If you’ve ever experienced the unwelcome feeling of being tired, drained, and exhausted, and the idea of hardcore exercise is NOT music to your ears, then pay attention as I’m about to reveal something that may change your life for the better.
Consider the tree.
For the most part, once a tree is planted, it does nothing more than stand still. And yet it grows and grows, getting stronger by the day.
The tree digs its roots deep into the soil. Its branches spread out and leaves appear.
In the winter, the tree may go dormant, but as springtime arrives, it grows some more.
Oddly enough, the human nervous system is similar to that of the tree. And when we stand still for specific periods of time, a remarkable thing happens. Our feet may get hot and begin to tingle.
The same happens to our hands.
But this phenomenon doesn’t stop there. We might also begin to shake and bounce a bit as the muscles in our legs, arms and shoulders begin to recharge and fill with vital energy.
Not only that, but while standing still, our brain and nervous system begin to relax and unwind. As this happens, we may sense that our legs are a type of antenna, that our feet are plugged into a type of electric socket or grid.
On top of that, we may become aware of a subtle energy surrounding our bodies, an energy that is giving us more life, greater stamina, greater strength.
It’s uncanny how this process works.
It still amazes me to this day, and it shouldn’t because I’ve been practicing standing still, in various postures and positions for a long, long time.
Standing still, or what I call “Power Postures,” puts more spring in your step, improves athleticism and martial arts skills. It also helps people of all ages rehabilitate from various injuries and ailments.
At a training I conducted, a man told me that he had a headache just before the group got started. Five minutes later the headache was gone.
Another man was suffering from back pain. Once again, it was gone within one training session.
I cannot say this happens “every time,” but I can say that it does happen quite often, and when it does, the practitioner learns that his body has an ability to “heal itself,” provided he gives it the type of exercise that is in harmony with nature, the type of exercise your brain and body craves.
