The Trump Card

It's New Year's Eve here in the Big Apple and I'm
looking forward to tonight's festivities. To celebrate
I'll be knocking out 2008 something or others - followed
by 208 pushups.

After that I'm going to have my list of things I'm thankful
for from 2007 - and my list of things to zero in on
in 2008.

Maybe you can join me - in spirit.

Having a goal - a vision - is the starting point of all success.
At the same time, being grateful for the tools you already
have adds fuel to your desire - helping you create it faster.

All creation starts by using your memory, mixing it with
your imagination - then dumping energy onto what you
want with deep breathing and enthusiasm.

Set NO New Year's Resolutions. Instead, set New Year's
Goals. Things you're going to accomplish in the coming
year. Not things you say you're going to stop doing.

There's a big difference between having a New Year's
Resolution to stop smoking and one in which you're
going to run your first marathon. Focus on the marathon
and you'll probably end up tossing the cigs so you can
run better.

To help you achieve your goals faster than ever before
I'm going to be launching my Success 2008 Coaching
Program in a few days. Get ready as demand for this
program will be HUGE - but the number of people I c
an take as students will be very limited.

If you'd like to get a head start on the others vying for
position in the Success 2008 Coaching Program - then
send an email to my office and we'll be sure to send you
a copy of - The Trump Card - a special report that makes
other success programs obsolete.

More to come ...

Patriots Lose

Is today's headline my prediction of tonight's game.

Not a chance. After the Gii-ants lost to the Skins last
week I'm betting on the Patriots. So is my son, Frank,
who wears his Tom Brady jersey during all the games.

I'll be watching the game with him from our hotel room
here in New Yourk - and we'll be doing Hindu squats and
Hindu pushups after every New England touchdown.

And if by chance the Gii-ants score a single point - we'll
punish ourselves by pulling out chest hairs. Frank doesn't
have any yet - and unlike the greased-up, oily pretty boy
bodybuilders, I ain't shaved from head to toe. Just my face
and noggin tis enough, me thinks.

Now that some of you are inflamed and ready to curse me,
let it be known that I really don't care who wins. I'm really
a fan of a great game - nothing more. So if the Giii-ants
do happen to win - I'll be crappy for them.

I'll be doing Combat Conditioning no matter what.

And you ... http://mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html

Get in now. The Super Bowl is quickly approaching and you'll
want to be able to hang with me about then. There's no value
in going through life being a couch potato or computer butt.

No kidding.

No guts - no putz.

Get cracking and life will reward you with greater energy and
tons of pizzazz.

New Yourk, New Yourk

The other day I sent an email out about my 2005 Email
Copywriting Workshop - the one that was 10K a pop.

The response to this email was pretty awesome - so
Carol in fulfillment asked me if there was anywhere
online people could go to place the order.

"No," I said. "The course has never been made available
before."

"Could a link be created," she wondered.

I said: "There's no copy about the product online at all -
and I'm vacationing right now in New Yourk, New Yourk,
and not about to make time to write some, so why don't
we put up the emailI sent the other day with an order button."

"Good idea," she said.

"Not only that, why don't we sweeten the offer by
including a HUGE gift - unannounced - to ALL who
order today."

"Oooh, I like that," she said.

So, here's the situation: We're only going to let a few
of these Fure-cats out of the bag. They ain't cheap -
yet they deliver value day in and day out. You follow
what I teach on these CDs and your business will take
off like a space shuttle. You'll soar far above where you
are right now.

I'm giving you the link from the email two days ago. You'll
have to scroll a bit to see the order button. Here's the link:

http://knockoutmarketing.com/email_marketing.html

Go there now.

Again, those who order today will receive an unannounced
premium that is worth a fortune in an of itself, too. You'll
be stunned when you receive it.

P.S. Later today or tomorrow I'll be sending out information on
my 2008 Mistakes to Success Coaching Program. You'll want
to jump on it pronto if you want to get a seat.

5 Minutz to Fitnuss

It seems illogical at first. We think that hours and
hours per day are needed to get fit. Yet this is only
true if you want it to be true.

Personally, I enjoy going for long walks and hikes.
I like to train in kung fu and grappling for an hour
or more. But this fact does nothing but scare your
average coach potato deeper into his seat.

He's got hours per day before the idiot box - and he'll
swear he's too busy to do this that and the other. Yet
how'd he find so much time to keep up on worldly
events but still "no time" to keep up with his own body.

