your INNER gut.

You know the one that fills full of butterflies as you're waiting in line for a roller coaster or it sends warning signals to you when you "somehow" un-explain ably know something is wrong.

Your stomach and brain have a very strong relationship with good communication skills and that's because the stomach has millions of nerve cells which makes it seem like it has a mind of it's own.( if you're a male you can probably include another body part which seems to have the same talent only it tends to get you in trouble from time to time.)

Your gut is a safer body part to listen too.

When it comes to your mind body connection and you talk about whether or not the brain controls the body or the body controls the brain trying to figure out who's boss is the proverbial which came first the chicken or the egg debate.

If you put your hand on the table and you mentally go to your happy place while thinking good thoughts as someone shoots a nail through your hand your body will scream at your brain in a very loud and clear manner.

Yet on the flip-side there are monks who can think themselves into being conduits of heat and energy so immense they can sit in the snow high up in the mountains with a wet sheet
wrapped around their naked bodies and evaporate every last water droplet until the sheet is bone dry before taking an over night nap in the freezing cold surrounded by man eating tigers that wont touch them with a ten foot pole.

In the end of it all, the body and the brain are together and separate at he same time and when it comes to your SIXTH sense and second brain they all have to work together.

As I worked in the world of bodyguarding this was crucial for avoiding even little mistakes which could cost your clients their lives and the same applies to fighting more than one person at the same time.

Sometimes your brain does the talking and sometimes it's your gut's that lead the way.

Your brain needs to have the information that fine tunes awareness and your physical body needs the moves that Breaks, Stops and Drops attackers quickly and easily so you can have the guts to Kick some serious ass no matter how many of them there are.

Proven Fighting Moves is busting at the seams with real world awareness that takes you on a journey into the darkness of a criminals mind so you can stay ten steps ahead of the sick and twisted games they play and it gives you the easiest tactics that stops attackers dead in their tracks even if your fighting more than one person at the same time.

And YES it'll work for you too.

Otherwise I would have called it I-think-it-might-work-fighting-moves instead of Proven Fighting Moves. Order NOW!.

Better than Murphy's Law

"Some things take longer than you expected - but only because
you make things harder than they are. What goes wrong oftentimes
isn't. It usually leads to something better."

- Matthew Furey, 2007

The above is something I thought about a few weeks ago,
when I stepped on Chinese soil for the "umpteenth ... or more"
time.

I came over here with a long list of "things to do." Many of
them are writing projects: newsletters, promos, product
outlines, books, courses, special reports and so on.

The list never endeth - it seems. And that's the way I like it.

While many things have already been accomplished - more items
have been added to the list.

Such is the life of an entrepreneur - if he or she is successful.

We have more than four burners on our stoves. We have at least
eight - and that's only from one kitchen.

Oftentimes what happens is we begin cooking one dish, then the
idea for another dish comes to mind and we begin cooking that one,
too.

Then another dish comes to mind. And another. And another.

Next thing you know you have all eight burners going. At this point
you realize you're making things more complicated than they need
to be. You realize, "Hey, I can only do one thing at a time. In fact,
I can only think about one thing at a time. So what is the one thing
I need to focus on and DO right now."

Oddly enough, it may be something other than what you'd want to
focus on right now. Perhaps a deadline is coming on one of your
projects - and you've got to get things done or you'll suffer conse-
quences you don't want.

I guess this is my "brief" explanation as to why I still don't have the
promo up for my October seminar. I figured it would be three days
when I sent the last email to you about it. Well, it's been longer.
At the same time, I assure you that the delay is a good thing -
and when you read the lead for the event, you'll know what I mean.

I realize many of you are chomping at the bit to enroll, and that's
before I reveal all the details about the seminar.

So I'm thankful for that.

At the same time I do want to show you part of what I have in store
for you, so I'm going to have Eddie Baran - my webmaster - put the l
ead for this event on the website for you.

I think it'll make you hungry for MORE. In fact, I know it will.

