Believe it or not, people still struggle with the notion of a fight, a ballgame, or some other so-called contest, being fake.
It’s too much for far too many to swallow.
Nevertheless, there are many good reasons to stage fake fights, fake ballgames and predetermined outcomes in virtually any arena. And almost all of them revolve around a word that rhymes with honey.
I’ve been asked to slap two cents into the most recent hullabaloo concerning Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s “fight” last Friday evening, and I have gladly obliged.
