There's Something About a Mother
Dear Friend,
Being I just witnessed, up close and
personal, what it takes to give birth to a child,
this "Mother's Day" holds much more significance
to me than all the others combined.
Those of you who've studied submission
fighting or various forms of martial arts
absolutely know what pain is. But when
compared to what a mother goes through
when bringing a new child into this world -
well, t'ain't no comparison.
A couple days ago I told my friend Mike
Storms that the only thing I can relate to
the experience my wife just went through
is to say, "It's like being in a submission
hold where you feel your limb is going to
be ripped to shreds - but instead of being
able to tap out and give up, you have to go
into the pain."
Honestly, that's how I see it. Mother in labor
gets a major contraction. She wants it to stop.
But whoever is gathered around to assist is
making sure she doesn't. Her willingness
to endure the pain, to go with the pain, brings
forth the new baby.
I think there's a lesson in this for all of us, MEN
included.
Spend time with your mother today and thank her
for bringing you into this world. I assure you, it was
no easy task and should not be taken for granted.
Happy Mother's Day.
P.S.: Want to know how one of my customers dropped
138 pounds? Then go here
and check him out. By the way, what's really cool is he
sent before and after pics in which he's standing with his
mother.
