What The Chinese Say About an Un-American Virtue
Dear Friend,
Yesterday came - yesterday left. And no
baby yet. Not only that, but the doctor moved
the due date back to May 1 - the "original" due
date he gave us 8 months ago.
Uggh!
When my wife and I were leaving the doctor's
office, she looked at me and said, "Hao shi duo
muo" - which means "Good things take time."
This is a great saying to have handy whenever you
get impatient about "results." It gives you some space
to breathe and allow things to take their natural course.
This is a tough one for me, at times, because if there is
anything I like, it's speed; especially when it's combined
with efficiency.
Have a friend who noticed this about me one day. A
great deal of the decisions I make are centered
around the principles of speed and efficiency. Even how
I back out of the driveway with my car - or what door I
walk through to go into a restaurant - or what table I sit at.
If there's a faster, more efficient way to do the job - I want
to know.
When I buy a new computer, I want the fastest one. When I
buy something online, I want it FedEx'd.
I believe that speed is a virtue. Show someone a faster,
easier, more efficient way to accomplish the same or
better results - and hey, you've got a winner.
Naturally, this is why I love Combat Conditioning so
much. Forget hours in the gym pumping iron. You will
do your body more good learning to master your own
bodyweight. And although to many it sounds like hype,
the fact of the matter is that a 15 minute workout with
Combat Conditioning is unreal. Many people, when they
first begin, are lucky if they can do it for 3 minutes.
Do they get results from those three minutes? You bet
your arse they do.
Forget the long cardio sessions, too. They are NOT better for
your heart than wind sprints - especially uphill wind sprints.
And without a doubt, long cardio is NOT better for your
muscles. Not only that - but if you're looking for a natural
dose of HGH from your workout - a series of wind sprints
will crank it up more than 400%. Can't say this about an
hour-long run.
Yes, Combat Conditioning is fast and it's efficient. At the same
time, though, patience is in order.
Oh, me hates that word. Patience ... patience ... patience.
But you know, it's exactly what you need more of some
times. As fast as you get results with my program - you
still need to remember the Chinese saying: "Hao shi duo muo."
"Good things take time."
Have a great day!
Kick butt - Take Names ... with Speed and Patience!
P.S.: As patient as I have been, some people are really