So don't delay - go to http://knockoutmarketing.com/life_change.html
and begin reading NOW.

This May Prevent Cancer

Back before apple peel became the big news it is today, my friend Dave Copeland licensed a groundbreaking patent from Cornell (written with an emphasis on cancer treatment, by the way) for drying apple peels, and created a supplement called AppleBoost. Unlike pharmaceutical drugs, AppleBoost doesn't just address a single condition or organ or system. It does all kinds of beneficial things for the body, as Dave mentions in the article below. If you want to make AppleBoost a part of your health regimen (and I recommend that you do), order a supply today at AppleBoost.com. I think what he has written will REALLY open your eyes. Read on and you"ll quickly discover why.

Matthew Furey

CBS News: "Apple peel is good for you!"

by Dave Copeland

The media has an amazing ability to report on the obvious. Nonetheless, it"s refreshing that they"re finally starting to get it about what really makes for healthful eating. In mid-May, CBS News ran a story on the nutritional power of apple peel. (Yes, they actually consider this news.) They reported on a recent study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. Using 24 pounds of apple peels generated from 231 pounds of whole apples, researchers extracted the phytochemical content and analyzed it.

Their findings: the peel of the apple has far more antioxidant activity and anti-cancer cell proliferation properties than the flesh of the apple. In fact, the phytochemicals in apple peel were especially effective against human colon, liver, and breast cancer cells.

The study conclusion? Apple peel "should be regarded as a rich source of nutrients and antioxidants."

Well, duh.

Apple peel is high in phenolics, particularly flavonoids which are a subtype of phenolics. You"ve probably heard mention of quercetin before. It"s one of the main flavonoids found in apple peel, and studies show it to possess powerful anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory activities.

The Mayo Clinic found that quercetin helps protect against prostate cancer. Phenolic-rich foods, according to the National Cancer Institute, reduce the risk of lung cancer. Other studies have shown that apples promote healthy lung function and reduce the risk of asthma. A number of studies suggest that apple peel protects against neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimers. And it just goes on and on.

This isn"t really news, folks. I"ve been saying this for years, as have many others who are a whole lot smarter than me. When it comes to fruits and vegetables, the more color it has, the better it is for you. In apples, that"s the peel. It"s a no brainer. If you aren"t eating at least 9 or 10 servings of brightly colored fruits and veggies a day (including a couple of apples), then whole food supplements - NOT phytochemical or vitamin isolates - can fill in the gap for you.

Order AppleBoost today at AppleBoost.com.

My Opinion of Exercise Mats

Over the past few months, beginning with my February "Secret of Secrets" Fitness Seminar - many of you noticed that I bridge and do other Combat Conditioning exercises on an exercise mat you haven't seen before.

You're written in to ask about it. Here's my answer: The PowerMat - that's what it's called - is the best, most portable, most durable and most flexible mat I have ever exercised on - and I've been on a LOT.

I realize it's tough finding an exercise mat that doesn't roll, wrinkle, or move around like those flimsy yoga mats.

The mat I've been secretly testing is made of some kind of high-tech memory foam that you really have to feel to believe. It's a strange blend of firm and soft (sounds a bit sexy, I know - but it's true).

Truth is I never thought I'd find a better workout mat than a wrestling mat. This used to be true. Now I have one that I can and do take with me on my world travels.

This means: No more workouts on filthy hotel carpets and no more carpet burns.

Most importantly: No excuses for missing a workout.

So if you want improved motivation, increased endurance, and a POWER workout, then get your rumpus to www.bridgingmat.com right now, and check out my favorite Mat: the PowerMat.

Best,

What I Bought My Son

My son, Frank, turned 7 yesterday.

When he woke up before school I asked him if he
wanted to open his birthday presents now rather
than later.

"YESSSS. Right NOW," he said.

I went into my office in our brand spanking new
condo here on Hainan Island in China - and grabbed
the two FEDEX boxes I kept in hiding. Then I grabbed
a pocket knife and began helping Frank open his
presents.

