Several years ago I read the writings of a great author who claims (and recommends to others) a muse to inspire him and give him ideas.
I found the notion of having a muse quite amusing.
I don’t have one and don’t want one because I am in contact with leprechauns and such, who whisper secrets to me day and night.
Heh!
Well, yesterday I got an email from Musa – who is not a muse. And this man of 23 years, wrote me the following:
“I was a little skeptical of Power Postures, but its pretty legit. The weird thing I didn’t realize but my recovery feels better.
My body feels more solid and my body is recovering faster from workouts.”
Here’s my answer: Musa, Keep in mind you’ve had the program for only a week. The positive results accumulate. As you do the training, you will notice yourself getting looser throughout all your joints, as well as stronger in ways you’ve never experienced before.
Another question came from India, where a man with the name, Kumar, asked about the breathing in the program:
“I enjoy your Power Postures. I want to know if you inhale through nose and exhale nose, the way we do in Yoga.”
Kumar,
You inhale through nose and exhale out mouth. This allows for you to relax away unnecessary tension. If you prefer your way, then do it the way you want. But when you’re doing the fast-twitch explosive exercises, I would encourage you to exhale out the mouth. That’s important.
And then I got another email, this one from outerspace:
“Matt, this is Yu Ef Oh. Do you think the earth is flat? I’m up here and I cannot see the round ball so well.”
Answer: “I don’t care if it’s flat or if it’s round. I just wish the darn thing would produce more balanced people with stillness of mind.”
This concludes today’s Q&A section.
