It’s 2:13 AM.
I got my late-night sauna in and when I returned home, Zhannie greeted my daughter, Faith, and me with a huge “Happy Birthday” hug.
[Yes, Faith and I share the same birthday.]Anyway, after bestowing gifts upon both of us, I sat for a spell to do some reading.
And then an email came in.
I got so pumped when I saw it.
It’s from a Cincinnati lad, who has me beat, so far, in the birthday game. I figure he’s six or so years ahead.
Anyway, here’s what the bloke wrote:
Matt,
I’ve been working out since I was 18 years old.
I wasn’t much of an athlete while growing up.
But early in college I embraced fitness training (for life) via weights, bodyweight exercise and being very conscious of what I ate.
Fast-forward 47 years. For most of these years, I worked out.
But over the past several years, my elbows would hurt as well as my knees and left shoulder.
So I’d workout for a few weeks and then take a 1-2 week break until I felt better.
No longer – thanks to Power Postures.
No aches. No pains.
I am literally on my feet for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week (I’ve been told we’re walking 17,000 steps a day while at work).
Later in the day I exercise with weights.
Since incorporating Power Postures, my feet are not hurting at the end of the day!
I’m back to exercising with weights as there is no elbow, knee, or shoulder pain.
What’s the difference?
Power Postures is my DAILY warm-up routine.
I plan to retire in 2049.
Proper nutrition and Power Postures is my physical foundation of being able to do this.
Thanks, Matt
And Happy Birthday.
Ted Leithart
Ted, you are a freaking stud. Way to roll. I’m super happy for you. Getting out of pain, ridding your body of unhealthy energy, and recharging your physical and mental batteries is what it is all about.
Sorry to hear you’re still pumping the iron, but I forgive you due to your kind words.
