I watched a video the other day where the speaker said, “There are no lazy kids; only lazy parents.”
The video reminded me of the seemingly self-serving advice I gave to a parent whose children weren’t exercising.
“Get a copy of Combat Conditioning for Kids and put it in your living room. All the exercises in the book are cartoons and that alone makes them irresistible,” I said.
“I have that book,” he answered.
“Where is it?”
“It’s in my bookcase.”
“It’s not doing your children any good in your bookcase. Put it on the floor – out in the open.”
The next time I heard from the parent he told me that his boys were doing the exercises in my book every day, with no prompting from him to get off their lazy butts.
“If you join them, they’ll do even more,” I said.
Think you got lazy kids? Think again.
