More on Military Mountain Climbers

Listen to this tip now

Dear Friend,

Last November, after returning from China, I wrote about yet another often overlooked exercise that is clearly spelled out in Combat Conditioning. That exercise is none other than Mountain Climbers.

To recap: I was channel surfing on Day Two of my visit. Not interested in Beijing Opera. Not interested in cooking. Not interested in game shows - or CNN.

But then I saw two men in army attire panting and groaning while they did Mountain Climbers. And let me tell you, they weren't just going through the motions to a 4-count. They were doing hard-core sprints. So if you're wondering how you can do sprints if you don't have any hills in your area - believe me, Mountain Climbers will do.

Naturally, if you've never done Mountain Climbers before, you don't start off with sprints. Work into it gradually. The exercise will whoop you big time even if you do it at half-speed.

Why? Because it is targeting major muscle groups.

Mountain climbers build leg and lung power. They get you gasping for air in record time. They also work your hips, buttocks and abdominals in a major way. And because you're hitting major muscle groups and getting out of breath quickly, your body is going to release copious amounts of growth hormone - ya know, that precious hormone that keeps you younger, burns fat, builds muscle, increases bone density and makes you feel fantastic regardless of your age.

Mix Mountain climbers in with grasshoppers, burpees and pleasant valleys - and I'd say you'd have a workout worth writing home about.

Yes, Mountain climbers are good for women. And teenagers. Why, they're even good for kids in pre-school.

Not only that but if you do Mountain climbers regularly, who knows - you might be able to move around like Spiderman. The movement is remarkably similar.

Well, my friend, that's all for now.

Kick ass - Take Names!

P.S. It's kind of hard to do mountain climbers if you don't have the correct instructions on them - as found in my Combat Conditioning book and videos. To remove all doubt about how to do them, go here and order now.