Strange, but true.

This is why it's important to lure the average person
out of his chair with one minute of exercise - even
better is five minutes.

The skeptical may think this is not enough time to
change the course of your life - yet it most certainly
is.

Give me someone glued to the couch or the computer
for five minutes and I'll change the person's life. I'll
have him huffing and puffing. I'll have sweat pouring down
his face. And when the first session is done and over the
person will SMILE, laugh and thank me for the torture.

I'll be giving him what he wants deep inside. A thorough
and complete arse kicking.

How can this be done in five minutes. Simple.

First, we start with Hindu Pushups. If you're a slug, seal or
whale I bet you can't do 10 - much less five. And I don't
care how tough you were in high school. That doesn't
count NOW. So your first exercise will be over in about
30 seconds - one minute at most.

Second, I'll have you do Hindu squats. If you're a stud and
able to push 400 pounds or more with barbell squats, I'll
watch you quit around 40-50 reps. This will take less than
a minute. If you're a banana slug, well, you'll drop out at
10-20 reps. About 30 seconds.

At this point I'm being generous with the five minutes. Your
hide is nearly tanned and we still have to do the bridge.
Even if you're an expert in mind power, I'll bet on you only
making it for a minute on this one. And at the end of this
minute you'll lie on your back staring at the ceiling without
a thought or care in the world.

For some strange reason you'll feel more relaxed than ever
before. And you'll feel this even though you've just put
yourself through 2-3 minutes of vigorous exercises.

You'll lie there on your back breathing deeply, feeling a
sense of calmness and serenity. This will last three minutes
or more.

The next day when you arise you'll look in the mirror and
wonder if it's your imagination or not. Are you truly seeing
changes and FEELING changes this quickly - or are you
simply imagining them.

After three weeks you'll definitely know you're not
imagining anything - except how much better you're
going to continue feeling if you stick with this Combat
Conditioning program.

Combat Conditioning - http://mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html
will put your body on the road to greatness. All you need is the desire,
the guts and the vision to get started and the rest will take care of
itself.

For those of you who already have Combat Conditioning -then surge
to the next level with Gama Fitness - http://gama-fitness.com

And if you have some extra waste around your waist - then be sure
to invest in Combat Abs - http://mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html

Most importantly, make a decision to do and BE something MORE.
Do it today. Right NOW.

UnSinsored, Politically Inkorrekt and Opinion8ted

In the last couple months I've made the cover of a
couple different magazines. First it was Gladiator -
the finest mixed martial arts magazine out there
right now. Nothing even close. You can subscribe
at http://www.gladmag.com

The second is the March 2008 issue of Inside Kung
Fu. It'll be in bookstores within a week - for now you
can see the cover at http://mattfurey.com - you'll
have to scroll a bit.

All this hoopla may have you wondering. If so, that's
a good thing - but this is only the start of a new
trend. I've been shy and retiring for far too long.
I've avoided the limelight for years, refusing radio
and tee-vee interviews on a regular basis. I have
rarely made public appearances, and those were
usually my own seminars and events. Others who
asked me to speak were usually surprised when I
flat out refused.

2008 will represent a big change in how I do things
and how visible I am.

And one of the ways I'm beginning to increase this
visibility is thru the marketing of my very first
Internet seminar - held in 2003. These DVDs
are RAW and UnSinsored. They are Politically
Inkorrekt. And they are currently being made
available at an unheard of fee.

You'd be a fool's stool to pass on the offer I'm
making on them. We're talking cashews -not
even peanuts.

what I mean.

New York State of Mind

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are
preparing for a super great 2008.

I, myself, am in Manhattan with my family. My
eye surgery here in August turned into multiple
blessings, it seems, one of which is my love for
the Big Apple.

Funny thing is that last August, before flying to
Finland, I was walking through the JFK airport
with Ed Baran -and before entering the terminal
for international flights, I said, "You know, I gotta
come here for a visit sometime. I was here in 1985,
when it was an eye sore - but now I hear it's awesome."

Ed agreed.

Four days later, both of us were back. But not so much
to visit. We were back because I suffered a detached
retina while in Finland and was rushing back for
emergency surgery with Dr. Howard Fine.

I stayed two weeks after the surgery -took a week off
and returned with my family for a check-up.

Returned a month later. And yesterday I had my final
check-up - albeit a yearly exam - and passed with
flying laser beams. From blindness to 20/20 +2.

