There’s an overlooked secret to getting stronger, fitter, faster and more flexible. It may be the most overlooked secret – even though it is hiding in plain sight.
The secret is called REST – but it is often viewed as “wasting time.”
Those who understand this secret do a set of pushups, pull-ups, squats and so on, then they sit around and do nothing. They waste time, and do so deliberately.
Why? Because the value of wasted time is incalculable. When we waste time we are renewed, recharged and reinvigorated.
It is a mistake to fill every single moment of your workout with movement.
Move, then rest.
In a 30 or 60-minute workout, be open to doing nothing for 50% or more of the time. Do a set of Hindu squats, then rest. Do a set of pushups, and rest some more. Rest until you feel your system reset and return to 100 percent.
Sprint training is a wonderful way to explain this. Those who go out for an hour run, reduce their lung capacity, lower their testosterone and growth hormone levels, and traumatize their joints. Yet, those who sprint for six to 15 seconds and take two minutes to recover, increase lung capacity and increase hormone levels.
That’s NOT FAIR, you say?
Indeed, it might not be fair, but it’s the way nature works. Forget the ideal of work, work, work. Instead, begin to appreciate the value of rest, of wasting time.
As I was once told by a martial arts teacher, “There is no such thing as wasting time in our art.”
If you’re not getting the results you want, it may be that you’re not putting enough time, focus and energy into your workouts. Likewise, it may be that you’re training to fatigue, to failure and that you’re not resting enough.
Forget training to fatigue and failure. Do your sets – then rest your azz off.
This is the secret way to get the results you wanted, that no one ever told you before, because he didn’t have a clue either.

P.S. I have a special offer for you. See below:
Even though I prefer reading printed copies of books, and am not a fan of digital books, I also realize that many of my customers want a book NOW and don’t care if the format is non-physical.. This reality makes me shudder, but there is something good about it.
The good part is especially true for those who love to collect books and DVDs that you can hold in your hands. I am one of those people, too. There’s something grand about the feeling of holding a treasured book in your hands and being able to turn the pages with excitement, enthusiasm and gusto.
Regrettably, there will be a day fairly soon, when more of my international best-selling PRINTED books will become collector’s items. I’ve seen some listed for over a thousand bucks on amazon.
Yes, I can and will come out with NEW material fairly soon that will initially be available in both a printed and digital format. But then, as the former gives way to the newer, the product will only be available digitally.
If you’re of the generation who still wants a “hard copy” of products, then time is of the essence. I encourage you to pick up a copy of Combat Conditioning (and the DVDs to boot). There aren’t that many left – and once they are “outta here” they are “outa there.”
When you place your order today for a printed copy of Combat Conditioning NOW, we are also enclosing a copy of Kick Ass Take Names at no charge.
Not only that, but you will also receive an autographed copy of one of the martial arts magazines I was on the cover of a few years ago, and this is also being given to you gratis.
You won’t see this offer on the Combat Conditioning page because I’m only announcing it in this email as a reward to those of you who open and read my dispatches each day. Rest assured, as long as supplies last, you WILL get these two bonus gifts in your package.
When we run out of CC and KATN, you will only be able to get them only as digital downloads. This is the only way you can currently get some of my other books, such as Combat Abs, Gama Fitness and Primate Power, so the trend is set.
Jump on this NOW, my friend.
By the way: This offer ONLY applies to those ordering NOW.
