Here’s something I wrote in a journal many moons ago…
Rewind Your Mind
Twas early evening in Ningxia, China.
Looking out my hotel window, an enigma.
A man, physically fit, in his sixties,
smiling as he walks backwards smoothly.
Curiosity has me, so I run down to see,
if this joyful man will show me the key.
He stops in his tracks and proclaims,
when walking backwards, slowly, is your aim.
The goal is 2,000 steps every night,
but faster than 30 minutes isn’t right.
Take your time – move in slow mo,
count your steps, get into the flow.
Inhale and exhale every few steps,
picture a number for every rep.
Begin with this basic and simple routine,
and from it, profound insight you will glean.
Your mind will naturally unwind,
and when it does, you shall find,
positive memories coming back to you,
some of which happened before you were two.

20 years ago, are in my Dao Zou course.