I gave Dr. Fine an autographed copy of the March 2008
edition of Inside Kung Fu -hot from the Zen Master's hands.
If you don't have a copy of this magazine yet, be sure to get
one NOW - while you can. This issue is smoking and will be
a HUGE collectible - guaranteed. Especially if it is signed.

Anyway, I thought I'd pass on a bit of what I'm doing right
now - as food for mental digestion.

Each day, long before my family arises, I am up. I spend quite
a spell reading, followed by the taking of notes on what I read
and the ideas I came up with.

Then I do some deep breathing exercises, physical exercises,
visualization, meditation and so on.

This is followed by more ideas -which I quickly scribble onto
slips of paper, into my journal or within the confidential notepad
of my iPhone.

In the last few days alone I am swimming in ideas that can have a
gargantuan impact on the lives of millions of people.

Yet, I am faced with a list of ideas so abundant that I am still deciding
which one or three to move forward on first. And while I'm thinking the
list continues to grow. For example, what if I have an Idea Bank of sorts
that people pay a membership fee to belong to - or maybe instead of
that I ...

"Hey, Furey, not to fast on the other ideas that spring from this
one."

Well, I think you get the idea about the value of my ideas. Afterall, it's
not like I've never created a muney-cranker for myself or tons of others.

Just this morning, for example, I got an email from Ryan Lee, author of
Millionaire Workout - http://ryanlee.com - and no slouch in the fitness and marketing industry.

Hey Matt,

Thanks again for letting me purchase your email course. Awesome
stuff that got me through a 13 hour car ride today! I listened to
your email marketing course from start to finish in one marathon
sitting. I can tell you, without a doubt, there were some specific
pieces of information I learned that will add - at least - another
seven figures to my income. I already started to implement your
concepts and profits have gone up in the first 24 hours."

Ryan Lee

I told Ryan that listening to one of my programs from start to finish
is a huge compliment in and of itself. And the truth is that this WAY
of listening is not uncommon with my products. Once you begin you
might as well abandon the idea of doing anything else. Your mind
will be captured for hours. Just like going for a walk in Manhattan.
You get that New York State of Mind. You put one foot in front of
the other and next thing you know you've walked a few miles.

The CDs Ryan listened to are typically not for sale. They were taken
from a 10K per person workshop I did in 2005. Previously the only
people whom I even let hear the CDs paid 5K.

I'm thinking of doing a very, very limited release of them at a lower
price point, perhaps as low as $2995.00 - but am not yet sure.
If you're interested in a set, let us know by sending
an email to goldmedalpublish@aol.com

In the interim, if you're looking for another event of mine to test
the waves on -then I suggest my ribbon cutting Internet marketing
seminar - an absolute classic with ZERO politically correct mumbo.

Go to http://www.knockoutmarketing.com and you'll get more info about it.

In the interim, stay tuned to my messages over the next few days
because there is going to be some mega valuable information for
you to feast your brain on.

Zenny Christmas, etc.

I'm back from my latest trip to China and off to NYC
for Christmas.

While in China it was great to be greeted, without fear,
with the traditional Merry Christmas. It was great to
see trees and bulbs and wreaths and Santa Claus'
in so many places.

Don't know about you but when someone is so lazy
he has to write x-mas instead of Christmas, well ...

And Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings - well, that
is the lamest of the lame.

Take it from me - a Zen Master -t'ain't nothing wrong with
saying Merry Christmas. If you're anti-Christian, it won't
turn you into one. So no fear there, my friend. And if you're
worried about the non-Christians being worried or offended,
well, since when is it your business to police the minds of the
world. Just say what you think, without fear.

In fact, say Merry Christmas all year round if you want. Who
is going to object but some whacko.

When in China and I was greeted with "Good morning" I responded
with "Good evening." Brought a laugh and a smile everywhere. Same
goes when someone said "Good Evening" to me.

I believe in a Zen twist to everything - so I say "Zenny Christmas."
This means take time to be still, quiet, meditative and merry.

And this is why you better pay attention to what I'm doing over the next
few days. There will be the launching of Zen-a-Claus - a very different
character than Santa Claus - and he works year round to bring you the
best.

Stay tuned.

Coming your way in a day or three.

In the interim, have a Zenny Christmas and a Slap Happy New Year.

Do It Again

I recently began learning a Taoist Kung fu form that is over 2000 years old and until recently was only passed on to a single person per generation. As you can imagine, this form has been kept secret because its power could be easily misused or abused.