The first item, an auto-graphed Joe Montana football.

Frank went nuts.

The second item, a framed and autographed print of
Joe Montana - with arms raised overhead signaling
another victorious touchdown pass.

Now, perhaps you're wondering why I got Frank gifts
like these. Two reasons:

1. He likes Joe Montana a lot. He's his favorite football
player to study and watch.

2. I realize the value of surrounding oneself with images
of success. Having something autographed by a legend
puts successful energy in your surroundings. And having
a picture of a legend hanging on your walls - especially
when he's celebrating the thrill of victory - well, how can
you beat THAT for a positive image to implant in your
mind.

When I was a young lad growing up in Iowa, I had dreams
of becoming a champion wrestler. My walls were plastered
with posters and pictures of the superstars of the sport.
And my library was filled with books that gave me the keys
to what made these men successful.

In short, I created an environment that fed my creative
imagination; an environment that continually reminded
me of what I wanted to accomplish.

My friend, Pete Lillo - aka Pete the Printer, and I have
often talked about the importance of having success
symbols in your surroundings. Photos of great people
whom you admire give you energy for your daily thoughts;
they keep you focused on the qualities that make for
greatness.

In the world around us we are surrounded by images of
failure. On the daily news we see glorification and am-
plification of everything "bad." If you don't have a tragedy
of some sort to report, chances are it won't make the
news.

Sad but true.

This is why it's vitally important to continually feed your mind
mental pictures of success.

It's no mistake, then, that on the top of each and every poker card
in the Matt Furey Exercise Bible, you'll see the cartoon character of
me smiling, like Joe Montana, with my arms raised overhead in
victory. The purpose for this particular pose is self-evident. I put it
there for YOU to draw energy from. I put it there so that when you use
the deck of cards to train, you are continually focused on visions of
victory.

Will it help you?

Guaranteed.

Those who are using the Matt Furey Exercise Bible are stunned at
how fast their body is changing. Within a few workouts you will see
and feel a difference when you look in the mirror. No hype. No
exaggeration. Just the facts.

There are some exercises you can do day and night and you'll hardly
notice a change in your physical appearance. Naturally, I left all of those
exercises OUT of the Matt Furey Exercise Bible.

Make sure you get one NOW. They're FREE to the next 99 people - then
everyone else will have to pay dearly to get a deck.

So make sure you go to http://www.mattfurey.com/inner_circle.html and become

Did I Make ANOTHER Mistake

A few weeks ago I sent you information about a trading
program - and as a result our offices were drenched
with emails.

I was absolutely shocked myself as I have never made a
recommendation that caught the attention of so many
people so quickly.

People wanted to know if the offer is legit. If I sent the email.
If I'm off my rocker. If I use the program. If I truly endorse
the program. If you can get your money back if the program
doesn't meet your expectations, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
etc. etc. etc. etc.

Although I could go on and on about what I do or don't do -
here's the only answer I'm going to give - and it IS
completely factual and it is the only answer that matters:

The company who is promoting and selling the product -
the one I gave the link to - is literally accosted day and
night from people around the world who hope they will
do a promotion for their product or service. This company,
Early to Rise, Inc. - refuses almost everyone who wants
a helping hand in the promotion of their products.

I, also, am approached, day and night, by people who want
my help. Once again, I refuse almost all as I have a group of
over 150 men and women whom I coach and THEY get my
help and attention.

And so, if this opportunity crashed ETR's doors - as well as
mine - with all the barriers we have erected to keep virtually
everyone out - then it MUST be one doggone good program.

One person asked about refunds and what if everyone who
bought the product felt scammed and ripped off and ALL
wanted their money back immediately.

Good question.

And the answer is simple. You would get a refund.

Furthermore, if for some reason your were NOT refunded
the money you paid for the program - I will go on record
to say that if you returned the program in the 30-day period
allotted, and you weren't granted a refund by ETR, you can
contact my office and I, Matthew Furey, will refund your
money for the purchase of THEIR product.

