There’s a way of walking that helps calm your nerves. A way that helps rid your mind-body of negative emotions and feelings, so you can be more active and effective in the present.
This way of walking unwinds your mind, helping you de-stress. It brings a feeling of joy to your face and puts more spring in your steps.
In China, this way of walking, called Dao Zou, is said to improve your overall health, including the health of your brain and nervous system.
The basic idea of this program is 2,000 steps per day – far, far less than the average daily step count of 5,000 or the recommended 10,000.
The 2,000 steps are not rushed or hurried. You are NOT trying to set a speed record or better your time. You are not working hard. In fact, the goal is to continually remind yourself to go slower rather than faster.
This way of walking is an active form of positive meditative movement with your eyes open; not the passive kind meditation most people think of, i.e. sitting cross-legged with eyes closed.
Sitting to meditate for a short time can be helpful, but for extended periods of time, there are many potential side effects: harming the joints and connective tissues of the lower body, disrupting blood flow and so on.
Dao Zou, on the other foot, may improve your health in a dramatic way. Your eyes are open. You breathe deeply. And without any effort to influence a change in your emotional state, your mind-body calms down.
This calming down not only feels good, it increases your vibration.
Many people feel the shift taking place after only 200 steps. After 500 steps, if you stop for a moment and pay attention, you may experience sensations in your body that you’ve never felt before. It’s almost as though there was a long line of cars that was stopped on the freeway, and these cars are now moving again at an accelerated pace.
It’s truly amazing.
By slowing down and walking the way I teach in Dao Zou, what needs to calm down, calms down – and what needs to speed up, speeds up.
The practice of Dao Zou, convinced me that our mind-body truly is connected to a Divine Intelligence. And this Divine Intelligence knows what to do if we will agree to stop blocking ourselves, open the doors and allow it to work.
You can get Dao Zou NOW as a digital download – or on DVD.
It’s a life-changer, in so many ways, I can’t stop raving about it.
P.S. From time to time someone will write to ask if the practice of Dao Zou runs counter to his or her Christian beliefs. My answer: Dao Zou will only enhance your Christian beliefs. Period. The people who need to worry about it are those who don’t believe in a Creator. In their case, they may become believers as a result of the practice.
