Below is an example of why I recommend the so-called “soft exercises” over weights, training to failure or fatigue, or hard, hard work. Look at what this 73-year old experienced within 13 days of practicing Dao Zou:
Hello Matt,
I started using Dao Zou 13 days ago. I am 73 y.o. and swim at least an hour per day with fins in the ocean. But when it comes to leg power for walking, that was weak.
On day one I could not do more than 50 steps until I felt exhausted. I added 100 steps per day, then 200. So far I have only used exercise one on Video one. I am easily able to finish 2,000 backsteps in 30 minutes.
Now I feel much better and stronger, also more positive.
This is an amazing, yet soft exercise, and I can recommend it, especially to elderly people. The balance you gain is worth it alone.
Thank you very much!
H.R.
M.F.: Thank you for telling me about your experiences, H.R. The cool thing is that the effects are the same for someone half or a third your age. The brain-body-balance connection is off the charts. The improvements in mood and well-being, as well as the elimination of negative feelings and emotions is downright flabbergasting. Keep going with the first video and when the time is ripe, add something more. You’re doing it the proper way. Let the practice evolve in you. Let it grow spontaneously. There’s no need to force anything. Use “the force” but don’t try to force the force. Doesn’t work that way.

P.S. It’s great hearing from people who are using my products and getting results that cannot be attributed to a belief system. Dao Zou doesn’t require you to believe that it works. All you need to do is move the way I teach you to move, and you’ll find the truth out for yourself. I love it when people who are highly skeptical give the program a whirl and end up convincing themselves that there truly is an entire universe out there, and within, that you never recognized before.