Now, how is THAT for a vote of confidence.

Again, if you're unhappy, I have 100% assurance that you
will be reimbursed 100%. Second, if for some unforeseen
reason you weren't, then count on ME to handle the situation
for you - provided you abide by the 30 day grace period.

And so, I think this is all you really need to know.

If the program doesn't work - send it back and get a refund.

But if it does, then perhaps you'll be happy as hell that I made
this recommendation.

A good many Furey Faithful got the program and we have only
heard positive things said about it.

YES, I've gone out on a limb here. Sure, some people only want
me to recommend fitness - but the fact is that based on the
sheer volume of emails - as well as ORDERS for this program -
I take it that a lot of people are damn glad I made the "reco."

Once again, fitness is not just physical. Get fit in every way,
physically, spiritually and financially. They're all the same
in my book.

Dream Visit for American in Beijing

Last night I met with, Greg Fleisner, a long-time Matt Furey Inner Circle member who teaches English here in Beijing. He's been living here for over a year and loved my blog on freedom in China. He sent an email to our fulfillment house, run by Carol Brown, stating his desire to meet with me, if possible. She forwarded it on to me.

I considered the matter deeply whilst reading Greg's email and because I could sense a good vibe coming from him, I agreed to meet with him at 6 PM. After I extended the invitation he showed at my hotel with his Chinese friend, Maggie. We quickly ordered watermelon juice and began talking. 90 minutes later, after much talk about tai chi, chi kung, nei gong and so on, I realized I was getting hungry, so we moved to the buffet and continued talking.

As I was drinking yet another watermelon juice, Maggie said: "I have a question for you. I want to know why you like watermelon so much."

I nodded and gave no answer. She didn't ask again.

One of the reasons is simple and I've told it to MFIC'ers for some time. Watermelon is loaded with Lycopene. Good for the prostate. Puts lead in the pencil. Naturally, there are other reasons, but the most important one, for men, is enough reason. Agreed?

Around 9 PM I noted the open back pack sitting next to Maggie. Inside was a copy of Combat Conditioning. Naturally, it was unsigned as I rarely autograph books. Only at special events or seminars. Well, our meeting was a special event, so I said: "Would you like some ink from me on your copy?"

Matthew Furey

Matthew Furey Signs Greg's Combat Conditioning

"I'd love that," said Greg, as he whipped out a red Sharpie.

"I think this pen is better," said Maggie, who held out a black Bic pen.

"Unnnh," I grunted.

"I don't think so," said Greg.

I grabbed the lucky red Sharpie and wrote a brief message to Greg. Then I tore a blank page from my journal and scribbled a note to Maggie. She liked it so much she placed it inside the book.

Then, as Greg was continually bragging about Maggie's ma bu (horse stance) we persuaded her to demonstrate. Right in the middle of the restaurant she got up, with much urging, and sat in this stance. Being a ham I jumped into the lime light as well - thrust one leg upward and dropped into a one-legged horse stance.

Matthew Furey

Matthew's one-legged horse and Maggie's ma bu

After this I said: "Can you do a 1-arm Hindu pushup?"

"That's not possible," said Maggie.

Greg laughed, knowing it most certainly was.

So I dropped to the floor and did a 1-arm Hindu pushup.

"Oh my gawd," said Maggie.

"This is the sort of thing you can work up to when you follow my program. Don't just do yoga. That's good - but never forget that the yoga came from Indian wrestlers. They stole it from us wrestlers," I joked.

"Not stole, Copied," said Maggie.

Greg said: "Copied? Everything is copied."

I laughed.

At 9:30 we called it a night. Twas a great visit. Superb energy.

As I travel around the world I look forward to meeting more and more Matt Furey Inner Circle members. Make sure you're one of them. The perks for being a member are HUGE and they're expiring soon. Jump in NOW while the free offers are still good.

