Last night, after eight hours of driving and an hour of walking in the cool evening breeze, I took a seat on the couch.
Time to calm my nerves, breathe deeply and relax.
Soon afterward, I was sleeping.
Then I woke up.
Time to get into bed.
I changed rooms and after lying down, wouldn’t you know it? I was unable to sleep.
This ever happen to you?
If so, there are a few tricks that will help you drop back into a deep slumber very quickly.
Listed below are three practices that kick butt:
1. Relive your day in reverse.
This is a great memory practice to do any day of the week, but it’s especially good to do when you want to sleep.
2. Count backwards from 99.
In this practice I am not merely counting. I am counting and picturing who or what each number represents.
Here’s a sample of my list, from 99-89
99 – Warren Sapp
98 – Napoleon Hill
97 – Newt Gingrich
96 – Sgt. Nick Fury
95 – New England Patriots
94 – Nancy Drew
93 – Nelson Cruz
92 – Napoleon Bonaparte
91 – Neil Armstrong
90 – Nellie Olson
89 – Harold Nichols
{From this you may see that the letter ‘N’ is a 9 and other letters generally correspond with their place in the alphabet,)
Nerdy? Perhaps! But hey, it works not only to improve your memory – but to help you sleep. Last time I checked, most people are having trouble with both.
3. Super Foods
Yes, I do have knowledge about some special super foods that make it super easy to fall asleep.
Hint: One of them is sweet.
I’ll cover this and other ways to sleep faster and deeper, in detail, in a forthcoming series on the FureyFaithful.com membership site.
Last week we added a “ho bunch” on training the most important area of the human body, the area that transforms average and ordinary people into superhuman fitness machines.
And guess what? It’s probably THE MOST NEGLECTED yet vitally IMPORTANT AREA of your body, with deep connections to your brain. nervous systems and endocrine systems (i.e. hormones).
You don’t want to get older without this information – because with it, you’ll be young for a looooooooooonnnnnnggggg
time.
Let’s Go!
