If you’ve been walking five miles per day, or counting your steps until you reach 10,000 or more, then today’s message may be music to your muscles… as well as aching joints.
Here’s what all the walking enthusiasts never tell you:
When you walk in the “same ole, same ole” pattern you are traumatize the body.
You think you’re doing your body and your mind a lot of good, but ultimately, the human system does not care for this method… and it fights back.
Gene Tunney used reverse training to get into the best shape of his life and pulverize Jack Dempsey in their heavyweight boxing match.
Muhammad Ali used reverse training, as well as other methods of locomotion that I have advocated for years, and these made him fleet of foot.
As I told my children long ago, you can fight nature all you want, and you can appear to be winning, but in the end nature always wins.
Am I saying it’s unnatural to always walk the same way, in the same direction?
I most certainly am.
And this is one of many reasons I came out with my Dao Zou course many years ago.
Training in reverse was a game changer and life expander for me.
I believe it is one of the secrets of longevity and athletics prowess… and in my most recent YouTube video, you will see why.