Learning this form has forced me to develop my body-mind in a more powerful way..

Training is daily; not two or three times per week. Each day my mistakes are pointed out so I can improve. Each day I follow the 53-year old master who began to learn this form when he was eight. He's still practicing it because of how DEEP it is. There's an infinite ocean of energy contained within this practice.

As I look at the road ahead I realize it is long and arduous. So I quickly glimpse at the practice that lies before me. How long it will take to get good at it is not relevant now. All that truly matters is the form I'm practicing today; right now. All that matters is my next breath; my next move; my next mistake to correct. I figure after ten or twenty thousand passes through the form I'll have something decent. But maybe it will take longer. I don't mind how long it takes.

If it takes me 9 years to learn this form - I will put in 9 years. If it requires 18 I will put in 18.

Why am I willing to put forth so much? Because I know that being on the journey is most important. Reaching goals is important - but the real juice in life is contained in those moments when you look into each and every moment and feel the power of bubbling up within.

The good news for you is that while I'm over here learning something complicated - you can quickly and easily learn how to get super fit with my world famous Combat Conditioning program. Read all about it NOW.

Positive Ego - Negative Ego

We often think of the ego as a reflection of arrogance. Although this may be true the ego is also reflected via false humility, fear, self-doubt, worry and useless comparisons with others. All of these states of mind tell others that you have more faith in your limitations than your desired accomplishments. Fear of being who you really want to be feeds rather than starves the ego. It takes intestinal fortitude to step forward, plant your feet firmly on terra firma and say you'll be true to yourself. This cannot be done when you're ruled by your ego.

Laser-like Focus

When I was in high school I refused to do anything that would reduce my focus on becoming a champion. No parties. No drinking, drugs or wild nights.

The closer I got to the end of my senior season I began to scrutinize the activities I was engaged in that I thought were helpful. I re-evaluated everything to see if it was moving me closer to or further away from success. In doing this I saw how I was wasting time on things that didn't produce. So I stopped doing those things and concentrated only on what I truly believed was turning me into a champion.

Before doing this my record was 7-4. After honing in I won 15-straight matches, qualified for the state meet on a severely sprained ankle, knocked off the defending state champion who hadn't lost in over two years, whopped the #3 ranked man in the state - and made it into the state finals.

At that point I began to think about how far I'd come. I began to pat myself on the back as well as feel negative about my next match. I went into the finals with half my heart and half my brain. I lost by a point. And I've never forgotten the lesson.

Over a period of many years I had dreams at night about that final match. More like nightmares. I would awaken feeling a deep sense of let down. The pain of loss was still deeply etched in my psyche.

Why did I let up when I was so close?

Why did I lose my focus?

The loss turned out to be a blessing as well as a warning. It taught me to keep my eye on the goal ALL the way to completion. It taught me to never get too absorbed with how good 'others' told me I was..

With Psycho-Cybernetics I also learned how I could go back into the arena and wrestle that match again in my imagination.

As a result of redoing the match in my imagination - my loss is now my greatest triumph. I've learned to change my mind, the pictures in my imagination and my LIFE.

One-legged Woman Does Combat Conditioning

This month I'm going to take Combat Conditioning away from your muscles for a moment and send an unforgettable message straight into your heart. It will move you out of your comfy chair or couch and have you sprinting the straightaways to the best body you can muster.

My School in China

This is Eddie Baran here. Matthew called me earlier today because he's unable to get online from where he is in China today. So he asked me to him a favor and tell you about one of the experiences we had in China. I myself just returned from China along with Doug Doebler and Jim Whelan where we all had the time of our lives. On my own website, www.eddiebaran.com, I'm writing about some of these experiences. But I think the one I'm gonna share with you now is something very special.

On the second to last full day in China we were on Hainan island. Around 10 in the morning, Matthew told us we were going to visit one of the schools he opened up on Hainan island, the Matt Furey Hope School located in Yang Pu. He had not visited this school yet, and only had seen photos and videos. After a quick phone call from Matthew's friend, the school immediately got things in order for his unexpected arrival. I think the pictures enclosed in this email will tell much of the story, but i will do my best to capture it in words as well.

When our van pulled up to the school, everyone got out except Matthew. he stood waiting as drums banged and symbols clashed and students sang "welcome." All of us could feel the energy coming out of the car as Matthew sat there breathing deeply and concentrating. When he finally opened the door and got out it was like something out of a world from the past. This wasn't a fellow American, this was a Chinese person. The person who got out of the car transcended nationality, race and culture.