Furey Goes to Church in China

Three days ago I sent out a 'True or False' email directing you to this blog, wherein I wrote about freedom (or lack thereof) in China. If you'll recall, my blog post was an answer to D.W.'s email - which addressed Tiananmen Square and freedom of travel, specifically (you can view it by scrolling this page).

The amount of correspondence this post generated was astounding. Many of you, including D.W. - who said he would delete any emails with the words "China" unanswered - wrote me with short as well as very long dispatches. I thank all of you for your messages, even though a good many were laced with barbs, attacks and 'commie' innuendo. One person went so far as to say I'm a shill for the Chinese government. HA!

For the record, I am no shill for anyone.

At the same time I will report the truth, as I have EXPERIENCED it. Not the truth I heard. Nor the truth that happened 20 or 30 years ago - or longer - during Maoist times or during the Cultural Revolution. In the event that I am reporting something I have not directly experienced - I will do my best to preface it with "I have heard" - or "Although I have no direct experience of such and such ..." This helps keeps everything in line with what I believe I truly know and can vouch for.

In many of the emails I received there was a common thread. This thread had to do with the so-called lack of religious freedom in China. In most cases it had to do with lack of freedom to profess Christian beliefs and/or being jailed, persecuted or beaten for said beliefs. A few dealt with the Falun Gong cult that was squashed and a few were about Tibetan Buddhism.

Matthew Furey

At St. Joseph's Church, Beijing, China.

Today, I will address Christian freedom.

This morning I got up at 6 a.m., showered and dressed. I then went to St. Joseph's Church on Wang Fu Jing Da Jie. I entered the church and found a few hundred people present, all on their knees waiting for the service to begin. Along the walls of the church were paintings depicting the "Stations of the Cross."

Matthew Furey

Pictures depicting the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus

Funny, I think, because I had heard, before attending this service, that people in China were not allowed to have Bibles, could not even utter the name "Jesus" and those who did so were jailed, beaten and tortured.

Why is it, then, that I was one of the few foreigners in this church? Why no police ready to arrest me and everyone else? Why was the name of Jesus spoken in this church, openly, by the priest and the parishioners? Why was the priest reading from the Christian Bible during the service?

The reason, via my direct experience, is simple. You ARE allowed to practice Christianity in China. You are also allowed to practice Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Islam, Taoism and so on. By the way, in many areas I have visited in China, you will find a good many Muslims, as well as mosques. You will also find some of the very best food served in China at Muslim restaurants, which I often go to as they appear to know, better than anyone else, how to cook lamb.

Matthew Furey

The Chinese Confessional

Does the above mean that no one has ever suffered for his or her religious beliefs in China? NO.

Does the above mean that you can use your religion in China for political gain without facing some consequences? NO.

You may describe this as "lack" of freedom - yet I have heard that an American, cannot say whatever he wants whenever he wants to without repercussions, either.

For example, can an American threaten the life of a U.S. President without being jailed?

Can an American go to an airport and say he has a bomb or a gun - then laugh and say, "I was joking," - without being arrested?

Did Americans, during the McCarthy era, for example, have total freedom to say or do anything, without consequences?

Not only that, but if you think there's lack of freedom in Tiananmen Square, then I only want to ask: Are Americans free to walk past the White House anymore?

In the future I will address more questions that have been brought to my attention, such as, the single-child per family policy, freedom of travel to foreign countries, and so on.

In the interim, make sure you exercise one of your most basic freedoms, the freedom to take care of your health. Yes, your body is the ultimate temple for your mind and your spirit.

Never forget this truth.

Also, right now, we currently have only 98 more Matt Furey Exercise Bibles to give to new members of the Matt Furey Inner Circle. This deck of poker cards containing the top four exercises in Combat Conditioning, are catching on like a fire gone wild. So sprint over to the offer I have for you on my site and become a member today.

Chinese Have No Freedom - True or False

Yesterday I received an email from a man who told me to make sure to put the word
'China' or 'Chinese' in the subject line of emails that talk about China - so he can
delete them before opening.

