Okay, here's the first one:
Matt,
I don't usually write these kinds of letters but your last
few Emails and the results I have been getting have
prompted it.
First of all I am a 53 year old General contractor who has
been working out with weights semi-seriously for most of
my adult life. Recently, after my workouts, all I want to do
is go to sleep.
My build is very similar to a fire hydrant and about as flexible.
When I saw you doing the bridge, I just looked on with envy
knowing that my days of back bends or bridges have been over
for quite some time.
Enter Combat Conditioning
after ONLY four weeks of doing your routine I am within inches of doing the wall
walk into a bridge!
Not only that but by reading between the lines of your daily tips and applying
your concepts I have lost about two inches from my waist and am on my way
to my first six-pack-abs in my life. Now instead of sleeping after my work outs
I want to "kick butt and take names"!
As for the guy who complained about you not giving any tips ... God gave us
two ears, two eyes and only one mouth. I don't believe this was a coincidence
or by chance. We will get more out of every aspect of life if we spend twice as
much time listening and observing than we do talking or complaining!

Dear Matt Furey,
Just to let you know, I appreciate your words of wisdom. My husband
and I love your "crabs in bucket" and "thick face-black heart" philosophy.
Also my husband has been doing your deep breathing exercises from Combat Abs for 7 minutes a day and has taken
off 7 lbs in one month. I am amazed. I plan to do the same. Your stuff really
works.
It may seem too good to be true. Yet it really works. He had no diet changes
just
your deep breathing.

M.F.: Chelie, glad to hear this. Truth, you can reduce your waistline through
superior exercise alone. Yet, if some nutrional changes are made you can get
even more results. All in good time, though. Take things one small step at a time.
Or as Old Ben (as in Franklin) used to say, "Make haste slowly."