He started to walk forward and was greeted by two student representatives who tied an auspicious red ribbon around his neck.

Matthew then proceeded to hand the school principal an envelope with money for the students, all of whom come from a very poor village. Before this new building was added there were room for only 80 students; now there are over 300 students. We went to visit all the students who were in their classrooms, waiting for him, after 4 p.m., far past the time school got out.

When Matthew strolled in to the room, they greeted him with a warm "Hello!" Then like something straight out of Good Morning Vietnam he gave them a loud "hello!"

He then asked "how are you?"

They repeated "how are you?"

Matthew yelled "I'm great," to which they repeated "I'm great!"

Matthew then said "I look good, I sound great, feel my energy radiate," a line he learned from his friend Lama Lar. The entire class repeated this.

Then Matthew began speaking extemporaneously in Chinese to them. He began telling stories about what his life was like when he was their age and continued to the present day. All in Chinese, Matthew told stories for next 20 minutes. I had no idea what he was saying but the kids sure did. They smiled, they laughed, and occasionally wiped a tear. This was an amazing sight to see. Very few people can relate to children at their level. It's a difficult thing for most adults to do. Now imagine doing it in another language, in another country, in a completely different culture. I've seen Matthew speak to large groups of people for nearly 10 years but I've never seen anything like this. To call it masterful would be an understatement.

After we left the first class, we proceeded to the next and the next, until we visited every room in the school. Matthew spoke in Chinese the whole time. In the very last room we visited, when Matthew was finishing his talk, he made eye contact with a young boy seated three rows back to his right. He asked the boy what his name was. Then he told the boy, "You are especially smart and intelligent." He walked towards him and asked him to write something on a piece of paper. Matthew had took a look at it, put his hand on the boy's shoulder and began to tell him his future. None of us knew what was being said so we began taking photographs.

As we left the room we asked Matthew what he said to the boy. He said that he read his face and that the boy has a very bright future and will be a leader. At this point, Matthew's brother-in-law said, "he already is. He's one of the two student leaders."

We then went down outside the building and took group photos when Matthew had the young boy on his right and the young girl leader on his left. After the photos Matthew asked the boy if he would allow him to do some work on his back and shoulders, as he said he told the boy that he has some problems. The boy agreed. Matthew got down into a catcher's squat and the boy then lied across Matthew's thighs. All of us watched as he realigned the boy's torso.

After this, we took a few more photos and Matthew began to greet each of the school teachers one by one. When shaking hands and greeting two of them, he immediately began to praise them for their efforts, thanking them for how much they care about the students. I asked matthew how he knew who were the good teachers and who were not. He looked at me with one of those isn't-it-obvious expressions and said "read the face. You can not hide your face."

One of Matthew's goals is to continue to open up schools like these, giving back to a world that has given him so much.

I will be sending this email to the Psycho-Cybernetic's list as well and Matthew should be back with a report of his own in the very near future.

Wishing you the best,

Eddie Baran

I Used to Think ...

Here's another entry from my journal:

"I used to think I alone determined my destiny. I used
to think I alone made all the choices about what does
and doesn't interest me. I used to think I alone was the one
choosing the thoughts I think on a regular basis. Now I
believe in two worlds. One in which everything I think and
choose and do comes from within - and another
world in which I am being guided in what I think and what
I choose and what I do. Both worlds are right in my book -
and both can coexist without friction."

Earlier today I dropped Eddie Baran, Doug Doebler
and Jim Whelan - three good friends/clients
off at the Shanghai airport here in China. They
spent 10 days with me - not including the flight
from LA to Shanghai on November 24 and that flight
alone was 13 hours and 45 minutes.

After getting the grand tour of China with me and
my brother-in-law, the boys were absolutely
blown away.

There were far more highlights to the trip than I
can put here in words alone. Tour of Great Wall,
Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Hainan Island,
even the Miss World Pageant - where I we got intimate
photos with some of the beauties. Wait til you see the
pics.

I'll put the photos up in my blog in a day or two.

In the meantime, I realize many of you missed out on the
sale I had for Thanksgiving. Even I was too busy to check
in and see how it was going.

So I'm going to put the page up for one more day - then it'll
come down. This means you have one more shot to save BIG
by going to http://mattfurey.com/t-giving.html

Yours,

Matt Furey