Here's what he wrote:

Hey, Matt!
While you were exercising at the famous square, did you observe any tanks squishing any Chinese citizens -- who would have liked to have the freedom to travel as you do?

Recommendation: Stop including China, which is STILL being herded by obnoxious, hideous, commie thugs, in your iteneraries. Alternatively, if you plan to use China as a setting, please include some reference to China in the subject-lines of your e-mail messages so that I may delete the e-mail before opening. You know, you could try using Taiwan for future promotionals -- at least until the mainland thugs take over that FREE nation.

D.W.

My response: D.W., I thank you for your email. I read it to my brother and sister-in-law, who live in China. They enjoyed it very much. My brother-in-law did point out that there were many Chinese people gathered around in Tiananmen Square watching us train. I said: "In America we have a saying, 'Don't bother me with facts because my mind is already made up.'"

By the way, and I realize you don't really care, but said bro-in-law and sis-in-law picked us up in Shanghai, flew with us to Ningxia, are with us in Beijing and will go with us wherever else we want to travel in China. They also own their own home, have their own business and just bought a brand new Japanese car. The car alone was 35K.

They are free to travel anywhere in China they want and so is pretty much everyone else. The only places in which special visas are needed are Hong Kong - and as far as I'm concerned that's a good thing. Already too many people living in Hong Kong, much less visiting, and for the most part the H.K. people are the rudest in the entire world. This statement has been confirmed by news reports as well - I believe approximately one year ago.

I have been visiting China since 1993. Upon my first visit life here was very, very different. Each time I go back I am amazed. The Chinese are more capitalistic than Americans. In fact, I'd say it's not even close. As for communism and socialism, I think there may be enough for you to concern yourself with back in the U.S.

The main issue is whether you're going to live in the past or in the present. If I lived in the past I would not have visited Japan this year. Nor would I have friends who are English or German or Italian. If I lived in the past I would not visit China - nor would I visit Waco, Texas, or Kent State, for that matter.

Yes, the Chinese government has done many things that neither of us agree with. But that doesn't make all the people living here bad - nor does it make you good because you pointed the finger.

Now, as for focusing on the present, here's a photo of an 85-year old Chinese lady who is enjoying a lot of freedom. Check out her flexibility. Notice her leg on the tree and the position of her head. If you know anything about the mind/body connection, you would know that you cannot enjoy this level of flexibility without simultaneously having an open mind. Old tensions are stored in the hamstrings. It appears this lady has none.

Secret Message On Great Wall

Nearly 10 years ago, December 22, 1997, to be more accurate, my wife and I visited the Great Wall of China for the first time. Yesterday, some 10 years later, we visited with our kids, Frank, 7, and Faith, 3. What a thrill.

Furey Family visits the Great Wall

I remember when I visited the first time. My mind was so preoccupied with winning the world championships in Shuai-chiao kung fu, that I never really took in the magnificence of the moment. All concentration was on the future. Even the act of visiting the Great Wall was a dedicated act - designed to further motivate me to accomplish something BIG - a goal bigger than myself; something that would live on in my memory as a positive event.

Five days later, my goal was realized. I would return to America as a world champion.

This visit was different and not just because I was there with my children. It was different because I was there to express gratitude for the good that has happened in my life since my first visit AS WELL AS to teach my children how you can accomplish anything, even something as big as building a Great Wall, if you'll picture it in your mind's eye, make a plan and dedicate yourself to following through with whatever action is necessary to make it a reality.

The Great Wall is a Universe unto itself. It pulls people to come visit from all corners of the earth.

At the same time, YOU are your IDEAS are a Universe unto itself. When you picture things BIG and put a lot of energy into what you're picturing, you can draw people to you who will help you - and where they come from will often surprise you.

Many of you discovered what I have to teach through seemingly strange means. And when you've followed my programs you came to understand that there was a reason we met - even if in a virtual sort of way.

Keep this in mind as you continue on your journey.

