There’s an ancient Chinese saying, “When people get old, the legs go first.”
Ever wonder why that is?
There are many reasons, but the biggest one is neglect. When you don’t move your legs, and most importantly, when you don’t sit in a deep squat, and cannot do so for at least five minutes, you’re beginning to lose the foundation of all motor movement.
This is why I teach a deep farmer’s squat, and much more, in my Power Postures course. By sitting in this posture each day, you address the root cause of pain, injury and the lack of mobility.
If you exercise your legs but ignore the root cause of your pain, you’re simply putting a piece of tape on the real issue at play.
Enjoy your weekend. Breathe deep. Squat deeper. And make your legs young again.
All the Best!
