Never Stop Improving
Dear Friend,
I'm in Shanghai now and will be off to Hainan
Island for a few weeks to train like a madman
for my forthcoming fitness seminar this coming
January.
As I train I think about the question, "When will a
man or woman who works out the way I teach,
stop improving."
The answer is: Never.
There are many reasons for this, but one of the
biggest hits, once again, on that thing I hammered
home a couple days ago - that being, strength,
endurance, flexiblity and so on - are a matter of
how much of your mind is connected to your body.
If you're willing to forego the cell phone for a few
minutes a day (or longer); to shut off the idiot box
and put away the iPods - you can learn to get in touch
with your INNER MAN - and teach him to grow stronger,
fitter and more powerful by the day.
You can begin in your 40's, 50's and beyond and make
progress year after year - IF you'll focus on your breathing,
pay attention to the feelings in your body - and harness the
inner power residing within.
This is why you WANT all the distractions put to the side whilst
you train. The tee-vee, and iPod may be mesmerizing, and I'm
not a technophobe who is against these things - I have a lot of
it, too. Thing is, I know when to shut the stuff off because it's
"mind and body time."
In China the people instinctively understand the purpose of
exercise. Long ago one of my early kung fu teachers told me,
"Exercise that doesn't have an internal focus is incomplete."
This means that whether you choose to swim, run, walk, wrestle,
box or do Combat Conditioning, the training is incomplete if
you don't pay attention to your breathing as well as what is
going on in every muscle you're training.
Anyone can exercise. But the person who through his
conscious thought turns the walk into something far more
sublime and far more powerful - that's the person who has
something special developing within.
Those who have an internal and external focus when they
train quickly find that they are tapping into a Universe of
energy that is virtually unlimited.
Combat Conditioning and my other best-selling programs lead
the way in your search for internal strength and power. Tap
into them TO-DAY.
It's never too late to begin - and you're never so good that you
can no longer improve.
To hit the ground running - be sure to look at all the gifts I have
for you here.
Kick butt - take names,