Visit power spots in the world. And when you visit, mentally write a secret message on the walls. Write your future where no one but YOU will see it and remember it. Then, when your vision becomes a reality, make a return visit to give thanks and to re-dedicate yourself to an even brighter future.

Tiananmen Square Combat Conditioning

This morning my son, Frank, and I went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China. Even at 6 a.m. there were a lot of people walking around. Some were flying kites, others just out for a stroll. And of course there were merchants who had goods for sale - mostly of the 2008 Olympic kind.

Frank and I found a quiet spot in the square that wasn't too populated. I dropped to one knee, cut the deck of 52 poker cards now known to the Furey Faithful as the Matt Furey Exercise Bible, and began our routine.

Both of us were still a bit sore from yesterday's workout in Ningxia province - but once you get the blood pumping, the soreness fades into the distance. Not only that, bt because you're doing your workout in a unique way - with a deck of playing cards - that just so happen to have this cartoon character on them - with the exact exercises you're supposed to do - along with the number of repetitions - it isn't difficult to begin drawing a crowd.

In the picture enclosed with this email you can see Frank doing Tablemaker Pushups whilst I'm doing Hindu squats. Directly in front of us you can see a nice crowd beginning to gather. And this was merely at the start of the routine.

Matthew Furey and son Frank training in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China

When you have this many people watching you don't want to be a sissy, that's for sure - so you finish the whole deck no matter what. That's what we did and afterward it was Hi-5 city along with a Joe Montana-esque "Hey, I just threw a touchdown pass" pose.

After we finished our training Frank asked: "Daddy, how many kids my age are using your exercise bible?"

I said: "Not enough yet, bro. Not enough. But Father's Day is coming soon - so this could be the very thing that will help more fathers inspire their kids to get super hero fit."

"What if the man who buys it doesn't have any kids?" asked Frank.

I said: "That problem can be easily solved if he gets the Matt Furey Exercise Bible. It'll put more lead in his pencil than he's ever had before."

"What does that mean?" asked Frank.

I said: "Son, that's a discussion for another day. It'll be here before you know it."

Well, that's my report for you today. I'll be posting more photos on my blog on a regular basis, too. So be sure to check in there each day, too.

Oh, and before I forget, we're down to 249 decks of the Matt Furey Exercise Bible left. If you want to get one - you better JUMP on this pronto.

Father and Son Workout

Yesterday I sent out an explosive email about my all-new deck of poker cards - and I told you how a simple deck of these cards can be used to get you into incredible shape very, very fast.

Well, it's obvious that a ton of you jumped on the offer to get a free copy of the Matt Furey Exercise Bible.

Why?

Because we're down to less than 300 decks of this special "Combat Conditioning" workout.

I'm sure glad I brought a deck with me to China. This morning my son, Frank, and I were up bright and squirrel-y to go through the deck, and we quickly attracted a number of gawkers. Just take a look at a couple of the photos taken when we began. As you look at these father-and-son shots I'm sure you can figure out a way to put this card deck to great use with your son, grandson, daughter or anyone else you coach.

How to Get Fit Playing Poker

Years ago, when I was a collegiate wrestler at the University of Iowa, our coach, the legendary Dan Gable, an Olympic champion in 1972 - had a workout for us that we called "pushup poker."

You'd deal a card and crank out the number of pushups on the card - then you deal another, and so on, until you'd completed the entire deck.

Twas a grand workout and it got your upper body strong incredibly fast. But think of this - it was only ONE exercise - and it left much of your body wondering, "What about me?"

After college I trained with a pro wrestler and he told me about an exercise program he developed with a simple deck of playing cards. His students in Japan referred to it as their Bible.

It proved to be a great routine consisting of Hindu Pushups and Hindu Squats.

But once again, it was only two exercises and although both are mega powerful - something MORE was needed to create the perfect, totally balanced bodyweight fitness program.

So I got to thinking about having the perfect routine for virtually anyone. And once I came up with it I didn't just test it out - I decided to make things even easier for you and me to follow the routine. Read the rest of the story here...
